We bought a Range Rover Evoque from Chris in Brighton and his service was great and I would highly recommend. Best car I have driven and very economical and classy. We also got a great deal from Chris. It is also a great family SUV as there is enough room for the kids at the back.

Fell in love the day i brought it still head over heals.
I absolutely adore my RR Evoque. As long as they stay in production I would be happy to buy only this car for the rest of my life!
Awesome sat nav system that remembers where i've been. If I go to a friends house I've never been to before then it is decided its my turn to pick up the local take away my RR will show me where I've been parked an guide me back to the house from the takeaway shop. I can't tell you how many times this has saved me an annoying amount of time.
Centre dash display of nav directions is perfect for any road trip and subtle enough for my passengers to think I know where I am going.
Perfect size, classy exterior and user friendly interior.

Have a 2013 SD4, mix of urban and country driving. Fuel use averages around 8.2lt/100km urban and around 6.8lt/100km on a recent drive to Adelaide. No issues at all over the 2.5 years. Love the handling and the looks. Comfortable to be in, even over long drives of 11 hours. Kids find the rear seats quite relaxing, even over long drives.

I bought a 2014 new range rover Evoque. By mid year I found myself hopping through the major intersection of Warrigal road near the freeway at Chadstone. I have had several attempts at fixing the problem and cannot seem to find the problem . Just before Christmas the car had trouble starting and hopped though an intersection for a good kilometre. It has had a new transmission. But the problem still exist. I got caught in a boom gate with the car not starting and recently the car hopped through a major roundabout. I do not feel safe. Now service department has replaced a valve as instructed by the consumer care at range rover.

Good SUV, limited boot space, Meridian 380w system needs equalisers /presets
I recently purchased the Range Rover Evoque with turbo diesel engine and 9 speed auto transmission. With most of the bells & whistles offered, here in Melbourne. Beautiful car to drive, great feel and very comfortable. I'm 6 feet tall and have no issues with legroom and headroom. The rear seating too is fine, enough area behind my driver's seat and I can sit behind comfortably, no issues, however 3 large 6 foot adults will find themselves cramped in width, in the rear seats. The panoramic roof adds to the ambience feel, but doesn't open, bah!! ...
Read more Another cost cutting I found was the head lights. The projector Xenons for low beam act as high beam by lifting up the shutters. There is no separate reflector or projector lamps for high beams. This I find not up to scratch as against the previous cars and land rovers I have owned. There should be a total of 4 bulbs in headlights as against 2. Night driving in areas where high beam headlights are required the lighting is somewhat inadequate. Those complaining about visibility; well, while reversing you have to use the rear view camera including the front and back sensors, apart from that, no issues. I'm quite comfortable with outside visibility. The audio system is far too much hyped with raving reviews online, possibly for the top end, the one I have is not that great. I purchased the one with Meridian 380watts, 11 speakers. This system no matter what you read online, unless you go for the highest end with navigation, you don't get much.

ADDENDUM (05 Dec 2015) Recently had a "Q500" software upgrade for the transmission, this has made the SUV gears soother and faster and no lag (I had previously noticed) changing from Reverse to Forwar...
Read mored Drive mode. The lag has now disappeared and the car pickup seems improved too. The infotainment system still has no software, presets or playlist mode upgrades. No SUPPORT for FLAC, ALAC, WAV(L), WMA(L), DST, MPEG-4 ALS etc files (read as loss-less digital audio, highest quality music) playback. Read morerranty. The great thing I noticed after 3rd servicing was the engine has become more responsive or "peppier". I was unsure initially so I waited to test it out for a month or so. Now I am 100% sure it was just not my feeling.- 14 reviews

Fantastic off roader for what it is. Terrain response system kills many terrains easily, minor rock climbs, over sand or other slippery bits, only limitation off road is clearance, the lack of crawl mode and a rear locking diff. Great in town too, easy to drive, but boot space isn't as big as even a Golf 5 it replaced. ZF 9HP gear box is a little slow, but very good on fuel - they should have shortened 1st gear more so it is more of an off-road drive. On the open road, gearbox needs some tuning, when setting cruise control, if the road starts t...
Read moreo increase in gradient, it labours and roughs a bit hesitant in switching down a gear, however nothing the manual gear change down override won't fix. Really could do well with a full size spare if you hit the trails, overall, very happy experience with many adventures still to come. Off road ability, sand, rocks, dirt and car like handling on road. Hard to find AT tyres to fit stock rims, more clearance helps. No full size spare. ZF9HP needs tuning.- BadgeSD4

Apart from the sleek exterior and interior being modern our brand new 2014 Evoque has been disppointing. The 2 front doors do not close properly. When driving air whistles through the rubber seals... Only had car for 4months so it shouldn't make that noise. For a top end car feelling frustrated that we might have bought a dud. Waiting to get problem rectified but not good enough.

I bought the SD4 Dynamic, optioned, as a cancelled order in January 2012. One problem with the rear seatbelt jamming, but repaired under warranty once I had contacted the right person at the dealership. They did give me three years free annual warranty servicing but inundate me with emails to have it serviced every six months but want to charge me for that, I do lowish kilometres so no way. Previous two cars over six years were a Golf GTi Pirelli three door and before that a Golf GTi, so you can see where I was coming from. Performance, fro...
Read morem a diesel, is up there, fuel consumption is not as advertised but close enough and the stated figures do save you the luxury tax, or so I was told. Boot space is about the same as a hatch, but width and height with parcel shelf removed and back seats down is a lot better for moving bulk. Drivers position great, the memory seat settings are indispensable but would be good on the steering wheel as well, does this technology exist though? I can't get over the number of ways to play music, iPod, memory stick, hard drive.... Shame the traffic news update doesn't work in Australia and no DAB radio on my model year, why can't it be part of a software update? Sat nav has that annoying factory fitted omission of no speed zones published, RMS is poor at repeating the speed limit signs on many of our roads. Five surround cameras are useful for getting into a small garage space, auto parking is a scream, I chuckle every time I use it, it puts it in spaces that I would otherwise have driven away from. I have the dual view screen, never used it, but it was part of the cancelled order, the glass panoramic roof is gimmicky, too bright in Australia to use it in the summer months and it doesn't open. Apart from this, the rest of the options have been well used. Overall opinion after almost two years, happy with the car but paid a premium for it. Was it worth it? Yes, I will keep it longer than three years, say six years to break even on ownership costs and will smile every time I get into it. The overall feel good every time I get into it No DAB radio, no traffic speed indicators on expensive sat-nav Update after +7 years of ownership. At the end of the warranty period, I asked the dealer to do a complete fault check on the last service inside the warranty period. Two faults were discovered, including one I had previously asked them to fix. This was done, although the car was kept for an extra day waiting for parts. No complimentary car offered, had to train it home and back. All good in the end though. On 5 years the Evoque was driving well so as a treat I installed an Android box that intercepted and replaced the sat-nav. Since then I have been using Sygic as the sat-nav, using the same buttons to access the software. So good. Last year I replaced the tyres, but went budget as I don't do big kilometres, they are still good tyres though. On +7 years, I now have 80,000km on this car (I spend most time riding my bikes) and one fault needs sorting, no water coming through the rear windscreen washer. I will have this sorted in a service next month. Overall, for a lot of money, the Evoque is lasting the distance, the issues could have happened with any car. Will I change it now? I doubt it, it still drives well and I am guessing the part ex value would not be good.Purchased in for $103,000.

To update my review. The car is now just over 3 years old. I have travelled about 48,000 kilometres taken it on unsealed roads, moved house and put it through most road conditions I can think of.

We bought the Range Rover Evoque from new in Aug 2012 and loved the looks and drive. Six months down the track and reliability combined with Land Rover Australia customer care has left us wishing we had bought something else. The first breakdown resulted in roadside assistance. When the tow crew arrived they had not been educated in how to put car in neutral, 3 hours later they managed to tow car away. This breakdown was due to a software error. Three days later and the front lights failed to work this resulted in a close shave with the Police....
Read more Six days later and we have another full break down, luckily the same tow driver and the car is towed away in an hour. This second breakdown resulted in us contacting Land Rover customer care we were told 'car is with garage, what do you expect us to do'....no further updates. Ten days later we get the car back with a new fuel pump and a dent. Contacted Land Rover customer care and again to complain about dent 'what do you expect us to do'.Land Rover has no vehicle condition paperwork, not our problem. The repair garage agreed to cover cost of dent repair. Our total May car ownership resulted in a full 5 days, no loan car, loss of earnings and a lot of inconvenience. So in summary great looks do not always equal a great driving experience. I would never buy another Land Rover. Great looking car ReliabilitySame can be said here, had mine for just under 18 months, already having issues as if have had the car for a few years. Not happy, this is my first brand new car, beside the looks, wish I spent more time researching before spending $$$$.
After like most people drooling over the "prestige" cars, one the ordinary Joe can afford. The new Range Rover Evoque is very quick and agile. I just purchased a petrol Dynamic after owning the last 3 models of Toyota Prado and I just love it. Truthfully a little small for a family travelling, I have 2 teenagers, however quite adequate if you learn to pack light.

Read more its drivability. I can safely say it's good for light to medium off road. It is not a rock climber like Jeep Rubicon trail rated 4x4 but far better than Audi Q3, Q5, BMW X3, X5 in off road. This SUV can actually go more off the road than most other SUVs in the market today. Most are simple all wheel drives or cross overs, not so with Land Rover vehicles which are very well rounded off & on road vehicles. Where it lacks is infotainment software refinement, high beam headlights which I still feel Audi & BMW is far better.
