Amazing
I’ve been bbq for 55 years. I bbq 4-5 times a week. Gas bottles were getting too heavy for me. Bought this and hoped it would be OK. It’s amazing.
Purchased in April 2021 at Appliances Online for $579.00.

Excellent performance. Great design
Simple to use and great taste!! Easy to clean. I don't have to buy extra trolley as my outdoor table is big and strong enough. I bought hotplate, scrapper, grill basket and pan and brush. all together about $1,000.
Purchased in November 2021 at The Good Guys.

Great for an apartment
We went in to buy a new Weber Q, we loved our first one. We left thinking the Pulse could be a good option. So far its been excellent. It gets HOT, cooks like a BBQ should, easy to clean and no need for GAS.
Purchased in September 2021 for $1,200.00.

Good little BBQ
This is a good little BBQ, especially where space is tight. I have the electric version & it is compact & easy to operate. The Bluetooth feature is quite fun to impress people with. It looks good in the space & its sleek black design is appealing. I was enthused & tried to buy some accessories for it like a hotplate for cooking mushrooms, eggs, etc. I had some difficulty getting answers from the Weber online team which was frustrating. It would be good if Weber could update their website to include all compatible accessories for this range. Ano...Read more
ther downside is that it is not easy to keep clean. I use all the recommended products for cleaning, but even after waiting hours for the foam cleaner to soak in, spending ages scrubbing, it still isn't as clean as I would like it. It is also awkward to clean the aluminium under the griller plates without disassembling the heating element. Other than this, it is a good investment & it is a good addition to the outdoor living space.Purchased in October 2021 for $599.00.

LPG cancer worries no more.
We have been concerned about petroleum based gas through our food for some time.
No matter what anyone says there must be an element of danger having hydrocarbons through food.
This machine is also zero carbon footprint for us as we are completely off grid with solar panels.
Here in Southern Tasmania they charge 30 dollars for an 8kg LPG swap over gas bottle, so not cheap.
No more gas bottles for us, the unit uses 2kw on full temp for both burners.
We bought the optional hot plate with detachable handle, nothing without a detachable handle can fit if you want to shut the cover.

Surprisingly good
Early days, but I've cooked dinner on it twice now and it works very well. Even got a few flare-ups, just like a gas barbie. It gets up to temperature very quick and looks attractive. The temperature read-out is very effective. The best part - no gas bottle.
The food definitely tastes barbecued. Not as barbecued as charcoal, but the same as gas. The cart is pretty good too. Only negative was the price. The 2000 model, plus cart, plus all-weather cover cost $1000, but looks great on our patio. I imagine that if anything stops working, it wil...Read more
l be the control panel or elements, which appear easily replaceable, though I don't think they'll ever sell those parts individually, so you'd be relying on Weber or The Good Guys to do the right thing and replace them with minimal fuss.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good but takes some getting use to
Cooks based on internal probe temperature rather than time, like I'm use to. Which is actually pretty good, I wanted my New York steak medium rare and it worked great. Have to preheat BBQ to max temp them slap on your meat and away you go. The app has all sorts of preset for different meats which is great for people that dont want to burn their expensive new cuts of meat.
Pretty easy to clean, ceramic grill plate is great. Unit itself is easy to move around.
Meat does not taste as good as cooked over coals. Despite what the advertising ma...Read more
terial says, its still an electric grill. Also its bluetooth rather than WIFI so if you're cooking using your phone app need to leave it around the area. Also unit is expensive compared to other electric BBQs.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Carmelasked
Hi, we are considering buying the weber pulse 2000, but is oil dripping on the elements an issue? Especially over time- I understand to clean it you burn it off, but it just seems strange that the design would be like this.

No issues at all.
We cook everything on ours and never had an issue.
We take it apart to clean every 6 months to give it a full clean.
Other than that just the usual BBQ cleans as we use.
Thank you so much for your prompt response, much appreciated!

Hi Carmel, great question, but something you don't need to worry about! The way that the Pulse cook box is designed is so that most of the fats and juices miss the elements, but any that do fall on the element will sizzle and burn off.
If there is any remaining that may be more stubborn, then the element can be removed and cleaned.

Is the temp probe accurate? My probe registers cooked but it doesn’t seem to be the case. This is disappointing as this feature was a big selling point

Hi Geoff, my probes work really well. I follow the instructions on the app, and my steak and lamb comes out correctly. So I can’t be of much help.
Mine work fine too.
Maybe contact weber as they have great support.

Not very often we use our oven.

Hi Michael, the Pulse can do grilling, baking AND roasting, so it's the perfect addition to your cooking arsenal. It has to be used outside, just so you're aware, as would any barbecue. Any of our roasting recipes can be done on the Pulse and this recipe for Harissa Chicken is delicious when cooked on the Pulse barbecues https://www.weber.com/AU/en/recipes/poultry/harissa-chicken/weber-428825.html
