Love Love Love
The second formula I have tried on my baby and she loves it! It is certified organic and Halal, which is a win, win. Melts straight into the water and there are no clumps or chunks whilst drinking. Love all the other products of Bellamy's as well. Definitely recommend it.

So good to have an organic option!
It's so wonderful to have an organic formula made in Australia available through the major supermarkets although I found ordering from the company wasn't worthwhile since they took a long time to deliver and they also sent formula that had an older manufacturing date (I thought the opposite would happen). However, given the current issue of people buying mass quantities from the shelf and sending it overseas leaving little or none on the supermarket shelf most of the time, this might be one of our only options left.

Bub loves it
Bub loves the formula. He’s not a fussy baby but he started drinking it from day 1 no problems. So easy to prepare, doesn’t leave clumps and doesn’t go bad (as in look nasty) if you don’t get to wash bottle after use straight away. We’ve tried other formulas but always came back to this one, great peace of mind :-)

Best on the market
My baby is 4 months and he loves the bellamy's organic formula. I won’t use anything else, no unwanted side effects at all. The label is simple, easy to prepare. My two nieces suggested and use it too, especially having a couple of naturopaths in the family. Well done Bellamy’s

Not happy
I bought the Bellamys organic stage 1 baby formula. I heard good things from a friend that organic is best so I used for my new born.
I’m confused between the measuring instruction they have given on the tin cause other formula have the same measuring scoop but there’s ratio is 50ml water 1 scope and 100 ml water 2 scoops.
Where’s bellamys have 60ml 1 scoop and 120 ml 2 scoops.
Although It’s easy to make but my new born is very upset and even not passing the poo. Where before his tummy was all ok.
Feeling like a waste of money and baby’s health too.

Good Formula, not for my daughter though.
Easy to prepare.
Used this formula with my daughter years ago and tried it again with new Bub. She hated the taste and I could not get her to drink more than 60mls at a time.
She was restless and hungry.
It just shows it really is trial and error.

Great until the allergy
We used Bellamy’s organic for infant for the first. Easy to prepare 60mL per scoop. Being organic was a great choice.
However we noticed our little one (10 days old) starting to develop allergy first around his cheek, then gradually around the eye lids and then to his forehead. After consultation with St John of God, it was suggested the high iron content 0.86mg maybe the contributing factor.
So we now stopped using it and switching to another brand.

Nothing special
My son seems to like it, however we haven't tried any other formulas so can't really tell if there is a difference.
A few things we did notice is that it gives him a lot of gas which makes him really irritable. Also, it doesn't have any added DHA or ARA, which has a major role in brain development and aids in the development of the visual and central nervous system. Having said that, I don't think I'll be using step 2 unless I buy omega 3 drops to add.

My Choice In Formula!
This formula was by far the best choice for us for my son. I stopped breastfeeding when he was 6 months old and looked for formula options instead. We tried a few different brands with no success... They either smelled funny, or my baby just flat out wouldn't drink them.
Bellamys Is a beautiful brand, its Organic, ethical and actually smells ok! My son had no problems with this formula, was never sick from it, digested well and it just worked!
I found it easy to get too. It was always available at my local Woolworths!

Great formula - a bit pricey
I used this with all three of my babies after breastfeeding. They took it quite well. Nil problems such as allergies or reactions or constipation. It is as easy as any other formula to prepare. It doesn’t froth or leave a chalky residue when mixed up. It is quite pricey, however, you can usually get it on sale.

Excellent Formula-Bub loves it
My bubba absolutely loves this formula...she is ebf but we like to give her bottle when out and about and she drinks it down with no issues. Given its organic we feel very content too that we are not feeding her any foreign chemical. It is bit pricey compared to other formulas but well worth the price.

Best formula!!!
I started my baby on nan her poos were watery, she was vomiting with every feed and was so crying all the time. The day I switched her to this formula I saw an immediate change I saw my baby smile for the first time. She enjoyed every feed and her poos were 100%better. I can not complain about this formula!!

My baby loves it!
My baby loves this formula. She rejects all other formulas. It is easy to prepare and tastes like breast milk. I chose to use Bellamy's Organic Step 1 as it says it is organic. Very easy to prepare and easy information on the formula tin and there are no side effects untill now as I can see. Highly recommended but If the price can be lower, that will be better.

Constipated my poor baby
I purchased this as I thought “organic” is better than some other options - it was for the evening feed only and breast fed for all other feeds and it constipated my poor baby. I’d hate to see what would have happened if I was having to feed this formula for all feeds rather than just one.

quality product
We tried a few other natural / organic formulas (not that there are many to choice from however) and our bubs didn't like any of them a part from Bellamys, and now we have gone through II and III. She loves them all and she's grown up big and strong 2 1/2 year old. We still give her a Bellamy's bottle in evening, and she loves her bot bot. Highly recommend.

Not too bad
I was really struggling in the begining with my breastmilk supply and tried so many formulas aptamil and s26 then bellamys. I found this milk to be okay for my baby because he was gassy and was doing green poos. Moreover this milk was may be hard to digest for my baby so he was reflux problem. So i just changed it and now he's better.

So far So good
We started with Nan Pro HA but very shortly we noticed it did not agree with our little one, caused constipation, sulfuric smelly poo's & Stomach pain,Wind & Gas (Colic type symptoms)
Since changing to Bellamys, he has been much more settled, less colicy but has silent reflux is our only issue.
we can deal with the reflux so we are happy that he is happier.

Not right for my baby
Always wanted to buy best & organic for our first baby so, we bought it from Coles. very frothy formula though. We tried this for couple of weeks it unsettled our baby really bad that he started crying while sleeping and did greeny poo. We were really not happy what was going on???? spoke to maternal nurse about it and she advised to change to Nan Comfort 1 since then its smooth sailing.

A great choice for babies
Easy to prepare and my baby does seem to love it. Maybe my baby is going to become a vegan or something because it only drinks this and none other formula. Maybe it knows that organic is better for him hahaha.. Just joking. But its a great formula and i would recommend it to everyone.

Does it give baby gas and also Constipation

Yes gas, very bad gas. Delays the bowel movement by a day or so then comes all out at once. Soft but very painful for baby to have a full tummy and passing so much wind.
Bellamy's OrganicBellamy's Organic
Bellamy’s Organic do not manufacture an infant formula specifically for anti-reflux. However, in some circumstances under the strict guidance of a health professional or doctor, you may be able to thicken your baby formula with commercially available thickeners. You may wish to seek further advice from your health professional about this. Reflux in infants can sometimes be due to a poorly coordinated gastrointestinal tract and may still occur regardless of what non-specific infant formula you use. Generally treatment consists of various things including:
Elevating the head of the baby’s crib or bassinet
Holding the baby upright for 30 minutes after feeding
Thicken bottle feedings with cereal (do not do this without a doctor’s supervision)
Change feeding schedules (discuss with the child’s doctor first)
Try solid food (discuss with the child’s doctor first)
Constipation is often misdiagnosed. If you think that your baby is experiencing constipation, you should seek medical advice to rule out anything serious. It is not uncommon for formula fed babies to pass stool less frequently than breast fed infants. Stool can often be a different colour and consistency.
Any changes in diet can cause changes in stool movements; frequency, consistency and colour. In Australia it is a requirement that all formulas are fortified with mineral iron for healthy growth and development of babies. The added iron can cause some stools to be green in colour and may cause some transient constipation, particularly when compared against stools from breastfed babies. Babies go through amazing transitions in digestive function as they grow. Their tummy’s can be affected by all sorts of things including sickness, teething, and different and new foods or drinks being introduced. All in all however, you know your little one best so if you are worried, you should seek advice from your medical practitioner.

Hi Jenny,
At 6 months it is recommended that you commence our Step 2 follow on formula as it contains the appropriate quantity of vitamins and minerals that are best suited for a child of this age group. If you do wish to stick to Step 1, we would advise seeking medical advise to see whether this is suitable for your child.
Kind regards,
Bellamy's Organic
Good morning, hmmm i read in the previous posts several times, that stage 1 is suitable till 12months.
How come you are recommending me to switch to the follow up formula if previous posts stated its ok to use stage 1 formula till 12months.
I m very confused now.
This is one statement from one of your previous posts :
Both our Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula are nutritionally complete and will provide your baby with all the nutrition required for healthy development until they are about 12 months of age.
Bellamy's OrganicBellamy's Organic
Good morning Jenny,
My apologies for any confusion. The paragraph you have quoted above is intended to explain that the Formula fed to the corresponding age groups will provide the nutrition required. We still encourage you to transition to Step 2 as the formula has been crafted to suit the nutritional needs of an infant within a defined age group. By continuing on Step 1, your infant may not receive all the required nutrients to support their needs from 6-12 months. It may be suitable for you to use up the Step 1 you have assuming your child is receiving enough nutrients from other sources, we would still encourage you to seek medical advice.
Please see below the advice we provide on how to best transition.
While most babies and toddlers would be expected to experience a smooth transition between the old and new formulations, it’s important to remember that every child reacts differently when changing formulas. Because of the addition of new ingredients to our formula, your baby or toddler may initially experience some digestive changes. Whilst this is completely normal when transitioning to a new food or formula, we recommend that you transition slowly from one formula to the other at around 75% original formula with the addition of 25% new formula and increase the new formula over the course of 1-2 weeks. For a bottle using 4 scoops of formula, this would equate to 3 scoops of original formula and 1 scoop of the new formula. Always ensure that both formulas have the same scoop to water ratio. If you are worried about any persistent symptoms, please seek professional medical advice.
Please let me know if you have any further queries.
Kind Regards,
Jacqui

Hi, I'm from malaysia
The doctor says that my daughter can start solid already and she's 4 months+ now. It's hard to find Bellamy's rice cereal for 4 months. Is it OK if I buy for 6 months ones. What's the difference actually?
1 answer
Bellamy's OrganicBellamy's Organic
Hi there,
The formulation of ingredients for the 4 month baby rice is more suited for infants of this age group who intend to begin solids. The 6 month baby rices have additional ingredients that are more suited for an older infant. It is advised to start at the 4 month baby rice if your child is less than 6 months to avoid any possible tummy upset when starting solids.
Kind regards,

Hi Andrew,
Thank you so much for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your precious baby had an allergic reaction to this formula. ... Read more
We have 0.3mg/100kJ of iron in our formula. We comply with the standards set by FSANZ which stipulate that infant formula should contain between 0.2-0.5mg/100KJ. Therefore our iron levels are not high and fall right between those required for adequate growth and development of an infant. An allergic response can be mounted from a range of ingredients and given the iron content in our formula falls within appropriate ranges, this might be an unlikely contributing factor. Thank you again for your feedback and we do wish your little one makes a speedy recovery. Kind Regards Bellamy's Organic
