do you need special pots, frypans to cook on breville the quick cook

You need cookware that is used on induction stove tops. Most of my pans were compatible. You should be able to see if your cookware is for induction on the bottom where symbols are used to describe what type of cooking appliance it is for.
If your pots/pans are older a simple way to check is to place a magnet against the base. (I used a fridge magnet) and if it sticks then it can be used. Hope that helps.

Just need to use induction cookware, most cookware in the supermarket these day can use on induction cooktop.

How can i keep temperature constant? I come to check my simmering soup and the wattage has lowered. Or I try to set a temp, but it changes on its own. The manual says you can change the default temp, which you can, but it doesn't state how you can keep that temp for the duration of the cooking.

Power goes down after a while from 1400 watts to 400 watts and then 200 watts in the simmer mode. Use the medium mode which powers at 1000 watts and stays constant.

Thanks . What if I want to keep the temp constant at 600?

Hi, How come the Breville representatives, who are said to be monitoring this stream, aren't responding to questions? People saying that they can't slow cook, that the temp deviates (by itself), that some pots are too heavy. What's the story?
