Top quality product still going strong after 14 years
Bought my first Aussie Wool Quilt 14 years ago from the owner of the business when we were at the Easter show. He explained how they are 100% pure wool from the sheep on his farm with nothing other than a wash in some mild detergent before layering in to a quilt. He also explained that in Australia there only needs to be a certain % of wool to be called pure wool (cant remember exactly, think it was over 95%) and many commercial companies use chemicals including coating or dipping the wool in polyester or other products to give it extra weight...Read more
and bulk but that takes away a lot of the natural wool temperature regulating properties. We bought a summer weight quilt at the time and it get's used for 75% of the year and at 14 years is going strong without any movement of the wool inside or any thinning or anything other than a bit of discolouration of the cotton which is normal. Never been washed or dry cleaned and just seems like one of those products we'll have for life. We quickly followed up by buying a 2 blanket quilt for winter and have recommended them to heaps of people who are all happy. Now we have kids they have them also. They are a fantastic product that's worth every cent. Positives - all natural, top quality and seems like they will last forever Negatives - you can smell the wool/sheep a bit at first and if you don't like that they need to be hung out on the line for a couple of days (FYI I don't mind it at all). Plus they are old school and so is their website / ordering system, they seem to work better via a phone call.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wonderful Product
I did a lot of searching online for best wool doonas and I settled on Aussie Wool Quilts. Their products have far more wool for their thickest doonas) that some other major competitors. If you are shopping take note of the gsm levels when you are comparing brands. Very good price for the quality and they are stitched very well. I also bought a matching doona cover. I am extremely happy with the items and the doona I chose (the 4 blanket) is ideal for winter. I will wind up purchasing a summer weight one from them in due course. Shipping w...Read more
as very fast and well packaged. My only small critique is that their checkout system is a tad old and they didn't put shipping cost on that. I was however immediately emailed by the business and told they were taking the shipping cost also. The site does spell out the shipping price but one tends to forget when you are cross referencing sites and it struck me as a bit odd that this wasn't just in checkout. However, overall. a minor issue against the quality of these lovely doonas. Btw, they make half and half doonas so if you and your partner enjoy two different levels of warmth, Aussie Wool Quilts can make that for you which I'm sure many would appreciate.
