Hi Wayne,
Thank you for your question.
The Micro Black is not actually an electric scooter, it is a scooter powered only by your kicks.
It uses large 200 mm wheels, has a nice low deck height and folds down nice and compact making it great for travel and storage.
If an electric scooter is what you are looking for we will soon be releasing an emicro condor.
To find out some more information about this model you are welcome to contact us directly via our website -
Kind Regards.

I wish to buy one for a man who is 6.4ft and heavy
Is there a weight limit on this scooter?
1 answer
Micro S.Micro Scooters
Hi Marg,
Thank you for your question.
The Micro Black as with all of our adult scooters has a weight limit of 100kg.
We do have some customers that ride our scooters and exceed this limit and report no issues.
If you have any other questions or queries then please don't hesitate to contact me directly at [email protected]
Kind Regards.

Good day! I have recently moved to Christchurch and I am considering getting a Micro Black/white for my wife and myself. My wife is 3.8km away from work and the traffic is bad in the mornings and so we like the idea of using a kick scooter to get to work, as well as ride around on the weekends.
However I can't seem to find any shops that stock the micro black or white and I can't seem to get the stockists selection to work on the website.
Can someone please tell me where I can go look at and try out the scooters?
Regards,
Noel

I am 30 and I have never ridden a scooter before. I now work 2.5km away from home, and would like to seek alternative ways to travel to work (parking is expensive at work). Most of the route is paved, parts of it are park trials. I just want to know what is the difference between the black (or white) and the flex? Which one is better for a beginner like me?
1 answer
I have only used the scooter on paved surfaces and it is fine but the small wheels mean it is not suitable for dirt park trails. Don't know the difference - but 2.5 km and the ease of folding up could mean the scooter might fit to your purpose well.

I am considering purchasing the Black model, I am an adult at over 100kgs and mainly want it for exercising my dog who loves to pull me along on a pushbike. Is this the right model for me?
1 answer
Micro S.Micro Scooters
Hi Damo,
The 100kgs isn't a strict weight limit but what the scooter has been tested for. Since the Black has an aluminium deck it will be more tougher than our Flexible deck models, and should hold a bit more weight.
Hope this helps - get in contact with us if you have any more questions.

I have a 7 year old son who I am trying to work out which scooter would be best for. He has had scooters for a few years now and seems to keep making flat spots on the back wheel from "burn outs". Looking at one that will last him in to his teen years/ could be borrowed by his 11 year old brother, and is not too hard to brake with, Some of the reviews on here mention braking as a fault on some of the models… Suggestions???
1 answer
My 6.5 yr old is just a tad too small for it, tho he does go on it now and again. The breaking is fine so long as the brake is not worn out. It will still give flat spots on the tyres because it has an abrasion brake like most other scooters.

what is the rough speed difference between the Micro Black and the Micro Flex air? Can the Flex Airs tyres be replaced with the PU wheels at a later date?
1 answer
Micro S.Micro Scooters
The speed difference is hard to put into numbers as it depends a lot on how hard and how often you kick but the Black is noticeably faster. As you said, you can replace the Flex Air tyres with PU wheels at any time.

Out of the Micro Black, Micro Speed+ and the Adrenalin Street Runner, which is best? I cannot decide
1 answer
Micro S.Micro Scooters
It depends on your priorities. For an adult, The micro black has a smoother ride and a higher handlebar height but the Speed+ is lighter and more compact which makes it better for storing and taking on public transport.
