Outstanding vehicle and outstanding value

published

This is the best 4WD I’ve owned. Previous 4WD was a Y61, the Y62 is better in every way. The ride quality is extremely comfortable and it handles like a car. The vehicle is large but has ample room for 5 adults plus the 3rd would comfortably fit 3 kids.

The motor is outstanding, loads of power and fuel consumption combined of 14.5l/100 which is the same as my Y61. 10l/100 on the freeway at 110km/h.

Being $30,000 cheaper than the problem plagued 200 series Landcruiser is just the icing on the cake.

How much you can save from a Sahara $35k more paid

published

I have looking at this car for 3 years before I decided to keep one home. Performance is excellent when I find 200 is just far behind me when I slightly touch the accelerator.
Interior ...it is a joke 200 carries a few pieces of wood.
Running cost is a trick...
$35k cheaper than Sahara... How many km of petrol cost difference?
Stupid answer is 1,000,000 km. I think we dump the Patrol Y62 and the Sahara long time ago when we drove 500,000 km

Simply the best.

Good bye 200 hello to a whole new world of awesome.
So much better than the old 200 in every way.
Just drive one. Then decide.
It outperforms the very dated 200 design in every way.
The fuel consumption isn't what you're led to believe and it most instances so far is better than the 200 on fuel.

Best 4wd Nissan ever made, best 4wd on the market

published

Perfect 4wd. Sooooo much better than having to worry about dusted engines, blown turbos, failing fuel systems etc the list goes on. Don't know why people keep buying the landcruiser 200 they're just overpriced POS. Y62 suspension=better, fuel consumption=same, interior dimensions=better, engine=better everything is just better in the y62. Oh and it's about 20k cheaper. Handling is absolutely the best, reliability is the best, air con is made for the Middle East so very fast to cool down. Only downside is having every 200 owner try to justify their 200 purchase and why they didn't get the y62

Best 4WD

published

I love everything about this car, average 14.7L per 100km with a mix of city and country, powerful and the most comfortable ride, knew I would buy it after 10 seconds inside.
Value for money, couldn't get any better, those who complain about no diesel, take one for a drive!!

Best 4x4 ive had in 20 years.

Y62 easily outperforms the toyotas. Tows better, drives better, and has a lot more for the similar model cruiser. (and 25k cheaper). Reading some of these reviews ill bet most have no idea they are talking about the y62. some1 even mentioned it has 17" rims hahaha.. if you want to know about a vehicle talk to its owners. not silly places like this. There are a couple of awsome FB pages that give u all real world experiences.
Is it perfect? no.. but for the money there is nothing close.

Great car until you reach 100 000klms

published

I purchased my Y62 in August 2014 with 33 000klms on it, the vehicle has 97 000klms on the clock now and the Alternator has disintegrated! with a replacement value of over $2500. I approached Nissan for a goodwill gesture getting a very poor response.
A car of this level should last a lot longer and customer service should be fantastic.

Really it worth a look

published

It's smooth and powerful tows great fuel consumption is very acceptable for a car of its size and weight not a car for bush bashing but a highly capable tourer comfortable well built

Highly recommend. That if you are after a large 4wd for touring/towing it worth the time to look at one
