Great multipurpose gadget
Great multipurpose option which is easy to pop in the irgredienta let it go, or if you have forgotten about dinner until the last minute the pressure cooker can just about cook anything. I like the look of the machine too so it isn't an eyesore on the countertop, and the buttons are easy to navigate, very Handy! one downside is cleaning all the pressure gauges I'm always scared of loosing a piece.

Great results in half the time
I've used the unit in pressure cooker mode plenty of times now making a number of beef stews and soups where the meat just falls off the bone.
They recently recalled the rubber gasket but sent out a new one which has much clearer arrows identifying which way is up.
Definitely recommend this unit or the newer updated model to anyone looking to cook easy meals in Winter

Good value
Good value but outside gets very hot and with young kids it's an issue I'd prefer one that stay cool on the outside so the kids are safe and I know I've burnt my arm a few times using it by accident and I would hate to think what it would do to a child skin

this is a slow cooker
what more can i say, its a basic slow cooker that is able to maintain a stable amount of hear during a short or long time period, 4 to 5 to 6 to 7 hours are the main settings and time goals for using this slow cooker. Works fine for the price.

Tender meat in no time
This cooker is great for people with lack of time for cooking. Throw in all the ingredients, set timer and 30 minutes later dinner is served with fall of the bone lamb shanks. Highly recommended for busy people. It also serve as a slow cooker, so if you want to cook soup it will be ready for you when you get home after work.

Great product - easy to use and clean
Have had this unit for about 6 months now and have used it a number of times with excellent results each time. I particularly like the Saute/Sear option which allows you to brown the meat before cooking. We have not had a bad result yet. If you have not had a pressure cooked meal before you will enjoy the depth of flavour that this type of cooking provides even the vegetables. Best of all the results are obtained in a fraction of the time it takes to do a traditional slow cook.

Life changer!
can't wait to get home after work and make dinner now! And now i have the option on the weekend to set it to slow cook over 8 hours, and come back to a delicious meal as well! Really didn't think that I would use this appliance, but I pretty much use it every day.
The sear/saute function is fantastic, and despite having reservations initially about it blowing up in my face, it hasn't!

Is the insert bowl of this pressure cooker made of stainless steel or aluminum?
1 answer
Mine, which is about three years old, has a non stick insert which I think is aluminum.

Hi. The store told us we would need an eight litre for our family. We have 2 adults and 4 kids aged 2-12. Can someone give us an indication as whether the 6 litre will be sufficient?

I cannot get the lid to close. It seems to hit a metallic stop as I turn it from the 'align' position towards the 'lock'. It is as if the lock button should retract further (ie; should retract into the lid internally and project further outside the lid).

Sometimes if the steam has built up it is difficult to close press the steam release value as you try to close the lid it may help
Thanks for your reply, but my trouble is closing the lid even when cold, it is not when heated, as I cannot get the lid closed to even allow the unit to be switched on..
