this is the second time in the past 6 months the probe model TC0720A tYpe 910 10 a 200c 230- 240V stopped working. I'm happy with the Sunbeam kettle KIng but its expensive and annoying having to keep buying probes Thanks
My first thermostat probe did not last long at all. My second has lasted well and, like you, love the barbecue itself.
I store the Probe inside after every barby...and I use the machine A LOT.
I also store the probe in a cupboard after each use. Disappointingly it hasn’t lasted very long like the last one. But I have been using it practically every night for the past 2 months.
How do I get the control unit into the hotplate
The Sunbeam kettle king bbq which we purchased in May 2020 and have used 5 times has stopped working . There seems to be a fault with the plug in cord as we have tried a neighbors plug and it will work. The model number is TC0720A type 910 10A 200’C

Hi there we just purchased this from Harvey Norman and are trying to use for the first time. The light on the probe is showing power is coming through as it turns orange on minimum but will not heat past that. It has been on for 40 minutes now and no change. Faulty?
Yes we returned ours the first time we tried to use it. It needs to be fixed. I would not buy one again

I have just purchased the king kettle and presently have a roast in it, but it will not heat past the hot dial have had it on now for 1 hour 20mins, going to have to pull the roast out and cook in the oven. Any ideas ??

Do l leave the vent on kettle lid open or shut while roasting

Thank you for contacting Sunbeam. For slow roasting it is best to have the air vent open. For oven/usual roasting it is best to have it closed. This will ensure the heat is well concealed and the moisture is contained.
Where can I get a probe shield?
I am gathering that your probe has stopped working? If so, I have found the Kmart brand stone electric frypan also works in the kettle king.
What temperature should l cook pork crackle skin and how long to cook for?
Not sure about just the skin. Page 19 of the manual/recipe book says to cook a 1.6kg pork on max for one hour, then turn and cook for another 30 minutes. Hope that helps.
Margot, I've afraid I've not had any great success with pork crackling. Best idea might to peel off the skin and cook it separately at the highest possible temperature.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement plate for my Sunbeam Kettle King model a80807? Handle is broken and non stick coating is no longer non stick.
Sorry I can't help but have you tried Sunbeam? I'd expect that would be the best place. Will be interested to hear where you find one because I guess at sometime a few of us might need a new plate....
