OK so stupid me went & bought the iP7260 without checking reviews !! My question is pretty simple really !! Is it possible to adjust the overall size of the photo once installed to CD/DVD template. No matter what I do and how many time I reduce the size of the photo it just seems to be too big for the allocated area (ie: Half dvd) or just pixillates itself...someone please HELP !!?? ;-)

Hi Gregory, I just tried the Canon software, didn't go trough the process of actually printing a disk but seems to reduce an image quite easily to the size required to fit on to the lower half (what I tried) of the CD template by grabbing the handles to reduce the images size. The image I used was a normal sized photograph in jpg format saved straight from my camera.

I've always used the ip4950 & I've had two so far but now my file with disc prints is not working correctly, all the icons won't open so I can't see the image for printing. I also have an ip7260 & for the life of me I can't workout how to get it working with wifi? If canon don't sort out the dramas & make things easy for buyers I'll be changing to another brand.

Yes I know it goes in long ways. Ive extended the arms fully. Does the paper slide in between the arms? Cause it won't fit properly. Or does it just sit on top of the guide arms?

OK Answering my own problem.....
The thing that nobody will tell you is that there are 2!!! thats 2!!! trays. Those of us used to seeing just one tray in the lower position (as opposed to the top loading position) (That will be just about all of us!!!) will pull out the most obvious tray which is for card size etc. Then you will alter the side and end paper guides, noting that, as opposed to the pics, the paper length is a third larger than the tray length and finally you will see that the paper wont sit flat between the side paper guides..... Just about now you are about to throw the tray against the wall..... don't.....
Take a deep breath, drop the whole shebang in your partner's lap and say 'you figure it out cos I can't!.... she wont figure it out I can tell you now but she might say 'there must be another tray' and you'll say (irritably!) there's no other tray
Just about 5 minutes later you'll start to fiddle around the tray slot.... push this, pull that..... etc etc then suddenly (be careful it will surprise you!!) as you pull on the lower part of the slot where you took the other tray from will be the tray you're looking for!!!!!

Say 'Thanks Rob' and I'll be on my way....

Hi,I bought an ip7260 for CD printing as my 4900 was worn out (needs new print head). Looking through the box contents there is NO printing tray. Would I be right in thinking I need to get a "J" type tray for this printer to accept discs for printing?

Cheers,
Ben

Thanks Pete.
The Bride asked me "did you look properly at the printer?"
I said yes... then doubting myself went through the box AGAIN... then had a look at the printer..

There are TWO paper trays underneath it.

Pulled out the top one (That I did not know was there) and she saw a bit of orange tape..
So I flipped the tray over and sitting there in its carryspot is the CD tray.

Honestly, I never thought of looking there at all!

Again,
Thanks Pete.

Oh... and how did the disc printing go?

Well, I could not get the supplied software to import photos or designs I had made, and it didn't want to know about a disc... so I just opted for the Easy Photoprint EX that came with my last printer.

It took about 60 seconds to recognise the printer, but the quality is certainly there!
Next thing is to link the laptops and brides PC via wifi.

Going to uninstall print garden, as it wants to re-organise my photo albums. Bit of bloatware really.

Memo to Uncle Canon... ditch the bloatware. Provide new printers with Easy Photoprint EX or similar as 99% of folks will be colour correcting directly from Photoshop / Lightroom/ photoshop elements etc. Having said that I used to LOVE the software that came with the ip4700, and preferred that to do my printing. I could do loads with that!

My HP C7180 has died! The output quality has been outstanding. Scanning nothing beats it.
I am looking at the Canon IP7260 to replace the HP.
Specification wise the 7260 appears to be one of the best on the market.
Is it?

I have a IP7200 series but there is no flatbed scanner in my model, I just needed the CD, DVD disk print function, every thing is very good with this printer. Sorry I could hot help

Thanks for the reply
i only found out about the iP7260 not having a scanner literally minutes ago. I will now be looking at the MX726 which "appears" to be very similar but with a scanner
Thanks again
