The ultimate for any BBQ
My wife got me one for my birthday, it is the best thing since sliced bread. She wishes she didnt get it now because i spend most evenings firing it up and experimenting with a new recipe.
Ultra solid and robust construction and total control over heat. Idea for anything from sausages and burgers to a 6kg lump of beef. If your into ribs or brisket - this is the beast you need.

Brilliant
I brought a big Joe in Sydney Australia, I am big on BBQ's and I can tell you that it's the best thing if you love cooking ... it's efficient it's everything a BBQ should be. Very Heavy though - 250kg one piece so if you have to lift a long way you are going to need help ... 10/10 love it !! Thanks Kamado Joe !!!

Good BBQ
I purchased this from BBQ's Galore Bankstown on10/1/15. My Kamado is over 2 years old and still looks brand new as I store out of the weather. Over time my lid will no longer stay up and you have to understand the lids are really heavy and when they let go you want to hope your there to catch the lid as damage to yourself or the lid may occur. I think over time due to the extreme heat the springs that take the wait of the lid softens over time. I did some research on this and it seems like its a common problem with the Big Joes but not the litt...Read more
le Joes. You can adjust them to tighten the spring but doesn't last long and I ended up with a gap at the back allowing heat to escape. I tried going through warranty as they give a 5 years on all metal parts. BBQ's galore said they will send someone out to my home to replace the faulty parts but that's well over a month maybe months ago and I'm still waiting. I tried the company overseas Kamado Joe, you just get run around emails very disappointing as it is a good product but no customer service. Pros: Reaches really high temps 300 plus degrees not a problem, holds the heat in and can easily adjust temps once you have the knack Cons: Very heavy even on wheels you really don't want to move around as I'm worried something may break you need flat even ground. Price very expensive after the problems I having I am disappointed, I now use a shovel to wedge between the lid and the ground to hold the lid open. For after sales service zero from the manufacture or store, may have to really chase for warranty claims. Also when you buy this product it won't be perfect there will be the odd air bubble from when it was casted. The lid may not line up exactly, as long as there isn't any heat escaping it won't make any difference. Lump charcoal can be expensive so look around and buy bulk Overall a really good product but for the money and the problems I'm having I wouldn't buy again, if you don't need large temps in excess of 220 degrees Weber Kettle will do everything this thing will do if your thinking extra room for the price I paid for this I could of bought 4 maybe 5 Weber kettles. That's just my opinion. I think the problem I'm having with the lid even if they replace the springs, or the whole bracket going around the unit due to excessive heat will soften and I will end up with the same problem for the rest of its life. Just keep replacing springs while parts are around or use my shovel to hold the lid up. I hope this review has helped.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The Only Grill You Need
This is the perfect BBQ to have for all your needs. It is the perfect upgrade from the Weber Kettle. it allows you to low n slow, high heat, pizza oven, rotisserie with the Joetisserie (classic model only atm) (BiG Joe out soon) as well as baking. This has to be one of the most versatile grills with the amount of uses you can have from it. There is a slight learning curve but if you keep it up you can really understand it. I started out with the Big Joe and then I also purchased the Joe Jr 6 months after. The Jr is perfect for smaller cooks and...Read more
anything you want to get going. I then purchased the Classic as well so that I could enjoy the Joetisserie and it is perfect to use when you just need the extra space. Overall I am happy with my purchase and with the new upgrades coming through in the 2017 model it is definitely worth the purchase It is expensive but this will be a grill that will last you a life time and will allow you to pass on to your family, generation after generation. Did I mention the lifetime warranty? If you are considering it I would say jump on it as once you have it you won't be looking back!!!

So glad i bought this BBQ!!
All i can say is that the Big Joe is worth every cent, It is such a great BBQ.
It is very easy to clean and look after, It is great a holding temperatures for long periods of time with little interaction.
The larger grill space means you can cook larger quantities if you like entertaining people or have a big family. If you want to do just a small cook you can use the charcoal divider plate and use half the charcoal.
