Great product but might not worth the money
This is the first baby formula we used for our newborn after mum trying to stop breast feeding. It is very easy to prepare and we did not notice any side effect in your baby, but she sometimes does not seem to like it. Maybe nothing to do with the baby formula just the baby still missing mum's breast milk.

Good but
I bought a2 after read reviews. I used it for top up when I didn't produce enough breast milk at beginning and the last feed before midnight so I can have a bit of rest.I was worried about baby may have constipation after taking formula as it happened to my first one, but my baby had no issues after the feed. I was happy with the formula, although it seems a bit watery, but I think it is more similar to breast milk. However my baby still wake up after 2 hours, it didn't serve the purpose so we end up given up this formula.

Wasn't good for my baby
This formula is very easy to prepare but is very thin/watery. In the begining my DS was eating well and appeared to love and enjoy the formula. I would say the consistency of the formula is close to that of breast milk. I found that my DS was not satisfied after each feed and would wake up every 2 or 2 and a half hours for a feed.
He also became constipated and started to vomit after almost every feed. We ended up changing his formula straight away after he started the vomiting.
It may be good and work for some but it is not for all.

Not for my baby
This milk's texture is just like breast milk. Easy to make and dissolves very easily. Light milk, looks yumm. Bought this after seeing review. I know any a2 type milk is good. Unfortunately it was not for my baby. My baby was constipated. It was hard to open his bowel. Every baby is different.

Not Good Value For Money
This was the first formula I used for my baby and I can't see how it was worth the $36 you pay for it. It was difficult to prepare as the water needed to be hot, 70 degrees, and tasted metallic. It made my Bub gassy and gave him lots of reflux which other formulas on the market didn't. I wouldn't buy it again.

Very happy - happy bub = happy mum!
I really liked this formula as i was worried my 2nd bub was getting windy and sore tummy with other formulas. It always seemed very consistent and dissolved well etc. never had any issues and although supply was sometimes an issue at our local Coles I never had a major problem. Happy customer!

No allergic reactions from my baby but not available.
This formula is one of the few that our baby enjoys. It didn’t cause any tummy issues and it is well tolerated. It has a good smell, easy to clean as well. The issue is that it is not always available in the market. Lots of parents are stacking this one.

Best formula
My baby had heaps of issues with other formulas including constipation and wind pain. I switched her to A2 Platinum 1 around a month ago and she improved overnight and has had no issues since. It is definitely worth paying the extra money for her to be happy and comfortable.

Great starter formula
Great starter formula for our newborn, it was easy to prepare and baby always settled and slept well. He did experience some discomfort from constipation and his skin appeared oily. This product is particularly expensive compared to other brands and was out of stock on more than one occasion which ultimately influenced our decision to change.

Great formula
I have found A2 to be a great formula for my two children. I did a lot of research before I had my first baby about the different formulas on the market and A2 by far seemed to be the best one out there. Very easy to prepare and both my children have had no issues with it. Would highly recommend, worth the extra cost for sure!

Not right for our baby
We decided to go with A2 because of all the good reviews and I drink a2 milk myself, we thought it would be gentle on our babies stomach. It is very easy to prepare and dissolves easy weather shaken or stirred however our baby is suffering from terrible gas and stomach pain and we think it's due to the A2 formula, the pain Co-insides when we gave our baby this formula.

The best!!!!
This stuff is amazing. My little one has very bad reflux and also a sensitive tummy. We tried many formulas and medications. This formula has really settled my baby and made a huge difference! The only down side is how expensive the product actually is and how hard it is to get at times

High quality product. Been very good
Have only used this brand for my 2nd kid. It is fairly easy to prepare and comes as close to breast milk as formulas can. It is a bit hard to get and also has a purchase limit enforced so couldn't stock up when it was on sale. A little pricier than other formulas but I am not going to compromise on my kids health over money.

Scoop level issue recommendations
My baby is now 5 months corrected was born early 8 months ago. However no issues . Loves a2 formula how ever finding hes a little constipated and i have been doing exactly what the tin said 1 level scoop 7.5g every 50mls however i have used 3 different measurements and its sure the scoop holds 10.0 not 7.5 so be careful..

Would recommend to my friends
I have used this formula with both my children from about 3 months to 6 months for 1-2feeds per day. Instructions for preparation are simple to follow and i have had no issues with reflux. Both babies took it up pretty easily. It is a bit on the pricey side.

Best formula out there
Easy to mix, not very gassy and both of my kids enjoyed it. The only issue we had with it is the availability as it gets snapped up very quickly. The other issue is the price, it one of the most expensive formulas out there. Highly recommend it (if you can find it and can afford it).

Great formula
Great formula, easy to prepare, no side effects my baby seem to enjoy, but limited for buyers, and ran out stocks
It would be better to have stocks and no limitations so we can introduce the product to our friends, not only that when we go to buy the formula that's mean we are running out, so I expect to have them on the display all the time.

Dangerous
This formula gave my baby consistent vomiting until yellow bile. She vomited for at least an hour straight and then couldn’t keep anything down. She was so sick she fell asleep and slept for 8 hours. I tried it 3 times and this was the result each time. I would not recommend this for New borns.

Good formula, but sometimes hard to find.
The formula has a great taste and is easy to prepare/dissolve. My baby took to the formula very easily at around 3 months when we started to mix-feed while still breast feeding. He seemed to like the taste of the formula and had no issues taking it. The only issue I had with using this formula was the constant shortage at my local woolworths as it seemed to be quite popular as it is one of the good formulas out there and seems to get bought by people in large quantities.

Good formula but high price
Yes, easy to prepare and baby loves it. I tried a little bit then found it’s good taste. Baby gets a little bit constipation after having this fomula. It’s high price and not that easy to get from supermarket. Totally it is a good choice if you can get enough stock for your little one.

My baby is 3 weeks of age and is a formula fed baby... once I left the hospital I was advised by the nurse to get s26 formula which I did but then my baby got constipated and got some wind too! ... I changed the formula to A2 platinum stage 1 but my baby is still constipated and pooing every 2 days or so which is better than the s26 where he didn’t go at all... I got advised by my nurse to get infacol and colic drops to help but I don’t feel it’s doing much ... any extra advise on what to do? change formula? Use a formula for constipation just until he gets better than go back to A2? First baby so very new to it all!!
Thanks in advance

Hi Sam, congratulations on your new bub!
I wouldn't be too concerned about the frequency of his poo as long as it is coming out reasonably soft. I would consider trying another formula if he was experiencing any pain when trying to go, and it was only coming out in hard little pellets. You could try a gentle massage with lotion on his belly after a bath or if you notice he is trying to go, while he is on his back, gently encourage his knees towards his belly (kind of like a squat), makes it easier for him to push.
Each baby is different so trying to find the right formula is just trial and patience. I have four babes and none of them were the same. I am currently using S26 Gold but I would stick to what you are using if you find it is better than the last. We all want the best start for our babies but don't be fooled by the words 'premium, platinum or gold'. The most important thing is that your baby sleeps well and gains weight well, this makes for a happy mamma. All the best.
Hi Sam,
My pediatrician advised me that “Gold” formulas tend to constipate babies so I would steer clear of those. Personally, I would stick to the A2 and get some Coloxyl drops. These drops combined with the A2 really helped my baby girl. She was a bit older though so I would check with your Doctor first and make sure your bub can have them. I'm not sure why the nurse suggested colic drops and infacol for constipation, I wouldn’t expect them to make a difference.
I hope your bub is feeling better soon. It’s horrible to watch them constipated and in pain. Best of luck.
Hi ladies thank you for your advise I’ll be sure to take it on board ... Shelly I had a auto correct moment happen i am currently using coloxyl drops not colic drops along with infacol as advised by nurse and it’s not really doing much
