    Fumes

    published

Poison fumes coming off brand new zip 3.5l slow cooker so lucky it didn't trigger an asthma attack I'm so disgusted that the company can sell a product that is so dangerous. I have got a stinking headache feeling shakey the lining of that slow cooker was so cheap and nasty and that's where the fumes were coming from?

    Capable, basic Slow Cooker

    published

I had a reliable 3.5L Zip crockpot for several years until it started heating unevenly. I decided to upgrade and went online but was alarmed that most now have non stick coatings in them, which I definitely did not want, so I decided to stick with Zip because it has a ceramic inner. I bought the same model as my previous one, just larger - 6.5L oval. It has a dial with three settings: Warm, Low, High, and a sturdy ceramic inner. I may have to brown meat separately, but that's really not a big deal. It is a basic but very competent slow cooker.

I usually have mine switched on while I am prepping the ingredients so that it is up to temperature by the time they go into the pot.
