Hello
I’ve just opened my brand new Bosch washing machine. When I opened the door I noticed there was black mould inside and a terrible smell.
Not sure what to do, as I’m worried that if I just wash it out the problem might not go away and then Bosch will then not take responsibility. I’ve taken a video to prove that we have just opened it and it’s brand new. So disappointed as I have 3 boys and a mountain of washing.
I want to know if this is normal and need a guarantee that there won’t be on going issues.

I’ve bought the top of the range 10kg idos with wifi.

Thanks

Definitely something wrong. Get in touch with them straightaway. WE pay big bucks for the machine and the name; I am sure they will respond in a timely manner. Good luck.

Hi, we have a new 9k WAW28440AU and have noticed water pools around the rubber entry. I saw a previous post here that someone else's developed mould, ( I assume it's also fro excess water pooling and not draining. )
What can I do? Thanks, Naomi

Leeching
Leeching ·

I always wipe down any water after use on the rubber seal - it is a bit of effort but that is the way it is. Because I had this habit of making sure the appliance is dry, I never had this mould issue. I also keep the washer door open up to let it air dry and never closed up completely after washing and always keep the door open with 1 inch of a gap to not let the inside trap air.

It doesn't bother me. If the look of it bothers you then just close the washer door back after a few hours.

I also take it a step further by also wiping down the i-dos compartment and pull it out a few inches to let it air dry. Once it is air-dried I will close the i-dos compartment back.

By doing this, my washer feels and smell completely new and fresh even after almost 2 years of owning it.

Bosch Home Appliances ·

Hi Naomi,
If water is not draining out of the seal properly we would recommend checking for blockages in the seal drainage holes and calling our customer service team on 1300 369 744 if the problem persists. Working with our colleagues in the UK our customer service line is open 24 hours from Monday 8:30am to Friday 5:00pm so please call at your convenience as some times can be busier than others.
Leeching's advice is good to follow to prevent mould as well.

Bosch Home Australia

Yes, but it is a brand new machine. Nothing is blocked. I have always kept my machines clean and kept doors open. I would expect you shouldn't have to physically dry out and soak up puddles for a new, quality branded machine. I will call the number you said.

Hi. After 8 years the machine has stopped working. Service person says that it is one of two circuit boards but cannot tell which one (perhaps Bosch needs to better train their technicians!). I was offered a discount off RRP on a new machine, but the cost will be more than buying from GG, BL or similar outlet. Also, I am not keen on spending a lot more for another Bosch when the life expectancy is not greater than an LG or similar. So, can Bosch supply me with the two circuit boards for a very low price and I will replace the boards myself? Thanks.

I tried to open the machine before it was finished and the child lock kicked in. I released the door as instructed on you tube but now the machine is stuck in finished mode of the Delicates cycle And the child lock symbol is still showing And the dial isn’t changing the wash setting. It’s not acknowledging that the cycle finished etc

Bosch Home Appliances
Bosch Home Appliances ·

Hi Pia,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch WAS32440AU.
If the child lock is still active then the appliance won't complete or start a new cycle. Turn the program selector back to the original program, turn the child lock off and try and continue the program. If this doesn't work then a service call may be needed.
If you need any more help, feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744.

Thanks. I ended up leaving the machine unplugged overnight with door open. I turned power back on and let it beep at me several times and the program eventually cleared. No service call needed yay

Hi Len H,
Thanks for the question regarding your Bosch Bosch WAE20260AU washing machine.
Please check the filter pump is cleared at the bottom right of the washing machine and try the reset function below:
Make sure the appliance is switched off at the mains.
Turn the power point on.
Turn the dial to the first right
Press each of the buttons e.g. rinse plus, spin speed etc, working from right to left.
Turn the dial around to a program.
Power should return to the appliance and try starting a program.
If this does not rectify the issue, please contact us on 1300 369 744.
Regards, Bosch Home Australia

My tenants reported that my washing machine door handle broke off 4 mths after my 5 yr extended product warranty I purchased from Harvey Norman expired. My property manager obtained a quote for $300 plus and I found that there were no genuine spare parts available. So I contacted Bosch directly. Service was prompt and service call, the reconditioned replacement part and labour totalled less than $200 with a 3 mth warranty. I sugg u call Bosch directly - they should be the one making the diagnosis and treatment. If they misdiagnose or provide inadequate treatment, maybe they may offer u a trade in at a reduced price

Hi I have this machine and love it. Today I got the error code E:18 I cleaned the filter and drain hose there we're some hair pins in the filter. After cleaning everything. Had the same code it would not drain. The pump spun well when I checked it on the drain setting.
The way I fixed it was easy, I stuck my finger up where the outlet valve is near the pump, you have to feel aroungd up the top you cant see it. and the valve was stuck, it popped up and now everything is working fine.
Thought I would post this incase others have the same problem.

I have bought a used washing machine WAS32440AU for six months and it was great until a couple of weeks ago I found that it makes a beep sound all the time while washing clothes and it takes a long time to finish its work and the clothes did not dried completely. when I check washing machine, I found that when I turned it on, one of its touch bottoms (Easy Iron key) turned on an off spontaneously and it make a beep sound and change the remain timer on the screen. I do not know what is this issue and also I tried to find this model user manual, but I can not. Please advise me that what is the problem and how can I found user manual of this model washing machine?

Can you advise why the wash cycle on my Bosch was32440au is taking longer than the set time? The machine seems to be resetting the wash time part way through the cycle.

Bosch Home Appliances
Bosch Home Appliances ·

Hi Debbie, Thanks for your question regarding your Bosch WAS32440AU Washing Machine. This can happen for a few reasons, the most common reason would be due to overloading, the machine may struggle to balance itself due to the load and will stop and try to readjust which adds time to the cycle. We'd recommend referring to the user manual for the recommended kg limits per load and ensure you're selecting the correct cycle for the load. If you have any further queries, please feel free to contact us on 1300 369 744 to discuss further. Regards, Bosch Home Australia.

I have a Bosch waw32640au washing machine. The indicator for a drum clean flash, so followed the manual and put in detergent and switched on. The floor of the laundry was covered in a small area with sudsy water which seemed to come from under the machine. After wiping, the floor stayed dry for the last 6 minutes. What would cause this to happen?

The Bosch Logixx8 heats its own water so must be connected to cold. This means you can do a cold wash if you are doing delicates or things that may be inclined to shrink. You can then do a 90 degree wash if you really want to kill some germs! Does wash beautifully.

I have had my front loader Bosch now for about 2 years and mostly love it. The only problem is there is mould forming around the front of the rubber at the entry to the machine. I can see that water pools in the rubber and try and wipe it out after every wash but it the mould is there coming. Has anybody else had this problem and how to I remove that mould from the rubber? Thanks in advance
