Hi, I have a belling fan oven and the top oven has got very noisy. I can’t see a fan in it but the noise seems to be coming from the top part where the air vents are. Any suggestions?

Hi Orla, You may be referring to the cooling fan. I would suggest to contact our service team as they will be able to asses it by getting a video of it, you can contact them on 1800 444 357. Thanks

I bought a Belling 90cm Free standing cooler last year and the rear aluminium plate is vibrating making a really annoying noise I’ve checked the retaining screws and one was slightly loose which I tightened but the vibration remains. Is there anything I can put between the two rear sections to stop this happening?

Hi there is smoke coming from the black box that the power is connected when we use the oven, when I touched it to see if it was I hot I got a shock, can this be repaired or just wasting time?

This is very dangerous and should be repaired. Turn off the power to the oven at the switchboard and call 1300556816 for your nearest service agent.

hi, you didnt say how old your belling oven is, if more than 3 years old throw it away and buy a decent brand as this english brand is junk. I agree with the belling official turn it off in the switchboard( marked oven ) and do not use. Good luck with the 1300 number for belling service, i rang them 3 times and they were rude unhelpful to the point of being difficult and more than vague on the possible cost of any repairs.

Cheers yeah done all the above it's 5 years old and the terminal box is burnt out, belling were only rude when they asked me who installed it and were they licenced and that's really unusual to happen if a licensed installer installed it . I used a qualified electrican to install it so I don't know who is more qualified. Unless there are oven installers out there. Thanks

When you clean the oven are you supposed to take off fan cover and clean around fan? Also found that this cover screws were loose which could explain rattle

No, you don't need to take the cover off. You can tighten the screws but its my experience that the rattle comes from the back panel of the cooker,

Please note that we do not recommend that the rear cover be removed at all except by a person qualified to do so.

I purchased a Belling FSE60DOPW model stove July 2014. It has been a terrific appliance. However in the last month the fan in the bottom oven rattles for about a minute after first turning it on. It stops and doesn't make another noise. Fan works and Cooking is not affected. Is this a problem I should get a service person to look at?

Thank you for your query Susie

Whilst the issue reported does not have any negative effects on the performance of the oven, we would recommend having the rattle addressed by a service agent under the 24 month warranty offered on the appliance.
Please contact our Tech team by phone during business hours: 1300 556 816 to make arrangements for same.

hi susie,i have had the fan replaced in my belling oven by the local electrician who used a genuine part but was heaps cheaper than a serviceman and now having no probs. Rattle or vibration that occurs for a minute or two as the oven begins to warm up is unlikely to be the fan bearing which remains noisy the entire time. I also get this vibration noise and have found it to be from the metal rear cover of the oven, try moving the oven out from the wall a few inches and put your hand down the back and hold the rear cover and the sound goes away immediately. If it does its not the fan bearing and dont bother with a serviceman. thanks nhj

Bought a belling yesterday, still in box, worried the ceramic top elements will not be hot enough, have done most of my cooking on 2000 element, this stove has 1700w as its highest element, will it be hot enough?

We've now had this stove for about three years and we are still very happy with it - we still haven't had a single problem. We don't have any issues with the heat of the elements and use the ceramic top elements every day. If you're used to a higher wattage, you might notice a difference, but we haven't noticed anything.

I didn't mention it in my initial review, but I really like the oven as it has a wide range of choices, compared to other ovens that I have used - i.e. combinations of top and bottom elements and with and without the fan. Also, I like the grill because you can choose to heat only half of it, which is very handy if you are cooking, say, a single piece of meat.

Thanks Rodney, I think I'll be happy with the stove, I have burnt a few things with the higher wattage element (Electric rings) so this might be exactly what I needed.
