Life changing product.
Juicing as opposed to blending is suitable for individuals with poor gut health, being more gentle on your digestive system. I find celery and pear produce a sweet tasting juice

Perfect cheap starter juicer
This is my introduction into the juicing world, and a good place to start. This juicer is worth $150 new at JB HiFi
It produces juice, but there is a lot of waste - sometimes light leaves like spinach fly off directly into the pulp bin (I run them through again with a piece of apple) The pulp is damp, telling me that it is juicing too fast. I sometimes check the pulp bin and find large pieces of apple or ginger, and run them through again.
But for the money - I would have to spend 10x more to get better performance from a slow juicer. ...Read more
So it's perfect for my needs. I never use the high speed, because it seems like the low speed is too fast. Plenty of power! It is very easy to clean, and I have been happy to make juice every day, even with cleanup (and I hate cleanup!)Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great juicer! I use it nearly everyday
I love this Breville Juicer, it s quite powerful, get a good amount out of the juice from the fruits and not too bad from the green vegetables like spinach. It s a bit noisy and takes time to clean but if you have the time to clean everyday your juicer, this is a good product and not too expensive. I bought on discount at Target for 150$ but prices may vary until 200$ depending where you buy it.
reliable, relatively not expensive, good value for money
noisy and takes time to clean

Quick and easy -- love it!!
I purchased the BJE400 earlier this month and it exceeded my expectations. Not only was it affordable($169 down from $229), but it's quick, easy to use, and cleaning is not a drama (I just use a plastic bag for the waste bin, and rinse the parts under hot water once I'm done). Didn't think I would use it as much as I have, but it's being used at least twice a day, and it's not overly big, so I can put it on my benchtop to remind me to juice daily. I've used it for kickstarts in the morning and fresh fruit daiquiris on weekends, and my kids love making their own juice combos. Highly recommend!
Easy to use, quick and affordable.

Very good value for money
For the money I spent, I'm extremely happy with this product. I consume only fresh juice every second day so my juicer has well and truly proven its sturdiness. The motor is super strong, the plastic parts are sturdy, and it's a decent looking appliance. Having used an older style juicer before buying this one, I am very impressed at how much juice you get and how dry the pulp is. The pulp gets thrown around really fast inside so, over time, you can expect the clear plastic to become a little dull but this is a very minor aesthetic issue. The o...Read more
nly other little gripe I have is that the entrance of the chute has thin plastic fins which ensure the plunger goes in neatly - the problem is that they have very sharp corners and this is where you stuff the fruit and veg in with your hands so, if you're not careful, your fingers can strike them and it can be painful. One such incident actually gave me a small cut. Nonetheless, I'm still giving this juicer 5 stars because I'm very impressed with quality and performance I got for my money. powerful motor, efficient extraction, value for money sharp guide-fins at chute entrance can hurt your fingers if you're not careful2 comments

Hi Saj, The BJE410 is only avaible in Australia. This review might have been for the BJE410. The BJE400 is available overseas.

Awesome!
We've had this juicer now for 10 months and it gets used everyday. It has not missed a beat. It has been a really good investment for health/weight loss as we juice everyday. It is really easy to pull apart and all the parts can go straight into the dishwasher. We could not be happier with our purchase.
Easy to pull apart and all parts are dishwasher safe

Where can I get spare FOOD PUSHER (PLUNGER) for Brevile BJE 400 ?
I am located in NZ.

Hi, I purchased the BJE400 about 12 months ago and have been cleaning the removable parts in the dishwasher with no problems. However when I emptied the dishwasher today the plunger/food pusher had a large bulge in the side? It will not now fit in the machine obviously. I was wondering if this has happened before to anyone else and can I get a replacement part?
Thanks Tony

Hi. This has not happened to ours. I suppose you could get another one but under the Australian consumer law the product needs to be fit for purpose irrespective of company warranty and this is obviously not. I don't ever remember reading in their literature that it couldn't be placed in a dishwasher? You would expect that an integral part like this would last for a number of years. I Think you should contact Breville and let them know and request a new part if not under their warranty under the Australian Consumer Law.
Part 4 covers it I think.

Sorry but I just assumed you were in Australia, but I now see you may not be as you mention the BJE400. Anyway, haven't had the problem but contact Breville direct (they are an Aussie company I think or NZ) and I am sure they will see you right. Let us know.
Hi, thanks for your info. I am in Australia, bought our juicer from Good Guys in Joondalup, WA.

Hi, I'm thinking to buy Breville BJE400 and I like to know if this machine could juice kale or spinach?
Thanks

Hi, sorry but I don't know as I have never tried those two. But it does juice parsley and celery leaves. Hope this helps.
My friend has the same machine and did kale and spinach in hers, and said that it got clogged and didn't quite work the same afterwards. You are supposed to soak the parts in hot water for ten minutes after each use but not sure if she did this! It may just need a really good soak and clean. From memory the instructions said that you could do it, so she probably wasn't thorough enough with her clean. The moving parts are fairly large and come with a special brush to clean them with which gets in the nooks and crankys very well.

Hi Michelle, If you're in australia it is the BJE410. Yes it can juice kale and spinach. We suggest rolling the leaves up so they go in together and not just small bits. This way you get a high juice yeld. Hope this helps.
