Greetings

If you’ve lost the book, I suggest you contact ALDI and ask for a replacement.

That way, you will have all the pertinent information and recipes at your disposal :-)

Best wishes!

If the instruction book wasn’t included in the box when you bought it, you can ask for another one.

I suggest you go back to the ALDI store where you bought the machine, and ask them for assistance - the machine is supplied with an instruction book (including recipes) and a warranty card.

Does anyone want me to take photos of the instructions that came with the machine? I’m currently on here though as I’m questioning the basic vanilla ice cream recipe. It does NOT say to warm/ heat the mixture but to stir until thickened... our arms nearly fell off while patiently stirring... I think it should have been warmed before putting in the fridge for 4 hours.

Try the vanilla ice cream recipe in the instruction book - it's excellent

Did you warm/ heat the mixture before chilling? The recipe doesn’t say to but it never thickened by simply stirring... I think that’s why everyone else is complaining about runny outcome as the recipe skips the custard-making part.

I have had 100% success using the recipe in the instruction book. I suspect the secrets are:

1. Measuring all of the ingredients carefully, to make sure they are in the correct proportion

2. Use an electric beater for mixing

3. Ensure the bowl has been in the freezer for at least 24 hours, and don’t delay in starting the churning once you take the bowl out of the freezer

Good luck! I’m confident you will be as successful as I have been with my machine :-)

Greetings

Have a look in your local ALDI, and see if they have any left.

They're $39.99, and well worth it!

have you had your bowl in the freezer at least overnight and mix really chilled

The bowl lives in the freezer, I followed the instructions more than once and always the same result - sloppy custard, sorry this device is a fail for me!

I would start with a yoghurt you like, get really cold and just churn as you would icecream. I always keep my bowl in the freezer so is as frozen as can be. My family like rockmelon, mango pureed and made with half milk half cream. Makes yummy icecream when weather is hot.
