Mimosa 20kg Timber Umbrella Base
Purchased 2 years ago. Initially worked well then the metal tubing starts to become loose. Impossible to repair. Best umbrella stand that we have bought is a cast iron one with no parts.

Handy little Vacuum
I purchased a Ryobi 18V ONE+ Hand Vacuum, it has a strong suction to pick up dirt anywhere, it can be used in the garage or home. It also has a small brush attachment for furniture and cabinets. I would recommend this product.

The Case of the Vanishing Shade cloth
We wanted some shade cloth, we had selected the density %, colour and width from Bunnings website. Our first stop was Bunnings at Prospect. They did not have enough. The staff member told us how much was in stock at Parafield, Modbury and Windsor Gardens stores. We called in to Parafield. Their stock record showed 17 metres, they actually had none at all. According to the staff member Modbury still had 45 metres in stock. We drove up there. Surprise! They had none. How can an organisation the size of Bunnings be so inept at keeping tr...Read more
ack of their stock? It seems simple to me, stock comes in, it is added to the balance of available stock. It is sold, it is deducted from the available stock. It doesn't keep some kind of ghost balance just to annoy people who want to buy something.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Embarrassed Embarrassed by the cashier.
Was at the register with my 6 month old and 3 year old, when the cashier demanded to search my baby bag. I was embarrassed and couldn't help to feel targetted because I was a single dad. A long line of customers watched me empty the contents of the baby bag.

I went to Bunnings Bonnyrigg to buy some paint. I waited and then looked for someone to tint the paint but no one came, so I left. That was the second time it happened. They should put a sign saying there wasn't anyone there to tint the paint instead of making customers wait. Worst service.

Bunnings -Dangerous Monopoly- ACCC needs to look at bringing competition
Bunnings products qualities are going Bad to Worse - Since these rise of Masters. Bunnings promoting all bad quality products with relatively no quality check or customers feed back surveys as they know they have directly or indirectly contributed in the demise of Masters which is a great loss for Australian consumers. When a Big Suppler was warned that if they supply to Masters - they would not buy anything from them - naturally the supplier would hang on the Birds at Hand rather then the bush.
Unfortunately the consumer has to buy products o...Read more
f hardware and garden that Bunnings is the only suppliers and the prices are going slowly up - but quality is going down and down. e.g. Insecticide - Chemgrow used to supply - Insecticide concentrate for Coakroach and Ants 500ml for $24.99, Bunnings introduced its own brand and stopped marketiing Amgrow's products and Amgrow stopped producing that - perhaps as there are no outlet to sell their products.Similar opinion? Rude Employee
Bunnings, having swallowed the competition is now a monopoly. Looking at the overwhelming bad reviews clearly Bunnings management does'nt care about their customers, I recently had an experience with a staff member at their Eastgardens, Sydney store. I asked to see the manager, he was contacted and asked to come and see me .He did not come.He was contacted again, said he was coming and did not show up . I rang Head Office,Melbourne and put in a complaint.I was told the same manager would call me within 24 hours. That was 50 hours ago and he still has not contacted me. Thanks Bunnings !

Unhelpful
Looking for blinds: unfortunately little advice, no samples, little help, little knowledge, no advice on price ranges either. We needed to see some practical examples before making our decision and to have questions answered in a knowledgeable way. Travelling to a hardware shop to be told to go online wasn't helpful, we do that anyway. Bunnings missed out on a sale and probably on our next one as well. Investing in knowledgeable staff might just pay off.

Ridiculous that they have no stock
I went to their store to get a bird bath. A pretty standard item with a few choices and apparently they were all sold over Christmas, yet Christmas was two weeks ago and nothing in stock? Waste of my time. Will take my business elsewhere.

Brilliant service
I went to Bunnings Vermont South yesterday, not really knowing what I wanted to put on my back patio. Jeff was in the gardening section and he helped me to choose a lemon tree, pot, soil and also metal stakes for my roses. Jeff is an absolute Gem, so anyone who wants some advise see him at Bunnings Vermont South. The delivery of these items was made the next day.
Well done Bunnings staff, I wish we had more people like you around, the world might be a better place.

Awful customer service and nothing in stock
Went to get ozito charger and power station, the worker barely gave me any information when I asked her for help and turns out I picked up the wrong item. The worker never told that i had the wrong power station for the charger. Wasted my time and money.

Dishonest price matching on identical items
Today, Bunnings refused to price match an identical item - CSR Gyprock Easy-Finish Topping Compound 15KG. Bunnings price is $47.79 and Network Building Supplies in Revesby is $33.10 (online and store pickup available same day @ Network). But Bunnings want to factor in Delivery cost and staff don't know how to do that. I told the (I need to speak to my supervisor) employee that i was going to pick it up and that it was convenient for me at Bunnings. She sent for the supervisor to speak to me and I just left. Bunnings it's the same product!!! And you're sneaky and dishonest. Don't write things you don't mean. A real time waster going to Bunnings! Look at the price difference. Bunnings are overcharging over 30% than their competition

Gutter Guard
Australian standard 3959 states that gutterguards should not be flammable. I have checked all plastic gutterguards at Bunnings and all but one are flammable. This means Bunnings are selling these products illegally.

Terrible website
Great hardware store, absolutely love it but you NEED a better online catalogue!
- product images references (with more than just 1 image)
- product options
- better keywords search
*P.S.: A minimum of 30 words requirement in order to submit a review, ridiculous!

This product doesn't work
I purchased a yellow bottle of LONG LIFE MOP & GLO. I am so glad that I didn't use it on my stone slate tiles. I decided to try it on an inconspicuous place, in the ensuite on ceramic tiles. It is supposed to clean the floor and leave a light sheen, but it has left a white coating on the floor instead, my tiles were brown and now have a white coating right across the floor. I was very careful to use this product exactly per the instructions and still this is what happened.
