Pretty good prices, but little slow on communication
I have received my latest purchases and they are well packaged and were freighted for free. The prices are very good but responses to emails can be rather slow.
When I did finally receive a response to my email, I could understand the delay in shipping, and was then okay with the wait.
They are worth dealing with, maybe just respond to enquiries a little quicker guys?

The guy at Gregory Hills gave a great package deal on Milwaukee tools. His product knowledge was outstanding and we came away with exactly the required tools. Highly recommended salesman.

Very helpful and great service
"Butters" helped me to purchase a welder, helmet and gas bottle for my husband. As I had no idea what I was looking for he suggested the perfect set up, assisted in giving me a great deal and helped me to the car! Would highly recommend Sydney tools for the exquisite service, knowledge and assistance!

No refunds
After reading some reviews here I now know they are a bunch of crooks. I bought a tool and had to go back 3 times. Firstly they sold me a dinasour jigsaw and even they themselves surprised an obselete product are still in store. When I took it back for a refund they said they have no cash. Offer to pay me back to my account. Money never came back. 3 weeks already

Don't ever purchase anything from Sydney Tools!!
We purchased a Milwaukee edge trimmer in October. We used it in November and it worked well. We went to use it again and it kept on turning on and off. We returned it and told the Mitchell ACT store and they told us that it needed to go back for repairs....not bad for a new product!! It is now January and after many calls to get an update, we are none the wiser. Terrible service and I will never shop there again. I will also tell all our friends of our terrible experience and recommend Bunnings Warehouse.

Very poor customer service refused to give refund or exchange on my faulty fan even though agreed it was faulty
We purchaed a industrial pedestal fan to keep us cool over summer. The fan failed causing a large flash electrical short. On return to the store for replacement or refund was told by the manager we never give refunds. The guy was rude. Sydney tools had to send it away to be assessed but the truck to take it for assessment wasn't coming for approximately 3 weeks before it would even be transport back to head office for assessment. probably my fault that I overloaded the fan in some way... I said I thought the air was the same thickness everywhere and it was just blowing air, same thickness everywhere last time i checked. After arguing backwards and forwards with several staff members on Australian consumer law I left and said I will never buy another tool from Sydney power tools. So no fan, no repair, no warranty. Promises not kept
All sorts of false promises made about the availability about a De Walt nail gun to coincide with the arrival of decking timber at my home. I paid for the darn thing in full by Credit Card on the back of these assurances. Only after I chased these cowboys did they confirm that I wouldn’t be getting the equipment until the end of the month at least. “Back-order, blah, blah.” What a joke! Not even a hint of such delays when I handed over my money.

absolutely 100% terrible
While Sydney tools may be the cheapest, their customer support is the worst hands down.
We have recently purchased a concrete saw witch not only zapped me but continually failed to start.
Although taking over two months to look at it, they now tell me that its warranty is void because it has concrete slurry and water on it. Really! this is a concrete saw? !!! with a water point
you will be hearing more from me.... in the meantime i hope someone might honor their product....

Good inshore service, mediocre online
Bought the DeWalt DW745-XE online, for a store pick up at Penrith. That was the 13th December. It took until the 31st December to actually pick it up, thanks to the staff at Penrith who made the personal effort to do so (via an early morning drive to the supplier). So, in store service, fantastic. Tolerated my annoyances and went above and beyond service-wise.
As for the online experience... room for improvement. Cannot get basic information regarding order whereabouts. Compared to many other online services, comes up very short.

Misleading
Bought a product that did not come with a battery, description did not state this, so i had to buy a charger and battery separate and fork out an additional $10.85 in shipping when I could have bought the bulk pack free from shipping charge. They did not compensate me the cost of shipping even though they said they would do this. Very misleading and dishonest. I will not buy from them again.

Too frustrating to be called a joke. Never again.
Multiple calls with hours spent on hold, stopping my incoming business.
Multiple assurances "It'll be sent today" & "We'll call you back". Never done.
Multiple incomplete or lost jobs costing me squillions.
Warranty time between purchase date and delivery date wasted.
Eventually got an AusPost tracking number, but it's not valid (yet???).
Item went on sale after "claimed" sent date. Wouldn't agree to send freebies to make up for the difference, but did issue a store credit. Just read another review here, stating store credit only allows you to buy selected clearance junk.

Store credit What a Joke !
Just made my last purchase from these scammers I have just paid for a makita pole saw kit ( partly purchased because it came with a $200 store credit, ) buyers beware that a " store credit " should really be called a " selected items that sydney tools want to get rid of credit " as that would be a whole lot more accurate than calling it a store credit ! Don't bother trying to find the t&c's prior to making your purchase either they only come up once you have handed over your hard earned.

i purchased an item on black Friday before 2 pm Sydney time and paid for same say delivery which was 17/18$, its passed the time it provided, i have contacted the post office by live chat after multiple times trying to find out the story, they said they have no knowledge of this item handed over to them. i just dont see the point in paying same day delivery if its not even shipped yet? please help, its a Christmas present but needed it here early.

Seeing as they habitually lie through their teeth when you call them, I strongly suspect they never respond to emails as it's a record that could possibly be used against them when you inevitably have to go through official channels to get any sort of satisfaction?
