My daughter loves hers.
Lightweight, packs compactly. Metho is a cheap, readily available fuel. Boils water quickly, kettle and pans excellent. Awesome. Highly recommended. All the pans and kettle you need in one package.

Packs up small, lightweight. Will last a lifetime.
I bought this set to take on motorcycle trip across Asia and Europe.
We used it a lot, mostly to make 'one pot' pasta dishes or boil water for tea /coffee or freeze dried meals.
Unfortunately, Metho for some reason was hard to come by in Russia.
I went to supermarkets and service stations, but never found any. Quite possibly, (probably) I was simply looking in all the wrong places, but we never managed to find it.
In any case, the pots and pan work equally as good with a small gas hiking stove, which we had on hand as a backup, so all good in that respect. (Gasmate Backpacker Stove - $25)
I've also used the stove a lot at home a lot with metho, and its easy to use and fill. ...Read more
The only negative I can see with the metho stove is that it blackens the bottom of the pots quite badly and its a bit of a pain to clean off, that and the general smelliness is not really appealing. but this is a small quibble. I can recommend keeping a scrubber/sponge combo in a ziplock bag inside your Trangia 'kit' (there is loads of room inside to store extra cooking stuff, life a lighter/matches mess kit, etc) The pots, wind break and stove nest well, and the strap holds them securely. Its easy to packup and down, and they are extremely durable. A relative has a set that is over 30 years old and still going strong with no problems ever. Not surprising as these things have been around since 1925, and have been the choice for serious hikers and outdoor enthusiasts ever since. Buying a set is an investment you will have for probably the rest of your life.

Take it every where
have had stove for 5 years now showing signs of use but still in great condition have taken it on motor bike trips from queensland to Vic on dirt roads and still starts and looks great. will not cook large steaks but will cook everything else usually take to work and cook the sizzle steak works great. have taken it on car trips and is so easy to setup ( just needs to be on level surface) can not recomend this item enough we are taking it to NZ next week to see how it goes in the cold. have only had one drama when i lit it on a slope the metho spilt and melted a bit of the stand reshaped it and still works just looks a bit funny
Small, Light, easy to start, everything packs up with ease (not like folding a map)

I'm a hexamine stove lover but we needed something a bit safer to use in dry camping conditions,( as these are easier to extinguish). They come with a snuffer. My bro had an old Primus bottle and stan... Read more
d for motorcycle touring years ago but that brand is hard to find nowadays. I have it as a memento, as it's 40 years or more old now. It is a long skinny gas bottle and a two legged stove/stand. The bottle was the third leg. That was damn good too. But heavier.
