Best noise cancelation at a premium price
I have been using these headphones for almost 2 years, mostly in an office environment.
Simply put, Bose noise cancellation is the best on the market. For that (and for the brand) you pay a premium price but it does work really well. Still, $400 for a pair of headphones is simply ridiculous and I wouldn't have bought them if I didn't get them as a present.
Sound quality is good, not excellent, and well balanced. If your looking for some bass they definitely do not deliver that ooompf.
Battery life is pretty good, I believe I get 15-20h. Th...Read more

Great!!!!
These head phones are awesome for in ear; over the ear are good but as a female I am always worried about my hair so I got these and love them!!! The only thing is the clip used for the mic where is not secure so I've lost it and had to pay $4 for a new one.... Great sound otherwise!!!!!
April 25th 2018 Update: Amazing!!!!!
I've had these for many years and I absolutely love them. I use them in my travels all the time and they really help with the noise. Highly recommend them especially when in a flight with small kids around crying all the time! The it drwback is I lost the microphone clip but it's easily replaceable.

Miracle-like in its performance until is stopped working after 6 months
The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is that mine stopped cancelling noise after 5 months. When they worked they were amazing. So much so I have replaced the non-working first set with a new identical set.
I hate noisy environments and these allowed me to go about ordinary day to day activities while reducing my discomfort, anxiety and stress. For instance shopping in a supermarket and not having to listen to the people, horrible music/ads, banging trolleys etc was a revelation. Likewise when walking along next to heavy traffic (...Read more
although the block out of this was so good you did have to be careful and LOOK for vehicles) or in Airplanes (although disappointingly they don't block out babies crying). The battery life is great, the controls are good, they are comfortable, also great to use with your phone. The only other negative I can think of is the tacky black/teal or white/teal colour schemes they come in.

Rating 4.5/5 Stars
Very awesome, when I've got music playing I can't hear any outside noise. My only gripe is the battery pack is very annoying, especially when trying to exercise or walk as it needs to be held or it just dangles there & feels kind of awkward. Other than that, I think they are definitely worth purchasing.

Some pros and cons
Like many others I also feel they do a good noise-cancelling job and has a good to decent sound. I previously heard good thing about their customer support. But the quality is terrible and so has the customer service experience been. [See new edit below] As at least someone else here wrote in their review, the cords broke up after 2 years of usage (I don't wear them often) so that the metal is visible. The button that makes you hear outside noise broke after 1,5 years. The headphones are still working but seeing the cords it is a matter of time...Read more
before they are ready to toss. The customer service didn't bother to answer the last two times I emailed them. So I guess they aren't so good taking care of their customer after all. Edit 13 December 2016: After a review on Amazon.com I got an answer from a US customer representative and they asked me to email them. After that I got to change the headphones and got a pair of new ones. So I changed my rating from 1 to 3. It was cumbersome to get these new pair but I'm pretty satisfied now.Similar opinion? Great quality sound & really comfortable.
I can't do without these earphones and wear them everywhere. Noise cancelling is really good - particularly for the size and saves having to carry around a big case when travelling. My only gripe is that after regular use the cord has shown a bit of wear with some exposed wiring but I guess this is to be expected after over a year of very regular use.

Awesome in airplanes
I got this duty free in the airport on my last overseas trip for around $360. I am no audiophile but the noise cancellation and the sound is superb. Especially grateful for it on the plane, you can basically sleep with them on without any music - no engine noise. I can definitely hear things I've never heard before when using this earphones. The in-ear feel is very comfortable. I previously had issues with ear buds falling out and or at least feeling like they would fall out with other cheaper earphones - don't have this issue anymore. Using th...Read more
is in the office is amazing, you basically in your own little world and it's easy to charge the battery. The Android controls seem to work well with both Google Music and Audible, having used anything other apps but no issues there. I know from friends that for some earphones this is a hit and miss on Android. I also use this QC20 when calling for business needs or something important, it almost feels better than talking to someone face to face as you can hear them crystal clear. The microphone is great as well, I've asked a few people on the receiving end and they had absolutely no issues with the quality. The one thing that's a bit annoying is the battery at the bottom of the cord. Not sure if it would better to have it at the top just before the split in the cable to the buds. It definitely gets in the way if you have it plugged into your phone and your phone is in the pocket. It also feels a little bit flimsy (the connecting points to and from the battery), and I really don't understand why Bose didn't make it so that you can unplug the battery (the earphones work fine when it's turned off). This would make it much easier to take them to the gym or to replace the battery in the future. Hopefully that's the addition that Bose makes in the future. Overall would definitely recommend them.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very good earbuds
I puchased these earbuds last year and these work very well. the sound quality is very good and level sounding. The sound isolation started extremely well but after a bit of use they do start to lose the power to isolate outside sound, this is why I only give 4 stars but they are good for most tasks.

Great Headphones, they have transformed flights!
Outstanding little headphones. Sound quality is good, but the real attraction is the outstanding comfort and noise cancelling abilities. Can't believe how I flew without these, They have completely transformed air travel for me, the noise reduction is outstanding. Nothing like arriving fresh and relaxed after a flight, I didn't realise how much of an impact the aircraft noise was having until i tried these.
Only negative would be that the replacement parts from BOSE, in my case I lost the pouch to store everything, are very very expensive. They wanted $32.84 and $5.00 deliver to replace the $2 item. Canadians can get them delivered free for less than half that. Aussie tax...

Fantastic, Highly recommend
Love these headphones. I travel a lot for work and they perform faultlessly. On a plane they cancel out close to all the background noise. Expensive yes, but by far the best noise cancelling ear phones I have ever used. I had the QC25 prior to the QC20 and they were just as good if a little bulky. The QC20 are much easier for travelling given their size and more comfortable if you happen to fall asleep mid flight. They do require USB charging but battery life is great. If they run out of charge you can still use as normal headphones without the...Read more
noise cancelling. The only real downside is the processing box that forms part of the earphone cord. Its is close the end of the cable that plugs into your device/phone but can be a little annoying. Certainly not a deal breaker as the NC circuitry has to go somewhere but hopefully next update to this product will see a decrease in the size of this particular part.Similar opinion? Great product and great warranty by company
These earphones are the best. A must have for the traveller especially for airplane travel. The science behind them is so simple but effective. The in ear buds are perfect for sleeping on long flights as well as producing good quality sound.
Recently, my unit earbuds had a charge problem only 14 months after purchase. 2 months out of warranty. When I contacted the store, they happily replaced my earbuds. Outstanding service! Congratulations to Bose and the team at Indooroopilly .

World's best because . . . . . .
I agree 100% with the previous reviewer JMBAU so I won't repeat the points. You have myriad choices of noise-cancelling headphones - brands, specifications, features and price-points. But these are "in-ear" phones with no rivals because the technology is proprietary to Bose - for the moment. Hence, for the moment you pay big time for the privilege (RRP $399.00). Clearly a class of its own because Bose created that class. Also, I use it to drown out airplane noise (without listening to music) so that I can listen clearly and attentively to the flight attendant's all important and captivating safety instructions. How sad!

Really do blot out noise
These in ear, noise-canceling earphones are simply wonderful. I have worn them on many a long plane flight as well as trains, buses, metros...alas, I finally lost my original pair and had to fly on a long flight home without them
Went straight out and bought another set - they really are that good.
They are incredibly comfortable for in-ear pieces - I have often have problems getting these to fit, but these fit very well. I wanted something that wasn't bulky, was light, and took up very little room. They deliver all this in space - with gre...Read more
