Suspected gas leak case

I made a call to dodo for suspected gas leak as the smell was horibal coming from the meter and issue sorted out quicker than I expected with friendly staff.

Signed up - waited over a week - called them - didn't even have us on the system. Then tried to sell to us again!! You have to be kidding me!! We will probably not get power on time in our new home because of this delay.

I rang, they explained, I purchased, they activated. It was easy to sign up to electricity, gas and even shifting over my mobiles. They offered me a better deal than I already had.

The worst Philippian call centres ever

Avoid at all costs. If you think telstra have bad call centres just wait until you have to deal with these clowns and their attempt at speaking English. Terrible service

I have a few services with Dodo, I’m pretty happy with them, great value that’s for sure, phone service has been great pretty much every time, compared to the others they’re much better to get things right, I like to give credit where credit is due so there you go.

Set up was quick & easy.
Power is usually reliable but I seem to live in a suburb that has short blackouts on a fairly regular basis.

When I moved house, I closed my old account and requested a final reading. However Dodo is still sending me bills for the old address. When I query the account, it is immediately cancelled but I can't help wondering what would happen if I did not query the bill, and if my credit card would have been direct debited.

Terrible, overpriced, bad customer service

Terrible experience. Got on board with them as victorian energy compare showed them cheapest forus. Confusing billing and credit mechanism, constantly making mistakes with billing. Sent me different bills for same billing period again and again, and also sent me bills again for period already paid. Customer service not responding well. I changed provider at less than half of dodo rates.

DODO charge move out fees $39 each for gas and electricity separately which I never came across by other suppliers.

Moved out of premises and notified dodo in Jan20 received last gas bill in Mar20 with charges from Jan to Mar which I have vacant the place. I am worried about their billing system...

DODO has to be the worst provider in existence. Bad customer service, horrid rates. They embody pure incompetence, if I can recommend anything its never to trust dodo with any of your services so they as a company can go extinct like the bird. They somehow found a way to do me in even after I cancelled my service with them. First they refused to give me a proper final reading overcharging me. Then a month after my service was cancelled they charged me again. This is trash dodo is corporate trash. Never sign up to this.

Horrible!!!!

Please don't subject yourself to these guys! I joined in November & despite having a month by month payment option. I had to call them to chase up bills. Then all of a sudden in March they decide to send me an overdue bill despite never receiving any prior. Called to resolve & the lady was so rude. Kept talking over the top of me & not willing to be reasonable at all. Needless to say I switched to another company that day.

Cheap affordable

Cheap and affordable more suited for apartments and singer owner occupants.
Can be affordable for large home owners also because Dodo Power & Gas charge per month. Not annually.
Hence much easier to afford power & gas. Where most Australian Power Retailers charge or bill annually.
Customer Service/Live Chat is already expected as Dodo is foreign/Overseas owned.

Dodo asked to change my electrical meter to smart meter. The reason is my meter does not Ausgrid standard. The bill price will be changed after. I call customer care for more information. A female staff repeatedly read the reason from email what I received. Sent twice email to customer care, no response. Anybody has same issue asking for changing smart meter.

I called dodo 3 times. The person can not give your answer. the manager isn’t on the phone. transferred me to Ausgrid. after a few selection, ask me go to fill a form request form. The cut off. Bad service+++.

They should be paying for it if they’re requesting the upgrade. Don’t let them tell you otherwise. They’ll try and make you pay for everything.
