infected eczema

published

My son got an infected eczema at 4 weeks old and we were using only 2 weeks. It took a week diagnose and 2 hospital and midwife visits. His skin was really bad. Never use it again, I wish I listened to other mum about who's babies were affected by this product.

Never harsh to my baby's skin

published

i love that this product didn't irritate my baby's skin. It has a little faint smell to it but it goes away after a while. it bubbles up easily and every bath turns a little play time because my little 1 year old loves taking bath. also, it comes with a lot of variants which is amazing!

Too harsh, caused dermatitis

published

My bub broke out in an awful rash from top to toe with this. I later discovered many people (including dermatologists and pediatricians) who recommended NOT to use this product because it is too harsh for babies. He improved as soon as I stopped it. I can't understand how it can be marketed for babies when it is so harsh.

Caused dandruff on my newborn

published

Tried this on my 6 week old baby . Prior to this I only ever used water. As soon as I used it he developed dandruff flakes all over his scalp. I gave this product a second go when he was 8 weeks old with the same result of a dry dandruffy scalp. I won't be using it again.

I do not recommend this for sensitive skins

published

I used this product for my older son he had no issue, But my second son showed severe reaction, He has seborrhoeic dermatitis which using this product make it worse, any time I used this in less than 24 hrs he was covered by rashes, I double checked with Pharmacist and It seems this product is too harsh on baby skin.
still looking for an alternative replacement

Baby Loves It

published

It smells great, it's soft and light on my babies skin, I have never had a problem with the top to toe wash. Good price not costly like some other products. I brought the big bottle and used it since my baby was a newborn he is now 9 months old and we still have a lot left.

Great for adults with sensitive skin...

published

I have never been able to use soap due to my ultra sensitive skin so I decided to give this a try and low and behold no sensitivities to this wash, guess I'm just one big clean baby now. I will be using this religiously every shower now and will remain squeeky clean, Yay..
Smells nice, mild, cleans well.

I'd recommend this product for cleaning babies or leather car seats. Who knows, it might even work on a lounge suite too!
Great for cleaning leather car seats, car smells like a baby.
Baby smells like my car, it's so hard to tell them apart now.

I'd be a little worried that something that cleans leather effectively is marketed for my precious baby!

It pays to look at the ingredients and understand what they are. I avoid any product that is toxic to myself and my family.

My babies pediatriction advised me that it is quite common for babies skin to react to this product. I have since spoken to other mothers and doctors and they have all said the same thing. I am suprised that such a well known trusted product like this can be a problem to a lot of babies. I would have thought Johnson's would have looked into this to resolve this problem.
Available at all major stores. Smells nice. Washes baby from head to toe eliminating the need for seperate shampoo and conditioner.
This product caused my baby to develop an allergic reaction. Her body developed a rash.

Johnsons head to toe baby wash was supplied to me at the maternity ward at the hospital. I like it because not only is it just a bath soap its made also to wash babys hair. I use this in the morning and johnsons bedtime bath in the night and I do prefer the bed time baths smell.
Well known trusted brand, inexpensive, a little bit always goes a long way, also comes in a pump bottle and it lasts a long time, head to toe baby wash does everything from soaping the baby to washing their hair.
There is not a lot to dislike about Johnsons head to toe wash. I do prefer the other Johnson bedtime bath smells though.

This is a nice gentle product that I used on my baby when quite young. It is relatively cheap to purchase and you do not need to use a lot of it to see any impact. I did not use it all the time and occasional use is best I think as sometimes just plain water is the best, especially for babies with sensitive skin.
A nice product that is easy to find at most stores, you do not need to use a lot of it and it does give a nice clean and leaves babies skin feeling nice.
None, but I would not use it every day.

I recieved this baby bath wash as a baby shower gift and loved using it until i ran out - it didn't last as long as i expected as i found i had to use a bit more than i would usually use to wash the baby. I havent bought this product since though as i found it was quite expensive for the small bottles and couldn't justify the price for a ovely smelling baby.
I ove the smell of this product. After a bath my baby a a lovely fresh scent and he seemed to be very mouisurised after his bath.
Quite expensive for the small size bottle

It's a nice product, but I don't recommend it for every day use, just because I feel it dries out the skin a bit. I even noticed this with my hands when I was using it to bath the bub!
A nice product from a trusted brand, the bottle is pricy but goes a decent way, the texture is nice and it has a very soft, gentle fragrance which lingers after bub's bath. Can be used in skin as well as in hair so a bonus as it's a two for one product.
I felt it dried out the bub's skin a little bit, but went better in his hair.

Great! Easy to use pump bottle, Comes in a big size so it lasts longer. Baby loves his baths with this, he is 3 weeks, so far so good! No dry skin, i use this on his head and body, smells beautiful! Makes heaps of bubbles and seems to make baby very clean. I have had no problems with this at all, and would recommend it to others. was used in hospital also.

This is a nice product and is smell really good. It is inexpensive and easy to use - the pump bottles are great and its so easy to squirt some on a cloth to give bub a quick clean if you are in a hurry (rather than a full bath). Unfortunately it dried her skin out too much and we had to use a fair bit of moisturizer to fix it all up. Maybe when bub gets much older it might be heaps better but we won't use it on her until then as it is a little bit too harsh.
Smells nice, inexpensive. This was recommended by the midwives in hospital.
Seemed to dry bub's skin out a bit too much.

I am very sceptical when I hear that this is the no.1 recommended wash in maternity hospitals - I heard that the reason it is recommended is because of their clsoe relationship with Johnsons. Either way, I did try it and was not happy at all - it made bub's skin and scalp very dry.
It smells nice and I decided to try it as it was a well known brand that was recommended by the midwives at the hospital.
It dried my bub's skin and scalp terribly. I eventually stopped using it as bub's skin got so bad. I now use QV Wash, which is amazing.

A nice product for everyday use. I try to buy it when it is on special at Big W or Target, so it tends to be very good value for money (especially with the small amount that is used each time). Have not had any tears yet from using it on baby.
Long lasting (only need to use one or two squirts for each bath time). Being a Johnson & Johnson product, I felt like I could trust the product and it would be gentle for baby's skin.
I find that if I use it too often on baby's hair, the scalp does tend to get a little dry. I try and only wash the hair with it every seven to ten days.
