Great Product Helps My Dog's Gastro Problems
WetThe Royal Canin Gastrointestinal (wet) canned food was recommended by my vet as my dog was having alot of issues with diarhoea etc. I must say, it eradicate the problems and I have never seen my dog eat so fast before, he loves it.
I am now giving it to him on a daily basis as I have tried other alternatives afterwards and he was back to having diarhoea again. Wish it was cheaper.

Gastro Intestinal Low Fat LF 22My dog was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis and this food has been a life saver for him. He polishes off his bowl everyday literally and I take comfort in knowing that he is eating food that is good for him. No more upset tummy or bloody stools and visits to the vet. He seems so much happier and healthier and that is good enough for me. With pancreatitis it is important to eat right and this kibble ticks all the right boxes.
Changed our dog's life for the better
Gastro Intestinal Low Fat LF 22Our 9 year old dog had a bout of pancreatitis, very nasty, I never want to see her in that much pain again. Our vet advised a low fat diet & suggested this product, without hard selling, because of the price of course. Pretty shocked at the cost and if you had the time you'd probably be better off with home made low fat meals, but if you buy it in bulk & pick your supplier you get used to the idea.
She didn't like the taste at first, but too bad, it's for your own good baby, & now she's used to it she begs for it like any other food. She st

Expensive lesson learnt
Gastro Intestinal Low Fat LF 22Our vet ordered this without even asking if we could pay for it, stating the tuna and rice/vitamin diet our dog was on was too expensive while she was sick. It was only costing me $10 a week, and she loved it!
At $148 for a month's bag, I almost died on the spot...and the kicker,,,our dog would not eat it!
We are having to add a couple of tablespoons of mashed up tuna into the pellets, or she won't eat this at all. (which just adds more to the cost!) Even doing this, there is a lot of wastage.
So much for the "She'll love it, guaranteed" qu
Questions & Answers
This is a question more for the manufacturer perhaps. I have two dogs - one a 3.6 kg Toy Poodle with gastro problems and is, and will continue to be fed the Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal Low Fat biscuits. She enjoys them and is generally problem free apart from the occasional throw up. I also have a 6 kg Maltese Cross (with the appetite of a Labrador) and have received an excess of the Low Fat (LF22) dry food bags from a friend who has just lost their dog.
My question is - can I change the normal fat dry food diet of my Maltese to the R.C Gastro Low Fat Dry product without causing him any dietry problems?
