I have the SLTC EM G 900 and after refitting the ss filter the lights on the control panel are all flashing bright then dull and will turn on, can some help with this please.
Also has external motor.

Hi Shane,
The lights flash to let you know it is time to clean the filter. A cycle in the dishwasher will clean all the grease and oil out of it, and then the filter can be refitted when dry.
If the problem is not the filter, it is difficult to determine what it might be. It would be best to give Arisit Technical Support a call on 1300 762 219 to see if the can figure out a solution.

Your problem is not the same as we had. The service we ended up getting from the manufacturer was excellent. They were great.

We own one but of late the light comes on by its self.

have not had that issue with ours. We did have a problem with ours but it turned out to be vermin / rats that had eaten a lead. Sirius were great in helping, considering there was actually no problem with the unit

It is difficult to determine the issue without seeing the rangehood. It might be best to give Arisit Technical Support a call on 1300 762 219 to see if they think a part needs to be fixed or replaced.

I have recently had this unit with the roof mounted motor installed into a new house - but it seems to make a lot more noise than I anticipated.
My sense is that it is AIR FLOW noise around the baffles - they don't move freely and the "rush" of the air is what is making the noise.
Please confirm the baffles are supposed to move freely and only fall back into the sealed position when the motor is switched off.

Hi Looking to buy the SLTCEM 92G900 model. I have an existing Westinghouse model wall mount rangehood. The existing one is mounted on a glass splashback. I would like to know if I can remove the old one and install the Sirius without the need to drill holes on the glass splashback. Can you let me know?

I have a 90cm black fascia range hood. It was installed o day and I noticed that The baffle filter is only around 65 cm. this means only the centre section of my cook top is cobpvered. Is this normal?

What is the extra connection for? It has a photo of 3 steps to remove a blank connection plug and add a single black wire but there is no black wire connection or cable?

We have installed Sirius STLC EM92 G 900 through our builder. We choose this model as recommended by Harvey Norman for its 95% reduction in noise level and excellent suction. Unfortunately, after getting my builder to fix the suction problem, the noise level is still not low. We expected rather quite performance, and the low noise level was one of the reasons we chose this model. The noise from both the motor and the exhaust are heard particularly when it is set from 3 up. Is this normal?

Dear Miriam,
our rangehoods are silent however as the units are pulling air you will have some noise, a few quetsions which may be assisting to further noise is - whwre is the motor situated? if it is less than 2 meteres form the unit or backed onto the unit then you will have a louder unit. Can you clarify what it means qhen you say the exhaust? Do you mean where the air comes out? It would be best to call us to discuss this further, as it would be quicker for you. How far does the motor need to be located from the rangehood? we are thinking of installing a Sirius SLTCEM 92 G 900. Our current rangehood is ducted to the outside wall as we have another storey above.
