Started my Rottie girl Bella who is nearly 7 years old she has been on rimadyl 100mg since she was 8months old. Bella was on grand mobility which i found good and i am still in the process of switching, tritating the grand mobility down and increasing the 4cyte, i what i have noticed currently is that she is even more slower to get up and a lot more grumpy, barking at every little sound. I have the granules, does 4cyte also have the chandroitin sulfate like grand mobility? Also the directions on the packet are not that clear, Bella is 50kg and definitely needs to lose some weight, am i giving her the right amount on the loading dose 8 full scoops on the little white scoop or is it 8 granules before going to the maintenance dose? Probably a silly question but i want to much sure i get it right for my princess girl so she is not grumpy and irritable, she is usually a big softie.

I am about to start my elderly 8.3kg toy poodle on 4CYTE gel - and my vet has given me a sample to try before purchasing.... I understand he will only need 0.5 mg per day, and could you please advise how much the sample pack contains. Many thanks.
Hi Del,
For your elderly 8.3kg dog the dosage is 0.5ml per day, the sample pack is really an information sheet and a very small palatability test there is 2.5ml in the sample packs. The 4Cyte range i...
How many granules does a scoop hold. I have just received a 100g pack and assumed the scoop would come with it, but it didn’t, which I find to be a little silly really! My dog was on the liquid but the top of the bottle breaks with constant insertion of the syringe.
Hi Tracea13,
The scoop does come in the sachets with the granules, it is very small and may be in the bottom of the packet, if by chance there is no scoop which would be highly unusual then take it ba...

Hi, my dog has very bad arthritis. He lives with my mom in Latin America so getting 4cyte for dogs has been super expensive. It seems to be working well, but I think he is on a maintenance dosage instead of the one recommended (like I said, is super expensive). He is a 12 year old husky, around 25kg. Im wondering if it would be better to get the equine 700gm to him as is the same price of getting him 3x50gm (price wise). If so, what would be the dosage?

What are the ingredients for 4cyte gel for horses and dogs and how do they differ? Thank you
I have read both the positive and negative reviews. I have 5 (large) German Shepherds of varying ages and I intend to selectively administer the 4Cyte to a few of them to address some apparent joint "issues" associated with aging as well as skeletal development. I will watch them carefully for any adverse reactions. With large breed dogs (100+ lbs) I am careful with their level of activity for the first years, until their bones & joints are fully developed. Has your testing involved the administering of this product to dogs less than a year old?
Hi David,
Please feel free to reach out to us directly on 03 5330 0300 for all information pertaining to 4Cyte relating to your pack of beautiful German Shepherds. We look forward to talking with you Warm Regards Jane
My dog has been on the 4Cyte granules but it was recommended that as he is a large golden ret/lab we use the equine granules instead. I dont know how many of the equine granules I should give him though - he weighs 41kg. Can someone please advise?

Hi Jane, I have had a number of dogs on 4cyte for years. I found it helped them stay mobile as they aged and I never had any problems.
At the moment I have 3 elderly dogs on it (16yrs,13 yrs and 12yrs), all rescues.
However my other 4 dogs (all over 10yrs) would also benefit from it, but it is quite expensive for so many dogs over the years. My question is if I can give them the 4cyte equine. I realise it’s a different flavour but I put it in their food so it should not be an issue. Are they the same size pearls as the canine ones and the same strength. It would work out more economic for so many dogs.
Thank you for your help

Read more board) or some random people on the internet (although I fit both descriptions!) If you are worried make an appointment with your vet and discuss the issue. I’m pretty sure their answer will be what mine would be in that situation: this product is safe, and we have good evidence of that safety. The issue as I see it is this: people give 4Cyte to old dogs either approaching or already at the end of their natural life to improve quality of life and length of life. Sadly medical issues arise on all living things, and the fact there are cases where issues have arisen shortly after starting 4Cyte does not mean the 4Cyte caused the issues. In fact, there is no medical reason to think it would cause issues, and the only way to be sure is to gather adverse event data to answer the question: “Do medical issues arise more often or more severely in dogs that receive 4Cyte, compared to similar dogs that did not receive 4Cyte?” All the evidence is that the answer to that question is a resounding “NO” and the logical conclusion is 4Cyte is safe to use.Hi Des3175,

Hello, I have just purchased my first 4cyte for canine, for my 10 year old Labrador retriever who weighs 35 kgs. Two questions. First question am I correct that for the first 3 days I start off with 2 scoops per day? And second question, is it best to be given morning or evening? Thank you.

Read moreended weekly tablets for one month for my previous Red Heeler by an Ipswich vet, they were really good. Are you near Ipswich? One year later, a Yandina vet gave injections instead and in two weeks the injections killed my 14 y.o.girl. Please read the negative feedback here, they are the ONLY truth. Don't be misled by the glossy propaganda of 4CYTE. Do not rely on vets either. I would say that if you still want to try, give half dose once and wait for five days, if your dog gets some of the symptoms listed here, abandon the treatment immediately. Then give one dose and wait for a few days... if your dog does not get sick start doses every second day day and so on. It can be given with his meal morning or afternoon. If you are near Ipswich I can find out who that vet was. I would NOT try 4CYTE myself!!!! Added 25 Feb: I don't find anything wrong with my comment. It's genuine and helpful.Hi Helen,

Read moreBeing small dogs they are on 0.5 mls daily..but even then I feel like it’s a touch too much for them and I’m finding that I’m more comfortable skipping a day. Is this hindering efficacy? Probably? But it seems better than just throwing the baby out with the bath water. There aren’t any serious allergic reactions as such, but there are a few odd changes in their behaviour that make me think it’s causing some discomfort ie restlessness and a hacking cough in the early hours, scratching up the carpet/beds and a little bit of panting. All things I will discuss with my vet while I obviously continue to monitor them closely. That’s the reason why I asked about any known allergiesHi, my dog weighs 68 kgs. My dog has started 4cyte granules, for the loading dose its .4 x 6 scoops which = 2.4 grams for her weight of 30 kgs, but it seems too much when i place about 6 -7 granules in the groove of the scoop, i dont have a digital scale to measure out .4 g to confirm the scoop size, can you tell me or confirm the scoop size please ? Thanks !

Hello Jan,
How are both of your dogs in terms of mobility? Especially the older one....
Read more The dose is not correct a maintenance dose for a dog 29 - 31 kg - is 4 scoops a day. Because they have both been on 4Cyte for 6 months the active ingredient Epiitalis would already be bio available to the cells. That said the dose is not enough which I would imagine they are not receiving the full benefits of 4Cyte at the correct dose. Increase the dose to 4 scoops a day which is the correct maintenance dose. Send me your mobile number via my email [email protected] and I will give you a call in the morning. I would like to chat to you in terms of both of your doggo's given both diagnosis the Epiitalis Forte Gel might be much better for them, depending on their current mobility, ability to get up and down, play, walk, and interest in interacting with either each other and their loved humans. Annie, just search google on side effects. There are plenty. We had a very bad experience but glad to say our dog recovered within days of stopping this product.
