Apollo Summit
I first got a slightly beaten Apollo Summit in 2005, just needed a fair bit of tlc such as new Brake/gear cables and thorough clean of surface rust + respray on handle bars. No bearings needed replacing or greasing as I didn't have much more than a screwdriver & shifting wrench!
By the way I had just moved to Noosa heads in QLD Australia so everything rusts living seaside.
That bike got ridden over 20km on average everyday for 3 years till I got a car & was light, handled great and was excellent painted framework..it didn't have suspensio...Read more
n so I think it was mid nineties . Whenever I see one of these on a nature strip as hard rubbish I ask owners if I can take it & they usually have a great story of how good the bike is! I restore them and sell them for $50-$60 knowing that the next few years will be trouble free riding for the next owners..Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect
This is my second bike and first trail/mountain bike and I got it in the Matte Black / Matte White / Matte Charcoal colour combo and Medium size. Buying this bike is probably one of the best decisions I've ever made!
The Summit looks amazing and works beautifully. Although it is labelled a trail bike by Apollo, it works just as good as a commuter and rides great both on and off road. rs is easy and the range of gears makes the bike excellent for a variety of environments. The only downside to this bike is that it does not come with a shock absorber and so if you are riding over particularly bumpy/ rocky terrains you may want to install one yourself. Overall one of the best (if not the best) bikes you can find in the under $500 category and if you are offered a discount (I got 25% off) then grab it because it's awesome value for money. reliable disk brakes, lightweight, aesthetics, great for on or off road, sturdy, range of speeds, reliable Shimano components, GREAT value no shock absorberSimilar opinion?
