Worst of the worst.

These tyres are by far the most expensive money can buy.i put them on to replace the baja stz which already could no balance properly. These ones all have a flat spot because i perked on flat ground and didn't drive my car for 2 weeks! Apparently to get rid of that flat spot it must be driven enough kilometres to run hot in order to get rid of that parking flat! spot.! Are you for real? I hated them so much (and the cost me 440 each) .that i am selling them on gumtree for 1000 for the 5 including a brand new spare. I put on 5 other tyres from another brand and all of a sudden no more balancing issues, no more grip issues, no more flat spot issues, Mickey Thompson never again.

Purchased in November 2021 for A$2,200.00.

Shockers!

Haven't had a puncture in years and then in 7000km from new these MT tyres have punctured on gravel roads 3times! I always run correct pressures and don't do any 'real' four wheel driving. My wife's Lancer drives the same roads with no worries. These tyres are rubbish.

Awesome tyres. Great balance of mud and all terrain. Pretty quiet on the road and excellent off it. Good grip and mud clearance, spreads well on low psi. Definitely recommend.

Rubbish tyres

published

These tyres are rubbish, I had 265 / 60 /18's and I will be lucky to get 40000km out of a set and they don't handle continuous rough road driving rocks go straight through them and can't be repaired (has happened to 3). These were great to start with but when the tread starts to wear from about half way they disappear, I did not thrash them and drive reasonably sedately, rotate check tyre pressure etc etc and can usually get 60-70000kms out of a set of tyres. Not good for a premium brand tyre do not recommend and will not buy this brand again..

Excellent traction off road

published

I had a set of 31x10.5R15's fitted for a trip to the Cape & down the CREB couldn't fault them.
Excellent traction rocks, water, mud & beach lowest I had to air down was 20psi to handle these. Seems to flex more being the 6 ply radial so handled the corrigations ok too.
They are a bit noisy but hey she sounds like a 4WD now!
Well priced only $240 each & as far as wear only have 6,000kms so seem to be ok so far. The only negative is it must be a little wider as hits mud guard when flexing extreme!
I'll get them again when these wear out.

Rubbish

I put a set of 33x12.5x15 on my courier and they lasted 25,000k with 5,000k rotations. They were really quiet and grippy when I first got them but in the last 5,000 they have become really noisy and all the tread has just disappeared. Definately won’t be buying another set

Great tyres and Quite vs my MTZ.

published

As a Mickey Thompson Fan of there reliable tyres. I Purchased a New Hilux Trd 2017 and did not like the stock tyres and I did not trust them off road. I had them fitted to my Lux and did not know what to think as my last tyres where MTZ on my Patrol. I was very happy of the off road feel and ride ( Very quite tyres for Mickey ). I would recommend these tyres.

Awesome,,,, Mickey Thompson Deegan 38.

published

We have had many sets of Mickey Thompson tyres on all our 4x4s over the years,, would now say the Deegan 38 tyres are the best yet, great on road and off road, we can not fault the tyres,, you can air right down on sand and in mud knowing they will not let you down and then air them up when you hit the black top again and they will handle and respond to any problem you might have on the road, like a great tyre should,, we have now done over 10 thousand klms on these tyres, still like new and my wife loves the way our 4x4 handles and she feels safe knowing we have an awesome set of tyres fitted

Excellent New Tyre by MICKEY Thompson

published

Purchased 5 of these MICKEY Thompson DEEGAN 38 Mud Tyres from St George Tyres, had them on the car for a couple of months and really astonished at the quality, well it is Mickey Thompson so knew I was getting the best but these out performed my BFG set in every condition, the side is a new pattern and ply rating that handles well and specially designed by Brian DEEGAN (I did a lot of research before buying) and he is a off road racing legend !
The tread done very well driving through cape and even down on the beach which my BFG couldn't live up too.
Over all great value, USA MADE and MICKEY Thompson you cannot go wrong any day!

Well to be frank there are other tyres out there that will outperform these with ease. The 38 th develop flat spot if left standing for any length of time. The deaganscist 440 each and aren't particularly either good on the wet or anything for that matter. They just couldn't get balanced properly ever. I got the khumos for my fj cruiser and straight away I felt the improvements In noise, traction on and off road. The best thing I did in my life is to get rid of them.
