A good cooker but as usual the non stick comes off

This is a great little machine. I don't cook small amounts of rice so it's nice to be able to do large amounts.
The rice comes out lovely and fluffy just like it should, and it's never burnt or gluggy.

The non stick coating on the bottom has come away, but this is common on appliances with non stick coatings. I don't know why they even bother. The fact that the rice now sticks on the bottom is the ONLY reason this doesn't have 5 stars.
Cooks well
Non stick came off and now it sticks

Would never buy again!

It cooks the rice fine, however after using the rice cooker over a sixth month period (on average once per fortnight) the dish part has lost the non stick surface, so now the rice sticks the the dish and it's a nightmare to get off even with constant stirring of the rice all the time.

Tried to get a replacement dish and they don't make them, so now I have a rice cooker that is useless.
When it has the non stick surface it cooks the rice well
Non stick surface wears off too quickly and breville don't sell this replacement part.

Disappointing

Cooker initially cooked rice well. Need to guess water level if cooking only one cup of rice as guide only begins at 2 cups. Water level guide extremely difficult to see. Coating on bottom of pot coming off after approximately 18 months. Water spits out of lid when cooking rice at times. Rice closest to heating element sometimes burns turning brown or remains white but is dry and hard, the rice on top is fine to use.

Excellent

I have tried several rice cookers over the years (all cheaper than this one) - and this was the only one that did not lose its non-stick coating after a few washes. I also found that it remains intact if washed by hand with a soft sponge - not a brush. It's well-priced and cooks the rice perfectly
This rice cooker is easy to use and cooks the rice to perfection everytime. It also has 2 trays that are used to steam - I found this very handy as well. It looks great and is easy to clean. It is also well-priced

Good

A great little rice cooker that holds up to about 12 cups of rice. It is easy to pop the rice in add some water flick the switch and walk away. It cooks itself to perfection and then stays warm until you are ready to use it. Can be used to cook as a steamer also. The only downfall is the non stick coating did not last long and the rice stuck to the pan, although a little soak and it would wash clean.
It cooks rice to perfection. Can also be used as a steamer. Really well priced and stylish for any modern kitchen.
Even though it is non stick the coating came off after a while and the rice would stick to the bottom.
