Menstrual cups are awesome
Juju menstrual cups are very good the only Australian made brand on the market I've had it over a year and still use it on lighter days. They would work well as a starter cup, for a medium cervix, they are firm enough to pop open easily inside. There are more variety of shapes and sizes overseas but as my first cup I still use it regularly. Due to a low cervix I had to cut off the stem and flip it inside out because it was rubbing badly. But now works fine just more slippery inside out.
After disinfecting on the stove then in peroxide it changed colour and has developed very fine brittle cracks. So I would suggest just rinsing with hot tap water.

not good for my heavy days ( graphic descriptions warning!)
I had a hard time slicing my inner self with my fingernails, trying to find a fold that would open. I did that, and then struggled with removal!
Once I figured out my best contortion, plus bear down move, to remove it, it was great! I loved sleeping with it. But as soon as my heavy day came, I felt wetness within ten minutes of placing. Three big clots had travelled down and filled the cup! I know there were three, because as I bore down and pinched the base of the cup, my muscles compressed the cup and most of the contents ended up over my ba...
Great alternative to tampons - won't ever go back!
Like starting anything new, you're cant expect it to go perfectly smooth right away... The first time I inserted the juju cup, it worked magically - no leaks or discomfort. When I emptied it and reinserted, I had a couple minor leaks because I hadn't found the sweet spot as to where it should sit in my body. However, with a little more practice I have figured out the right way to insert and place the cup so it works as its meant to.
I think you really need to make sure that you're pinching the cup until its fully inserted if possible, and tha...

Fantastic - so far superior to traditional alternatives
Juju's menstrual cup has made a huge positive difference. My only complaint is not having one so much sooner. Since owning one, I have not used a single disposable product. I recommend trying it out between periods, and then there is absolutely the familiarity with being certain it has opened up properly once positioned - to be sure there won't be leaks. Being able to turn it in place is a great tip - conversely, if it won't turn, it probably hasn't opened/unfolded.
No bathroom bin full of pads, no bulk - less changing. Night time use i...
Read mores so great - feels so free. Feels clean, fresh and have to remember it's there. Overseas travel was great too. Cannot recommend highly enough. I had my doubts, but with a few months of perseverance and practice with placement and removal, this product gets a massive personal endorsement from me.Find out how Juju Menstrual Cup compares to other Tampons & Menstrual Cups

Ok - but hard to remove.
The juju was easy to insert and i had no leaks but when it came to removing it, it was very difficult to grip & it took several attempts over several hours to eventually remove.

Great so far so good
I like it but I think it is not for those with heavy period. I really like it but the moment I get it out it takes a little technique especially as a little nudge won't get it off. Its pretty fine once I got it in and it really holds everything in. SO far no leaks and I'm happy with it.

No confidence it won't leak :(
The first time I used this it was great! Then my period became heavy and it's constantly leaking! I have to wear a liner and it's too difficult with my job to be removing and replacing it at work. No matter what I try it still leaks (I'm doing the 45 degree angle to the back of the spine, using my pelvic floor to position, and it's still leaking!). It feels uncomfortable removing it, and especially messy! it's worse than having those cold instruments shoved up there during a pap smear. Disappointed. I was hoping this would save me money and be better for the environment but I'm not comfortable and scared I will leak in public.

Amazing until you try to get it out!
Everything was great until trying to remove it. Getting it in seemed daunting but ended up being fine and once in you don't even notice it and no leaks. Removing it however is frightening. I was able to eventually get it out in my first two attempts but after leaving it in overnight it had gone so far up I could barely reach it (plus it's VERY slippery). I tried until my hands were cramped then had to ask my boyfriend to get it out. Do not recommend if you have a high cervix, needs to be redesigned with grip added. Really want to keep using it but building up the confidence to try it again will be hard.
Life changing!!!
I am so glad I have this cup a try. I have really strong periods and had to change tampons so many times a day. This was really annoying at work and it's gross having to change them at public toilets etc.
After reading a lot of reviews abut the cup I was kind of terrified that I can't get it out BUT ITS SO EASY!!
I can't feel it at all when I wear it and I have left it in for 12 hours at a time. I totally forget that I have my period until I change it before I go to bed. There's no annoying tampon changes.
For me this has been a life change...

Absolute Lifechanger for a Teenager
It was amazing. It changed the way I feel about my period. I no longer need to worry about my period at school because the cup can stay in longer than a tampon and doesn't leak. Hard to remove at first but gets better once you get the hang of it.

Design flaws
I've been using a menstrual cup for a few years now so when my old cup needed replacing I was excited to find the Australian made Juju. It is just as effective as my old cup but is very difficult to remove due to the short, smooth tail. My other cup has a slightly longer, flatter tail with ridges on it that make it so easy to remove.

I'm happy I persisted!
Well, I had absolutely no issues putting this in and it was immediately comfortable and I had zero leakage. What was problematic, however, was the removal. The cup sat too high for me to reach and I unfortunately had to go to a nurse to get it removed after hours of trying. After seeking advice from JUJU I tried a few 'dry runs' (without my period) to try and get the cup to sit lower, although the cup rode up during the day despite inserting it further down. I wasn't until the fourth try that I tried a pushing motion which lowered my cervix and I was able to reach the cup and remove easily!!! Hooray!! So glad I persisted and found a technique that works :)

Disappointed
Unfortunately I'm unable to use my juju cup with any confidence. I always have to wear a panty liner as the cup invariably leaks. What I am confident about is that I bought the right size. I have never had children and when I have a pap smear the doctor has to use a child's speculum. I have followed the instructions to a T and still experience leakage. I'm so disappointed because I was really looking forward to doing away with tampons.

It's excellent! Life changing!
I love my juju cup! it's such a game changer. I love that I can go 12 hours in between emptying. Compared to changing tampons every 4hrs. I can run with it comfortably. The only thing is that it can be hard to pull at first coz it's slippery but you get better with practice. Would definitely recommend it.
Best product I've bought in a long time !
Definitely worth it - no discomfort or worries about leaking, nicer to deal with than pads or tampons (less gross) .
It is difficult AT FIRST to remove, but definitely improves with practice. The trick I found is to hold the stem then use the other hand to press the other part and loosen the suction. It's a bit awkward but only takes me a minute now. It's worth it to avoid messier and more expensive options.
Love it eco friendly
I love that this is eco friendly, it saves dollars, it better for your body health, it's aussie made, but agreed on other reviews, its not easy to remove, its slippery, it does need a decent grip on the bottom to pinch to loosen the suction.. dissapoiinted on this part.
Traumatising to pull out
Very glad that insertion was not very painful, and that I couldn't feel it as I slept. However, it was impossible to pull out. The bottom isn't easy to grip and I took several hours to try. Gave up and am now seeing a GP. Very disappointed and am hesitant to use it ever again. Even seeking a refund.
Would NEVER go back to tampons!
I love my JuJu. I would never go back to using tampons. My periods are a breeze now and I don't have to worry about changing it at all during the day - so good.
Just brilliant!
This is brilliant! No waste and I'm saving a small fortune every month by avoiding pads and tampons. I've found it very easy to use and it hasn't leaked yet- not even when I initially started using it. I even find it less messy and far more comfortable than using pads. As for getting it out, it was interesting at first until I pushed down a bit and then no problem. I love the fact that its Australian too.

Ridiculously hard to remove
I used this 4 times and liked it - more comfortable than tampons, doesn't leak, easy to insert etc but ridiculously hard to remove !!! The 4th time i used it was the hardest to remove, I was honestly thinking I had to go to the medical centre . Removal is a two handed job - the last attempt I grabbed the end bit with 2 hands and pulled as hard as I could. Impossible to get traction by grabbing the sides. Since then I have had 2 periods and have not had the guts to use it and go through that again. Very dissappointing I think it is irresponsible to put people through that kind of terror.

Other brands are easier to use
I bought this to replace my old cup because it is an Australian company. However, I wish I'd just bought the same brand again. There are a couple of big flaws with this one. Mostly, it is too slippery and there isn't enough grip to easily remove (you are not supposed to use the 'tail' to remove it. My last brand had a more matte finish and good grip lines around the base so it was very easy to remove. The butterflies around the base of this one look prettier, but they are useless for grip. I will probably stick with this now I've bought it, but wouldn't recommend to anyone else. I haven't named the other brand cup in case people think my review is a plant for that company.

Best thing ever!
This is most definitely money well spent. I no longer dread that time of the month at all. This is the most convenient, comfortable and liberating product, more women need to know about these. I too wish I had known about this earlier, I would have saved myself a lot of money!
The Juju menstrual cup in particular is Australian so it's nice to be supporting local.
I like how clean and safe it is compared to tampons or pads. It's environmentally friendly too, so nice to know I'm not contributing that kind of waste any more. It can safely be lef...
Juju menstrual cup replaces tampons
I've been using this this juju cup for a couple of months now and I wish I'd found it earlier. I only have to "change" it twice a day, once in the morning and once so don't have to worry about it at all during the day when I'm at work or out and about. I have sensitive skin and this product is made from medical grade silicone and is hypoallergenic. I do a fair bit of sport (swimming, pilates and running) and it's great for active women because it's all internal and I'm not worried about my string hanging out or leaking. For me it's the freedom ...
