Brighter than a rocket scientist from NASA
Bright! I patrol the boundaries at night on a farm making sure Mr and Mrs sly fox are not dining on our livestock. This requires being able to scan large paddocks from a single point. This thing makes it easy! The beam goes for hundreds of metres and does not seem to dissipate. It lights up a nice area too. In terms of battery use, it goes through half a 1.5Ah battery in around 30min. The unit heats up considerably and the beam should not be left on for too long. It has the ability to lock the trigger so the beam stays on. I did this for too lo...Read more
ng and cooked the reflective concaved dome around the bulb. It's only plastic and it went hazy and bubbled. I got a new one and don't leave it on so long. So far so good. Don't point the flammin thing at the ground when you're looking at the ground or you'll have one of those purple spots in your sight for the next few minutes! This is really bright and useful for when you need considerably more light than a normal torch will give youSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Consatrated light at 200 metres .
Real good spotlight, in comparision to other that have built in batterys have died [ some batterys replaced ] .Others take along time to charge and get there lights going again. The Ryobi 18v Xenon quicke change over is by far beter system . Though a small 5 wat in built bulb would be very handy instead of using the dazering main 18 v Xenon to read close up eg. map. Hand grip balnces well with either 18V batterys. Spotlignht better than other hand held units consotrates light at 200 metres . Quicker recovery time { just swaped batterys}. .

Incredibly bright and versitile light
You've gotta love the Ryobi ONE+ 18 Volt series of tools. Even if they're not always the best quality, their value is pretty compelling. This particular bit of Ryobi kit seems to be well built and if you already own a Ryobi 18 Volt battery and charger, the new HID Xenon spotlight is a bargain. That said, even if you had to buy the battery/charger too, it would be decent value. The light output is phenomenal. Rated as 2800 Lumens, it puts out more than twice as much light as a 100W light bulb (standard or compact fluorescent). The light is...Read more
also very white, like full daylight. The beam pattern is impressive for fully illuminating distant objects, but it's also surprisingly good for close up (macro) photography. Great beam, very white light, uses ONE+ batteries Nothing, if you already have the batteries and charger then this is a bargain.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

How long the battery life for continues use of this spot light with 18v battery?
1 answer
1.5Ah lithium battery lasts around 50-70mins. 4.0Ah lasts double. Having said that there is no such thing as 'continual use' for this spotty. If it is left on too long it heats up so much it fries the reflective cone that projects the light beam. I did this accidentally while trying to run down a 4.0Ah battery. It has a 'lock-on' button which I clicked in and left it to drain. It cooked it! I wouldn't call this normal use, I'd call it a lesson.
