Potting Mix RegularHow can they call this potting mix. It is just glorified woodchips. Steer clear of this product

Potting Mix RegularFound many small pieces of artificial materials, such as painted material, plastic and poceline. Above all, I do not feel it is safe for health to use it for planting vegs or herbs.
Does anyone else find this potting mix don't drain well at all ? .

Potting Mix RegularShame there isnt a lower rating than one star. If you do not want your tomatoes to wilt then do not buy. Clearly the soil has fungi detrimental to most vegetables.

Fungus Gnats
Potting Mix RegularPoor quality soil, as others have detailed. Full of fungus gnats, which slowly kill your plants at the roots. Maybe it can be used outdoors for very hardy plants. Definitely do not use this for indoor or potted plants.

Potting Mix RegularUsed several bags of brunnings potting mix, bought from woolworths.
Used several bags to cover seeds planted in the garden. Virtually all seeds failed to show, or where some beans shot, the seedlings went brown where the stem was in contact with the mix, and most died. By contrast, seeds planted only 0.5metres away are thriving.
When I used some of this mix in pots, again for growing seedlings, the strike rate was terrible. In some cases pots failed completely. Same seeds in garden soil, beside the brunnings filled pots, no problems. Have tried striking cuttings in brunnings mix, again terrible results. The mix smells quite chemically when taken from the bag and I wonder what's in this potting mix.
I won't buy this product ever again
Potting Mix RegularThe first 2 weeks was great I was happy with the soil until fruit fly looking things started to appear in every indoor plant I have in every room (in total approx 35 plants) Every 2days I'm spraying pest oil and still they won't die. I'm soo over it and disappointed in this soil, I just hope my plants won't die.

Potting Mix Regulardoesn't drain when wet. Like concrete when dry, ABOSULETELY rubbish grade! It doesn't even look like potting mix like other brands which generally contains a bit sand, mud and wood chips. This thing looks like a pile of wet, black, hairy i don't want to describe it.

I have switched from using the big brand name H.....o for all these above reasons
For the price I find this a very good product
Potting Mix RegularThis is a budget potting mix but very good for the price..
I have been using this product for quite some time.
It’s good to mix with other products to fill larger pots.

Rubbish potting mix
Potting Mix RegularWarning, don’t buy this product. It is basically a bag full of rubbish or stuff other potting mix companies have rejected. Mainly just burnt wood, sticks etc, with hardly any actual soil.

Potting Mix RegularIt's garbage for ornamental flowers but GREAT for growing Sturts Desert Pea. They love crap soil. The soil repells water which is excellent because they hate water. So it's not all bad haha!

Potting Mix RegularRepotted my healthy indoor plants and have had to watch them either die or really struggle to get going again.I have had to actually aerate the mix in the pots because it set hard. Avoid at all costs and as it sells for$3 I got what i paid for; absolute crsp.

It is cheap and the reviews are not good. I want to plant proteas in large pots but before doing so want to know the composition of the mix to ensure it is suitable for the purpose I intend
I wouldn't touch this product again. Buy a quality brand instead.
Yep, do not touch this product, bad quality and contains harsh peroxide which will bleach and kill your plants (the batch i bought killed my plants)
Like all the reviews have said, and I wish I had read them first, this stuff seems to kill seedlings, it doesn't allow seeds to germinate and I'm pretty sure its the reason one of my red Cordyline plants gets yellow spots over the leaves, even on newer leaves. A green Cordyline plant suffered badly over last summer and hasn't grown much since, whereas another one using a different potting mix is flourishing and huge. It seems this Brunnings Potting mix is stunting growth too. My green cordyline is stunted. :(
My mistake was thinking I could save some money by buying a cheaper product. In the end it has cost me more money because all the money I've spent on seedlings and plants has gone down the drain. :(
Thanks to everyone for posting their comments!!! You've confirmed that it's not me but the product. I will now steer clear of this death-sentence-for-plants product and go with some of the better known products from Bunnings.
Like the old adage - " Buy cheap buy twice" says . Thanks all for your responses
Thank god I read the reviews first before going and buying this potting mix. I dont understand why Woolworth sell this potting mix if it is crap. Thank you for al. Now I will go and buy good quality potting mix. Woolworth stop selling this bag.!
Never buy this potting mix, it’s full of sticks and rubbish in it. I rang and complained about it and had to go through the third degree and didn’t get any satisfaction from the company at all. My next approach is to contact Woolworths to try and get them not to sell the stuff anymore.
