I am asking you how to make the printer print both sides the right way up as this useless thing prints one side upside down

Hello, As you can see in the picture uploaded: https://ibb.co/zZpxZby you may need to go into the printers "Page Setup" to change Duplex settings. If you have installed the software you can go to "Start Menu>Programs>Canon Utilities>My Printer. The window in the picture will open and select as stated above "Page Setup Tab". If you set the Duplex to long side left the printed pages will read like a book if in right order. I think you have it printing out "Short Side Top" so this would be used if you had pages stapled at top and you would flip the pages up not across.

Yes, Not the same model printer but tray looks the same. In the video he put the envelope before the rollers but I tried it and set it forward over the rollers until it touched the black paper stop and worked fine. https://youtu.be/eKqnmJv8Kds

I had a Canon IP4300 which came with a good program for designing and printing cds. I had to get my computer updated and have lost this program. I have cds that i have designed but am unable to view or print them because i don't have the program. They are a CLD file. The program was great to use. I have purchased a Canon TS9560, but the cd design and print is nothing like the one i had. I have also purchased a Canon iP 7260 but the program is not on the disc. I have searched the internet but am unable the driver for this program. Please help. TIA

I have a paper jam. How do I find it and remove it. I have an iP7620

If you turn the printer around and you'll see a section at the back of the printer with two small indented rectangles, one to the eft of centre and one to the right. Using both hands put each index finger into a rectangle and pull from the centre out towards the side. This releases the back section and you can pull it out and have a look inside for jammed paper. Pull it out gently trying not to tear. You may have found by now.

How do you get rid of the white border around the hole in the centre of the cd. using cd label print? I've tried reducing makes no difference.

The reason your getting a white line is because your settings for the hole diameter is too big, eg. bigger the number the more it starts printing out from the centre of the disc. I've used a great program called Acoustica CD Label Maker for some time now. With that program you can go to the (Align) then (Edit Paper/Printer Templates). You pick the model of your printer and if it's a full printable disc "small hole" or printable disc "large hole". In this part of the program you can change the diameter & diameter hole to increase or decrease the printed area of the disc. After measuring the disc I'm using I can set in millimetres to how much I want the printing area to be on the disc. My settings are "small hole disc" 120mm diameter and hole diameter 20mm and "large hole disc" diameter 120mm and hole diameter 36mm. If you don't use the above program then you may find somewhere you can make these changes with what your using.

i have just bought a set of inks for my ip7260 and find that there are 2 grey cartridges included. can they be used in place of the smaller black or are they only for the 8260?

I found this online. Being a new printer as written below, I believe it will not work until you put the right cartridge into the slot. If by chance it does still print with the wrong color, it may mess up your color palette and your printouts may look strange. Also as stated below, you'll have to flush the grey color out with the black to get normal printing again and that will waste the black color.

If you accidentally insert your inkjet's cartridges in the wrong color slots, most printers sense the error through circuits that check installed consumables and alert you with an on-screen message. Until you correct this type of installation mix up, your printer simply won't operate. In older printers that lack the sophistication to offer automatic feedback, you'll see color substitutions in your printed output that immediately alert you to transposed cartridges. If you manage to operate a printer with its inks in the wrong slots, the manufacturer's instructions typically recommend a full set of cleaning cycles to purge incorrect hues from the printing path. Cleaning cycles use ink, so your cartridge yield will drop as a result.

No. iP7260 is only a printer. Other models have the scan option, one being my current model, but I haven't tried to scan/attach yet.

To FrankMac59......I too enjoyed the wonderful Canon CD-LabelPrint program that came with my much loved but recently defunct Canon iP4950 printer. As I have just purchased a Canon iP7260 printer I would love to be able to use my over 200 disk labels designed with the old CD LabelPrint program but have not been able to work out how to print them to a disk using Canon's newer but vastly inferior Easy-PhotoPrint EX program. Can you please advise how you managed that task? NevtheDev41

I still use the old software as it is compatible with this printer. I also have Acoustica CD Label Printer which I bought when I found that CD Label Print was no longer supplied. It works and is fine but unnecessary as I found out when I decided to try the old stuff. You can find copies of the old software around the place but I have it as a fallback if needed.

Thank you Frank. The penny finally dropped today as I had very stupidly neglected to change the printer setting on my old CD-Label Print program from my old iP4950 to my new iP7260. Just did a test print on a disk with an excellent result, which is a huge relief as the current Canon label print program/s seem so user-unfriendly. For Canon it should have been a case of "if it ain't broke don't fix it!!" Many thanks again for taking the trouble to reply. Neville

With the ip7260 I can get to the stage to print, but when you click "PRINT" it comes up wih the paper settings-not cd/dvd settings.Would any know to get to the cd/dvd settings?

FrankMac59

You have to use the specialised software that comes with the printer that contains this facility. It is part of the suite on the disk but you can download it from the Canon site.
Earlier models used a simpler and much more effective CD Label Print which I think you can still find online. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2xIrzPi2ik
is a youtube video which compares and demo's the two.

can you print a downloaded DVD label on the IP7260?

1 answer
FrankMac59
FrankMac59

If you mean a printed paper label that is then stuck on a disk, that would not be printed through the disk printing side of the machine but The usual paper path. However you are going down a troubled path if you intend to stick that type of label on a DVD as the rotational speed will probably dislodge the label and damage the prior. However if you mean a digital label downloaded and imported into the software I would expect it would work in the usual fashion on a printable disc.

I used to have a Canon IP4950. CD-DVD Labeling was a breeze,,,until I got the IP7260........ Can ANYONE please tell me HOW to edit the label before printing. Before it was very easy to pick TEXT SIZE, TEXT COLOUR, I could also easily REMOVE the word "TEXT", twice, from the fisnished label and I could also, by holding right click mouse, move the text I wanted printed ANYWHERE on the surface of the CD. IT MISTIFIES ME WHY the same system was not kept!!! Can anyone tell me how to do it, step by step till the end of actual printing???!!! Thanks a lot!!!

I tossed the software that came with this printer and use CD LabelPrint which came with the older Canon iP printers, at least to iP4800. I have to confess I have only printed one test disk so far but it worked as expected. If you no longer have the software, I also have Acoustica CD Label print and it again recognised the printer.

where is the disc print software?

2 answers

Its a function of the driver. You will need to use the Software disk that came with the printer to install the driver before you attach the printer to your computer (WiFi or USB). To create a printed disk you may need to use a third party program like "Sure Thing CD Labeller Deluxe 6" . Make sure the printer is supported by the software. There are other software products, a bit of research on the web should get you something that will work. Hope this helps.

Thanks, but Canon should have included CD LabelPrint on the disc. I downloaded it and was able to continue.
