Advantix for Dogs Blue (Extra Large Dog)
Been looking for a product for years which would repel biting flies… treated dogs with Advantix and now no problem with incessant flies biting dogs ears… ears are now completely healed.. can not recommend highly enough
Purchased in November 2021.
Tubes should contain 4 mL of medicine, most only contain 1 mL. I bought 12 tubes and all are the same. I used a syringe to remove product from tube. It takes 4 tubes to get the correct dose for an extra large dog.
Purchased in July 2020.
I never leave reviews, but I hope to save someone the heartache of missing their best friend. My dog is well within the weight limit (6 month cane corso) and has never had health issues. Very healthy puppy. After applying this she could not eat, drink, barely breathe, or move. I had to carry her just to pee. Defecated herself because she's unable to move. I called the 1800 and was told to bathe her and take her to a vet. Thanks no thanks! Please find something else to give to your dog

I bought the 2-pack and I put this on my dog who was scratching and itching and had hair missing from pea-sized spots along his rib cage. Within about 12 hours, he stopped scratching around his rib cage, where he had been infected. But after about 15 hours, he suddenly started scratching his face. He was scratching his face for about 2 days. Then he developed an infected bubble, about pea-sized, on his face! And every day over the next week, his scratching of his face increased, and he developed another pea-sized spot where his hair was mi...

I returned the batch to the Petco where I had bought it. I asked if it was expired. They tried to research the Lot No. on the box, but could find no decoder for the Lot Np., and they found a claim that K9 Advantix II does not expire. I was skeptical, since so many people gave positive reviews. I could not help but wonder if I got a bad batch or if the effectiveness had expired...maybe the Lot No. could show the date that medicine was manufactured. But I could find no help. So Petco let me exchange the remaining medicine for one that seemed to have a Lot No. with letters further down the alphabet (which I hoped was an indicator that it was more recently manufacture). The new box Lot No. was KP0D26F KP0C5DU.Find out how Advantix for Dogs Blue (Extra Large Dog) compares to other Tick & Flea Control Products

Very happy with the results, most effective flea killer I've seen!
I have a healthy bull arab dog of 3 years whom was flea riddled, nothing I did was helping. Decided to try this and it worked wonders, I'm certain it was 100% effective in about 6 hours and I've monitored her for the two days following use, there appears to be no side effects and her fur is still just as soft as ever.
Very easy to use, and I have recommended to both friends and family.

I chose Advantix because it also repels flys and insects, I have been using Advantix on my Labrador the past 2 years he has had no fleas or ticks will continue to use very happy customer.
I have been using this product on all 5 of my dogs it does not work waste of money. Your company should not be allowed to claim it kills and prevents fleas it does not! My little dog has as many fleas as she did before I used this junk. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

I have been using this product for years and have never seen a flea or tick on my dogs. Great product, easy to use. A lot of people do not realise that this product does take a few days to start working.

I have had no probrems with Advantix YET. Remember in time fleas and ticks build up a resistance to a drug and then it doesn't work so well.

This product worked for fleas and tics, however my dog developed immune mediated thrombocytopenia and died. Please read the side effects before administering, I assumed it was safe.
Immediately upon application to the shoulder area of my 7 month old, 65 pound Golden, she started running around the living room. She would rub up against furniture, lay down briefly, up and running around briefly visiting her favorite spots but was very agitated. This went on for a couple hours. Looked on line to see similar complaints/concerns. Called my vet, they don't carry this product but urged me to bathe her immediately with Dawn. If that didn't help, bring her in. Fortunately, an apply rinse apply rinse routine proved effective.
Worst $50 I've ever spent.
Applied Advantix as directed to my American bulldog he developed a big sore where the application was and it turned into a big scab which fell off and left a bald patch he is still scratching I am a pensioner and paid big bucks for the product never again will I use Advantix

This product is amazing - it's the one tick prevention product that I can really trust and gives me confidence that my 2 Great Danes will be perfectly safe no matter how much bush exploring they do!
This product is fantastic. We have two large dogs (36 and 52 kgs) and they have never had a problem with a reaction and never had a tick since using it. We've been applying this religiously every 2 weeks for the past 2 years and it's never missed a beat *touch wood*. I've used other products and they've been useless. Can't recommend it enough!

Brilliant for fleas, ticks and REPELLING FLIES IN SUMMER!!!!
Here in Perth there are heaps of flies in Summer (and pretty much all year). We've tried all sorts of topical treatments to no avail and worse the dogs hated them. For 3 years solid we've used Advantix for Extra large dogs over 25kg on our labradors and it is BRILLIANT. Picture this - our yellow lab is bitten by the flies all over her ears so much that they bleed and our black lab licks her wounds every night. The two dogs are so attractive to the flies (particularly the yellow lab's ears) and the flies bite, it really hurts when they get you. ...
Read moreBefore Advantix it was horrible, and you never wanted the dogs to come over to you because they'd bring a cloud of flies with them. Enter Advantix. Bingo. You know when the product is working by day two when the flies have DISAPPEARED. We are positive that Advantix has pretty much reduced the fly population in our backyard by 99%. The flies are so bad and our house used to be full of flies after just opening the door to enter/exit. Now that the dogs are fly-less the fly population is all but gone from our yard. As for fleas, given the "soil" here is sand, the fleas breed in the sand quite nicely. Our dogs and cat lie in the sand and hey presto, fleas. What's worse, we got fleas in the house thanks to the cat. Again, enter Advantix. Fleas are history. Cat products were harder to find that worked (we ended up with Revolution and that's great, Frontline Plus did NOTHING) and then sprayed the sand outside with pesticide. As for ticks, our dogs are at the beach a few times a week and two weeks ago I remembered they were due for their Advantix. With school holidays and the mayhem that brings I clean forgot. Today I was washing my black lab and discovered a disgusting fat tick. Gross. Raced straight to the pet shop for Advantix. Spoke to Bayer and they said I just need to wait until his coat is dry before applying it. Would love to know if anyone can tell me a product for treating the cat for ticks - Frontline Plus is NO GOOD and does nothing except waste my money. When I google tick treatment for cats in Australia Frontline, Revolution and Advantage come up but none of the products themselves include the treatment of ticks in their descriptions. Anyway, Advantix is a ripper, highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Just in case you didn't mark it on your calender, you know when the dogs are due because the flies are there. On our labs that's 5 weeks after treatment. Also pros are flea and tick aspects, perfect for Perth WA and coastal areas in Australia. You have to buy it online guys or you can be ripped off. My local vet charge $80 for three months!!! It's about $40 on ebay or in lots of pet shops online. Petcareshop.com.au is my favourite. My local pet shop don't overcharge too much either - Pet City and they have online too for a few bucks cheaper.Questions & Answers

Read morer prevention against sand flys and have no way of knowing if it protects against them as they are not as obvious as ticks. Over the years we have used Frontline for tick and flea protection and it works a treat but does not protect against sand flys. It seems, reading the other comments, that we are wasting money on this stuff from Bayer, and I am convinced that if this was a treatment for humans they would be subject to a lot of compensation claims.
