Another great LG purchase of mine
This is another LG product I bought mainly based upon previous reviews here at Product Review. I decided to go with the LG style of machine (agitator-less top loading) after many years of being frustrated with standard front and top loaders. This product has exceeded my hopes and expectations. It is very well built and very quiet (considering it is a washing machine after all). I like that I can see what is going on via the glass top and the programming options for the actual washing cycle itself are extremely flexible - it is hard to imagine y...Read more
ou wouldn't be able to find an optimal combination of settings for any type of load. One feature that I was really happy to see was the lint filtering system. Unlike many standard top loaders that merely have a single, relatively fragile filtering bags this machine has dual filters that are very robust - sufficiently robust such that they should easily last the life of the machine. They are really easy to remove and clean and do a great job of removing lint. The machine has a much better footing system than I have seen on other brands - the feet seem to very thoughtfully engineered and possess very good vibration absorption qualities. They stay in place like limpets even on a semi-gloss ceramic tile floor. I like the way the various fluids are added as well - it just seems easier to fill this machine with detergent and fabric conditioner than other brands and the receptacles tend to be self-cleaning (not sure if that is by design or accident). Onto a couple of minor not-so-great points: perhaps I am being a bit pedantic but the gloss covering over the front control panel could have been made out of a much more robust, scratch resistant film - even just wiping it down gently with a normal chamois put micro-scratches on it so I am not really keen on cleaning this panel too often over time (though there is still no trouble seeing what all the settings are). I would have preferred a much more rugged finish for an appliance like this which gets used so often in a laundry environment. The second not-so-great thing is the Delay functionality. I realise they probably wanted to keep things simple but the options are a little bit inflexible. You can't program in an actual desired finish time - there are only presets available that tell the machine to finish in 3, 4 hours, etc. I would have preferred the more complicated option of simply telling it exactly how much time I wanted to add to the existing time readout. With only an hour increment at best, you may find the machine finishing far earlier or far later than you wanted it to. Nonetheless, these are minor quibbles and not enough in my experience to warrant less than 5 stars - simply because the machine does the basic job of washing so well and so efficiently.Similar opinion? Good value and quality
We purchased a month before writing this review, and so far I’m very happy with the washing machine. Previously I had a $1200 front loader, so I wasn’t sure how this would compare, but I’m quite impressed. It filters lint much better than my front loader did, and washes much larger loads effectively, even though this is rated at 1.5kg less capacity than my old washer. I like the automatic wash selection, which is pretty much all I use now. It’s a good idea to wash towels separately to clothes, because while good, the lint filter can’t perform miracles as I found out. I’m very happy with this purchase, and I would recommend as a good quality mid price range washing machine.

Had better.
Had this washing machine for four months now, washing all right, but takes much longe than my old Fisher and Paykel, and uses a lot more water, should have stuck with a front loader. Doesn’t do better than my old front loader only takes much longer to do a washing

Absolutely perfect.
Bought 2018. Excellent in every way, perhaps a bit loud but not when the laundry door is shut. Highly recommend it.
The favourite features are that is automatically programmable once the power button is turned on. Just drop in your clothes add powder and press start. It does the rest.

Outstanding washing machine
We have had nothing but positive experiences with this washing machine since purchasing it around 2 months ago. It weighs the washing and uses the right amount of water for the cycle, and tells you to put in a certain amount of powder or liquid. This has washed our clothes properly every time and is fairly economical. The only negative is that it is fairly loud.
