Convenient - Necessary/Handy as a backup or travel sterilizer
Our journey into microwave sterilizer bags started abruptly. Tuesday morning a few weeks ago, our UV sterilizer wouldn't switch on. With the calls of our hungry baby filling the house and piles of feeding equipment (shields, bottles, pumps dummies etc ) needing to be cleaned to be able to be used, we needed a solution and fast.

Read morehed in a drawer in babies room. In the 2 weeks it took to get our UV sterilizer back in action I became quite expert in using these bags. Both the Medela bags (reviewed here) and the Spectra bags (in an other review). Although there was a small learning curve both brands of bags work fine although are slightly different to use. And not surprisingly the instructions to use them are slightly different too. Melted my new pvc unit
Followed instruction and got hole melted through the bag and my pvc unit destroyed. Terrible! I invested over $700 into medela products, just very disappointing that I'll have to get new tubing! Total waste of money these bags are and you can only use them 20 times. I didn't even use mine 2 times.and they are costly as well. Disappointed. Expected more for the products which are so highly priced.

Really handy instead of sterilisation unit
Take next to no storage space, portable, I have used more than the 20 times recommend and look perfect.
A little expensive but they last longer the recommended use.
Can fit 2 full bottles or full breast pump kit in one bag for a 3 min microwave cycle.
Highly recommended if you have limited space or don't want feeding clutter in your kitchen.
