Cheap Chinese Rubbish
Another example of China buying a once reputable brand name and using it to sell junk. This grinder has no where near the quoted power, gets hot very quickly and failed well before the warranty expired. I am a tradesman and own 2 other (Japanese) grinders that are operating well after 25 years of service. Buy something **made in** Germany, USA or Japan then sell it when you are finished with it or hand it down to your kids.
Do the world a favour and avoid buying this landfill.

Thumbs up for the AEG 125mm angle grinder
I purchased the AEG 125mm angle grinder about 1yr ago and have found it to be comfortable to use with plenty of power for grinding and cutting, so far the AEG angle grinder has been reliable. I think it's good value for the money and will be getting another one.

AEG power tools are for fools!!
Decided to upgrade my corded tools from Ryobi to AEG (Angle Grinder and Hammer Drill) by splurging about 30% more than Ryobi. The 6 year warranty and European brand got to me.
Worst decision ever!!!
Within about 20 hours of use the Angle Grinder simply shut down.
Within about 3 hours of use the Hammer drills chuck started crumbling apart. I had steel flakes falling out of the chuck!
I took the angle grinder to bunnings who were very helpful and promptly sent it to AEG. I had to wait 3 weeks to get it back. 3 hours of use later its again acting up!!!

Buying another
I bought my first AEC 125 Angle Grinder about 5 yrs ago and it has copped a hammering. I ended up getting a wire brush attachment stuck on and unfortunately the brake pin gave up. So I'm off to replace it with the same model.
Great little grinder will be pleased when I get the new one home.

Great value for money
I work as a welding contractor and have used all brands of grinders, purchased the AEG as it offers good power ( 1100 Watts) and a cheap price tag. I've worked this grinder hard and for long periods and have found it to be comfortable, and extremely reliable. Had to replace the power lead through normal wear and tear.
Definitely good value for money.

Top value tough
I needed to cut down pool fencing posts so decided time had come to upgrade from a 4" angle grinder to something more able to handle the job.
Many grinders to choose from: el-cheapos from $49 to respected brands priced accordingly. Bunnings had a good range and whilst you can't go and try it out, at least its possible to get the feel, so to speak, of using the tool. Immediately the obvious issue was the cutting guard. I know amateurs remove the guard thinking a piece of red hot metal will never hit them in the face but from past experience th...Read more

A very powerful inexpensive 125mm grinder
My Makita 9005B gave up so bought this one for $95 from Bunnings. It is 1100W and is a lot easier to use than the Makita, plus it has performed in some areas better. The guard changes easily and it comes with some useful extras including a case. I use a lot of tools and this is an excellent product, well worth the money.
