My Omron 7121 reads typically about 13 mm less than the reading taken at my Doctors (using a flash manually pumped device). What can be done about this?

Ours stopped working after a month - the display started showing nonsense characters.
I suggest you take it back and claim a refund - an Aust warranty is 12 months by law.
Look for another brand.

Sounds like a internal problem. If your Omron is still in warranty take it back to your place of purchase. If not you may have to purchase a new one

Have you read the instruction manual? Yes you will get different readings. You should not turn the machine off and then on and do another reading, The cuff needs to be taken off then the machine turned off. Reattach and do another reading, The longer you sit before taking a reading the lower the reading will be, just like the doctor does when you fo to the surgery.

Need right tightness, arm location and steady sitting position. If still dysfunctional, call into a chemist who will guide you on all those steps.
