I have the Cayenne S Diesel and it is an epiphany of motoring pleasure. The size is generous, the luxury and comfort outstanding, the handling and performance as you'd expect from Porsche engineered in the form of an economical (all things relative) SUV.

The best car I have ever purchased

published

The experience you get while driving a cayenne is unmatched by any car, just having the porsche logo on your steering wheel makes you feel pride with your purchase. The cayenne requires bare minimum maintenance and is built to last. It has the best features such as PCM (porsche communication management), clearest reverse camera, Led lights all over the car, tiptronic gear change, Aux Bluetooth, Touch screen management and many more!

Best car ever

My Turbo is so nice to drive compared to 911SC i had for 9 yrs. Cayenne Turbo has smooth power delivery just hold on tight. Everything just works & beautifully finished, love love love it.
Only one problem is 21in wheels & low profile tyres don't like gutters ( ouch ) expensive tyres.
I drove the GTS before the Turbo - BUY a Turbo worlds apart a true Porsche performance.
Press Sport switch and melt into your seat with the purrfect exhaust note & enhanced tuning & lowered suspension.

Extremely amazing car

published

The driving experience for this porsche is amazing it has incredible acceleration, not very noisy and very easy to handle while driving especially the reverse camera is very useful the best part about the interior is you get a small map on the dashboard and then all the cabin controls i.e, A.C, music, bluetooth etc. are very easy to use. It isn't very expensive to run and does not require very much maintenance

Great car

published

Great car considering the price tag. The handling is great and drives well in urban areas. The seats are very comfortable, and is very spacious as the back. There has been no major issues with the car for the past 5+ years whenever it has been brought to the porsche dealership for service.

Hi all,
I’m seriously considering purchasing an 07-08 Porsche Cayenne, but have no experience with a vehicle of this age. Could anyone advise me of any pitfalls of buying a car if this caliber and age please?

Hi i have a 2008 Turbo with 70,000kms and is a dream to drive. I had a 911sc for 9 yrs & its harder to get & out of a lower car that's why i bought the Cayenne. What ever you buy get a pre-purchase inspection report from a Porsche specialist. look for lower kms with service history.
If you want a diesel buy a VW Tourag, i wanted pure porsche so the 4.8l engine the one to go for with the GTS and S models are great but for a bit extra the Turbo with just leave you with a smile on your face thats hard to wipe off. Try to avoid the earlier 4.5lt models with cooling issues. Good luck.

Hi Mork, I’ll take all that onboard. Wasn’t really after a diesel either
Got my eye on 2007 S 9PA within my price range. 127,000 kms. Don’t suppose you have any advise on these models??
Thanks Mork, much appreciated.

Plastic coolant pipes 03-06 V8. In Australia, under 100k (miles) I’ve experienced catastrophic failure. I’ve sourced and purchased a replacement engine (complete). Is there any dealer goodwill or actual claim process for this. Any information greatly appreciated

Hi Nick do you have the 4.5L or the 4.8L the 4.5 did have some issues but like all cars without knowing the history we are at the mercy of it's past ( servicing etc ).
What State are you in ( location not mind ) & i will ask my guy here in Adelaide if he knows someone close to you who could help with the work. Cheers and sorry you are having this problem.
