bad experience
i have had this bike for 2 years and i bought it brand new. After just 2 months the back wheel was lose or something and chain came off. Then when i went to register it with department of transportation, they told me this company wasn't even registered in their data base.

Good Learner Bike
the 350 Daytona is an excellent bike for learners! with a low weight and low power it makes learning the basics rather simple and a great stepping stone for a cruiser later in life. my Daytona has only had 1 fault since the dealer-fuel gauge doesnt work (not even a problem really since i go by the odometer like your meant too) but it not working sort of made me feel like High Octane Motorcycles in Thomastown Victoria rushed the bike out without testing everything first. simply they didnt fill the tank to check so i also received it on a near em...Read more
pty tank, so i had to make a trip in my car to the servo. so i was risking running out of fuel on the way. but the customer service ive heard from other people is second to none should a problem occur, and John is a very easy person to get along with whos very down to earth and knows his stuff. Bike Runs Great, recommend the turnout pipes from the dealer and the 30 tooth sprocket ASAP (bike revs too high for my liking at 100kph otherwise) new sparkplugs and a pod filter will also help if you find it lacking in performance but most cruiser riders dont need extra power from my experience. Hunter motorcycles also has a great forum for the riders to chat and discuss various aspects of riding and owning a Hunter. workingwithhunters on youtube has some useful videos on servicing and even a video on changing the rear sprocket to the 30 tooth one! so expect a great community that comes with the bike so to wrap it up Power: might need more but upgrades mentioned above rectify most of that issue Handling: handles well for a light bike and great for learning on Dealer (that i dealt with) : friendly staff, happy to fix any issue, dont rush them and make sure they test everything before you pick it upSimilar opinion? My New Love
I bought a Hunter Daytona almost a year ago now, and I am still in luuuuurve. I was just googling Hunters to see if I could find some new mirrors and I saw the review below............sheeeesh. I'm barely 5'5" and I can reach everything no problems. I did have to have a friend adjust the gear lever down coz i think they're set up for blokes wearing steel caps, but it only took him 5 minutes and now its perfect. side cover and I tightened the mirrors myself. YES, I have a spanner and I know how to use it!! Lols. I really only ride on weekends, but have ridden from Perth to Beverly and back one day and my toosh was pretty good when I got home. (If I do say so). I bought a single seat because I like the look, but I find the dual seat is more comfortable so mostly leave that on now. I get really good mileage, the fuel gauge isn't very accurate though so I just click the trip meter and I fill up every 200 kms or so. It costs around $15 of premium when I fill up. One of my Friends has a Harley and he let me try that but to be honest as much as I loved his Harley, its way too heavy and its higher off the ground, I was originally just going to keep the Hunter until I got a full Licence but I think I'll stick with it now.Similar opinion? The worse bike I've ever tried in my life
I've been curious about this bike because it looks so good. I have a friend of a friend who has one of these. So, I asked my friend to ask him if I can test ride it. He said yes, so I did.
This is my impression:
1. Look = So good.
2. Handling = From the seat to the handle bar is way too far for most people unless you have long arms.
3. Suspension = Horrible.
4. Comfort = Horrible.
Even if I was given this bike for free, I would not ride it.

The vibration was so bad, I could even feel it at 60km/h on the foot pegs. Being $350 CC, is not good enough excuse to vibrate that bad as there are lots of bikes smaller and ride much better. I would never ever touch this ever again and certainly will not recommend this bike to anybody. Hyosung 250, Yamaha Virago 250, Kawasaki Eliminator 250 would be much better choice.Similar opinion? Cheap and cheerful
On first impressions of the hunter daytona you find yourself at that childhood stage of saying Cool far to much, this bike has staggering looks, besides the clear gap in the frame were more engine should be there is a lot to love about the style, the wide rear tyre, large front wheel, and ofcourse those thug looking twin disc rotors on the front end.
You also get the impression it is a very large bike, but once you get on and feel how light the bike really is it makes you feel at home.

Excellent LAMS bike
The 350cc EFI has been excellent, full sized bike with a decent sized engine for learners or those just wanting to cruise around. The bike doesn't feel as big as it looks, at 5 foot 9 I find it very comfortable, not stretched out at all.
If the Hunters aren't being flogged they are very durable. I've ridden mine at least 60km per day since purchase from Dragon Bikes & Karts in Mandurah WA. Only issue I've had is the fuel gauge which was replaced under warranty, really no big deal as I've always gone off km's.

omise at a good price and easy to work on for those not mechanically inclined. I had the baffles taken out of the pipes before I took it home which I would recommend to any buyer, they can sound a bit tinny with baffles in. Comfortably sits on freeway speeds all day, may not get up to speed limits as quick as a larger bike but it isn't designed to. Very much an attractive bike and people will ask about it regularly. Awesome bike
This bike is by far the best thing I've ever owned. I can't understand the frustration of people who own them and have problems. I've done over 1000kms on her and not one issue. I have made some minor adjustments for comfort and sound and the bike not only turns heads, but attracts friendly people who ask questions for 10 minutes before taking a picture. If you want to own a bike before taking the plunge and buying a HD or something, get one of these. Second hand for 3-5k? Can't go wrong!

Excellent Learner Bike
The Daytona is a 350cc Learner bike, and it acts like it.
The comfortable top speed is around 120, it sounds pretty tame and doesnt hold much petrol in the tank, however it can go through a work week on a single tank, it looks good and its big enough to be comfortable (i'm 6 foot 4).
I have had mine almost a month now with no problems, and I'm not the most cautious person, but a certain amount of care needs to be taken. For example; letting it warm up on cold mornings, not flattening it straight out of the crate and dont try and race people...Read more
. As long as you take care of the bike, dont over rev it and dont try to hold it flat for too long it will treat you well and you'll have fun on it. The seat is relatively comfy and some minor mods can be made to get the bike sounding a bit better. Starting the thing is so easy compared to my old dirtbike, just flick the killswitch and press the starter. All in all its a solid learner cruiser and I love mine, be careful with yours and you shouldnt have any problems either! Looks, Feel and how cheap it is to run around on it. Doesn't live up to standard
Where do I start. In the first 3 months of owning the bike it has been in the shop 7 times ! As we speak it's in the shop has been for the last month and half. We are lucky as the dealer is fixing all the factory faults and poor parts for free.
The first cruise I had on the bike it broke down on the side of the highway. 2 days after owning it. I highly recommend to look else where instead of this brand. Every time we bring the bike to get fixed the shop has at least 2 other hunters getting fix.
Even the dealership has stopped selling them. We thought it was a great deal, getting a brand new bike and two year unlimited ks warranty, but we now see why. Nothing but disappointment to honest.
