It shreds and torn clothes
Its been just over 5 years I have this machine. It now started to torn and shred my clothes I never seen any other brands reviews have ever had this issue.
Smaller items like socks makes way to the drain blocking it every now and then since first month we bought this. I am now an expert in how to fix this problem which doesn't bother me too much.
Sometimes when its spinning I hear loud banging sound as if something has came loose inside.
So many people mention that the cycle time is much longer than it stated on the screen the 8 mins just never seems to be 8 mins.
I am looking at other brands now to replace a better and bigger capacity one. I am sure none of the other brands would chew my clothes.
Purchased in April 2021 at The Good Guys for $644.00.

Goes okay while its in warranty!
Had this machine for 5 years now. At about 3 years it was past it's 2 year warranty, rust appeared on side.
No visible wetness within. I contacted F&P direct and they offered to check it out for a fee plus parts.
I was annoyed as 3 years old it shouldn't be having issues! (I didn't follow up their offer) Over the last year the spin cycle is noisy. Machine still works but also having had a F&P dish washer that fell apart gradually with door springs and control panel collapse, it's the last F&P we will be buying!
What is annoying is it was sold on it's quietness at spin. No longer!
Purchased in October 2021 at Appliances Online for $746.00.

Do not recommend
Had to get it repaired under warranty because it came out of balance and dented the side. Came out with in 2 days and repaired, good customer service.
Its about 4 years old now and is extremely loud and smells burning after spinning. Also leaving grease stains on clothes. Also sometimes takes hours to spin out clothes because its out of balance.
Purchased in January 2021 at The Good Guys.

Short lifespan, no support
Was whisper quiet when we first purchased but after about 3 years started to make a horrible noise on spin, F&P wanted around a $120 just to check plus whatever the replacement parts/labour would be. Its now just gone 4 years and the main bearing is failing, so loud you can't watch TV at the other end of the house and leaving a grease stain on clothes. I spoke with F&P and they basically said too bad, so sad. I accept that it's out of warranty but I got 9+ years out of our old cheap Simpson front loader. 3 to 4 years is just plain poor but F&P seem to think that's acceptable.
Purchased in April 2021 at The Good Guys Physical store for $729.00.

WORST MACHINE EVER!!
I will never buy this brand again. Bad products and extremely bad customer service. Extremely unsatisfactory!!
Washing machine had a Faulty drum from the beginning. This machine was NOT quiet but rather like a jet taking off every time it was used. Technician was booked after paying a ridiculous $120 fee for 5minutes of service and email to F&P. Fisher & Pykel service centre is impossible to talk too and don’t offer extended warranty on any of their products, so after 2 years you can expect it to break down with no accountability from Fisher & ...Read more

Under 4 years' old, disappointing and expensive for 4yrs.
Our first front loader experience has been disappointing (couple only, no tradie clothes), especially since we had our F&P top loader for well over a decade and only changed to update to front loader. For some months now the spin cycle has been extremely noisy (from outside it sounds like an aeroplane taking off) and then the timer wouldn't keep the right time. Then on spin, if the items were towels or anything heavy eg even just one towel, it would go out of balance and just not spin. It is impossible to wash towels because of the spin so we'v...Read more
e been going to the neighbours to wash our towels. It's okay just for small cycles on reduced spin but we need to buy a new one and will not look at F&P ever again. Paid for a (non-F&P) service person to investigate who charged us $300+ to look at washer and fix our F&P clothes dryer(!). Washing machine diagnosis: the bracket holding the inner and outer drums was cracked. Hubby rang F&P who refused to assist at all as the warranty is only two years. I have a video of it in operation but it won't attach below.Purchased in April 2021 at Harvey Norman for $679.00.

A miserable brand and worst service
The worst machine ever, and their greed is enormous; heartless company;
#damaged office uniforms; kids dresses and many more.
#Simply split the cloths during spinning; slit and torn apart. Unbelievable.
When asked to have a look, they will only asked for a warranty, but not looked at the cause of the problem. SHAME on you.
Never buy this ..I won't.

Terrible piece of junk
Had this washing machine 2 years. It has been a pain. Sometimes won’t balance load and it can take 3 hours to do a load. Now it won’t spin. Piece of garbage. Won’t buy fisher and Paykel again. Certainly would not buy the next model. Will buy a competitors brand. Incredibly annoyed.

So disappointed
We bought this machine over a year ago and it's been the bane of my existence. We had an electrolux washing machine for 7 years and had no issues whatsoever.
This machine has had regular issues with the 'no tap' error message at 12 and 23 minutes. Even after we checked all the recommended solutions and cleaned out the filters it STILL makes these error messages and has in the process wasted a lot of water, time and patience from our end.
Not sure it's worth calling out a technician to check these issues or better to buy a new machine!

Quiet, smooth & reliable.
Not only have I been very happy with the performance of the machine over the past 2 1/2 years, but tonight it stopped mid-wash with an 'Err 37'. A little bit of googling took me to the F&P youtube page, which showed me exactly how to drain the drum and fix the fault - a hair pin lodged in the pump impeller. No need to take it apart or call in a repair. Brilliant.

Great washing machine
Love this machine ... super quiet, electronic settings that are easy to follow, washes very well. Only thing to watch out for is when you have a few heavy things in at once (eg a few towels) it can get out of balance and then it seems spin gently rotating from side to side before it then does its spin, which just adds more time to the cycle

Cheap and Reliable Washing machine
We bought the washing machine more than 3 years ago. We never had any problem with it. It is easy to use and does it job very well. The clothes are clean and smell good after every wash. Generally, it is quiet during the wash, except the spin process makes loud sound.

Wont Spin
Worst machine ever does not want to spin its computer brain says it is out of balance and takes for ever to work, most loads take over 1 hour extra to what it says it should we have the machine perfectly level and have to put a vibration mat and the dryer on it to stop it vibrating it is rubbish we spent $804.00 which included delivery and levelling and have put up with this machine for 18months and now are going to throw it away what a waste of money F&P will never purchase another one of your products again

Unreliable
Worst appliance in my house! We have lived in our home for just over two years and have so many issues with this washing machine, always has error codes and the technichians take so long to come out and fix it.
It make so much noise and shakes around violently even when leveled and pump filter has been cleaned. Honestly one of the worst purchases I've made.

Terrible Machine, has had the same part replaced three times.
I will never buy a Fisher and Paykel appliance again. I have had the bellows replaced three times, each time they only last for a few months. Usually they break off at the same point, the last time the machine started leaking before the piece broke off so I was able to take photos and show the repairman how it was getting suctioned to the door which then resulted in it breaking each time. I had it replaced again yesterday after a two week wait for service, in November it was a three week wait for service. In November the pump was not placed in...Read more
correctly by the repair man (even though that had nothing to do with the problem) and the machine leaked straight away. So much for the testing process, this time my quiet machine sounds like a plane taking off, so I will need to call them again to come out to see no doubt waiting another two weeks. They can't even do the testing process correctly in my case there was no attempt to test, as the power plug was not even connected.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good
Washes good, the balancing can sometimes be a bit pathetic but its a really good washing machine. Clothes come out dry but of course i wanted the Washsmart as its got more options, cycles and 1400rpm spin. Hope you guys will pick this washer and review it. Good luck. I hope there is a little improvements.

Love it it's fantastic
I love the front loader as I have always used a top loader. It cleans to perfection gentle on my clothes which is a big plus. It is very quiet when running so it doesn't disturb anyone sleeping. It saves on my water bill so very economical. I find it very easy to use, no problems cleaning inside the barrel. The best feature is my clothes come out beautifully clean what more could anyone ask for.

Quiet to run
the machine is very quiet to run, I often forget that it's on until it plays it's little chime at the end of is wash cycle. it is a 7.5kg machine but does struggle with heavier loads requiring you to manually shift things around inside if it can't self balance before starting its spin cycle. The times it displays for it's wash cycles can be considered a best guess at the minimum time it will take. if the load is uneven it will do a few slow rotations in each direction to try and re-balance the load, this adds to the wash time so if you need to ...Read more
consider this when putting a wash load on. it does get clothes clean enough and removes most of the dog hair that we accumulate on clothes being pet owners. I tend to use the quick load function for most things but the delicates cycle is gentle enough to wash most of my hand wash only garments. I do like that it has a Drum Clean setting that i can run it on once a fortnight to clean it, very handly. The variety of cycles it offers is good and it has been fairly economical with water to run. I love that you can pause the wash to throw something else in or rescue something that you didn't mean to put in.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Excellent washing machine
This is my first front loader and I will never go back to a top loader. I have had this machine around 6 months now and I love it. It is very quiet, even when spinning, except i have noticed if I do a full load of towels the top spin speed is a little high, it is a bit noisier but has only come unbalanced once. Everything is always really clean (I use OMO ultimate powder), no soap marks. Standard wash takes about an hour but can take longer if the load needs a lot of re balancing (which the machine does by itself). I allow about an hour and a h...Read more
alf if I want to hang it out before I leave. I love the delay function, it's great, although keep in mind that the time you set to delay is when it will start not finish. So if you set to delay by three hours it will start in three hours' time not finish. I love the prewash function. I love the fact that it has hot and cold tap connectors which saves on power. It also has a great feature where it tells you when you need to clean the machine and all you have to do is run the clean cycle with detergent, you don't have to manually clean, except to check the filter as suggested in the manual. It has a key lock function which is great if you have kids as it means they can't fiddle with the buttons though I also turn the power point off when not in use. I purchased from the good guys and they weren't very flexible on price but it was on sale already and the delivery people were great, very professional and efficient, took all the rubbish away, the machine was ready to go when they left. Capacity is great, I can fit a full set of queen size bed linen, for example, and it can even handle a single bed quilt (low spin).Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My washing machine now when it spins is so loud. It was never like this. What is the problem?

Bearings! I rang local repair shop and to repair will cost 2/3 of a new machine of similar price. They said when they hear this its a junker. (ie not worth fixing)
I've washed 4 loads brought 5 days ago soooo loud and vibrations are insane

We bought Quicksmart WH 7560/J1 in Dec 2014 for my son, studying and living interstate. We initially found it quite impressive, quiet and effective. However, we found some of his clothing got holes that I thought as normal wear and tear. After we moved and lived with him for a year now, my wife was surprised and terrible annoyed to find out many of her beloved clothing started getting holes and linen torn apart. We had already switched to use delicate and 700 spin, but still having the problems. I looked inside the drum to see any loosen parts or sharp edges. The only possible cause I could see was the embossed pattern around the edge of the stainless still drum or internal design of the drum causing frictions with clothing during spin cycles. Anyone had this experience and suggestions, otherwise we have to dump this machine and get another one? Thanks/Ben

Never had troubles like this. Just spin noise getting louder. Ours is 5 years old. Spoke to repair person said cost would be 2/3 of a new or equivalent unit. He suggested go for a Bosch as the front loader F & P are made in Asia and use cheap parts. I agree we loved our F & P machine up until the noise but we also had rust occurring after 3 years! (That is just not on!)
