I have been using this product for years!

published

I have been using cetaphil for most of my adult life. Having oily skin which is prone to breakouts I highly recommend this product. I use it Day and night in the shower and have found it very effective in removing surface oil and dirt without leaving your skin feeling dry. It’s non-comedogenic (which means it won’t block your pores) and helps to prevent to pimples and blackheads. It doesn’t help with skin pigmentation caused by the sun hence why I have scored it a 4 out 5 stars.

Purchased in January 2021 at Chemist Warehouse.

Perfect for oily skin

published

This cleanser is too good for people who have oily or acne prone skin including myself. So after using so many cleansers and getting disappointed by them I finally tried this one and it was a huge hit for me. My acne were slowly gone and got a clear skin.also you dont have to use too much little bit of cleanser works well. Its almost fragrance free and doesnot leaves your skin very dry. So I would definitely recommend this product.

The worst.

My skin was only mildly oily when I started this, with maybe the odd pimple. After I started using this my skin became extremely oily and constant cystic acne until I stopped the product. Ughh if I could rate this 0 stars I would.

Left my skin dry as the dessert

published

I have combination skin and oh lord did it dry me out. It also stung heaps when I tried to put on moisturizer. Would only use for super oily skin and even then only once a day.

Excellent!

I started using the Cetaphil oily skin cleaner about a week or two ago, and I have seen instant results! I'm very happy with my purchase and definitely going to purchase again.

Drying my skin so BAD ; (

published

Its been less than 5 days using it but my skin is flaking up and it feels so tight. I think I will just stop using altogether than just looking like a dry fish. I was hoping its going to aid my skin but hey I was wrong. Im highly disappointed

Terrible

published

This cleanser was terrible, after the second time using it, my skin has tried up, has terrible dry flakes around my mouth, chin and sides of nose. It made me break out a lot. I have oily, acne prone skin and this did not help at all. Will probably try the gentle skin cleanser as i am just looking for a simple cleanser to wash the makeup off that day and clean my skin.

Not a fan!!

published

I didn't like it at all! It left my face feeling really oily! I'm not a big fan of Cetaphil because of the ingredients they put inside, but I don't recommend this product of you have really oily skin!

Doesn't get rid of acne.

published

I know people rave about this product so much, so I bought this and used this for a while and really wanted it to work for me. Honestly, it did not help clear up pimples or acne at all. I don't even think it overly controlled the oiliness. Oh well, I guess if you don't have pimples then this product would be fine for you, because it's supposed to be gentle and allergy-free.

Doesn't help acne or pimples

Don't wast your money

I have oily acne prone skin and I found this product useless, I had both my dermatologist and doctor recommend this but it did nothing for me, however I have a friend who uses this and she loves it so I guess if you had very mild basically normal skin it could work but for me it didn't. I also really hate their moisturizer I find it just Doesn't dry and makes me feel even more oily, it feels like body butter on my face

The best

I have used so many different skin cleansers and this is the best thing for me skin. It has never felt so soft, smooth and decongested. I seriously know what I'd do without it. I have told so many people about it because I have been so happy with it. Love it.
Great results!

Made my skin worse

published

I used Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser for two years. The first 3 months it helped but didn't clear up my skin. After the two years if anything it made my skin worse. I am now using a brad called Azclear. I have only used it for three weeks and alrealy i can notise a difference. Cataphill left my skin very dry even the
moisturiser left my skin dry. I waisted alot of money for two years buying Cetaphill. Im only 16 and don't have much money, at least with Azclear its working and in three weeks most of my bad ance has gone.

The Best!

People always comment on my skin and when I tell them I use this cleanser morning & night they are surprised. Skin care does NOT need to be expensive. I've had great results with this and it lasts for ages. Very happy with this product and even for mature skins, its fantastic.
Inexpensive and fabulous

Pretty Good

I found that this cleanser was really helpful to my skin. The first day i used it, my face felt less oily and much smoother. I don't recommend, though, using the cleanser by itself. To get results you have to use the cleanser first, then 2.5 Benzac AC cream and last but not least Trilogy moisturising face cream. After using these products with the Cetaphil i found my face more smoother and less oily.
Gentle on skin, Leaves your face feeling smoother and fresher
Face does feel a little bit tight

Excellent

published

I only purchased the product yesterday but only after one application I have found it has worked really well. The product I was using - Neutrogena Deep Clean cleanser left my skin feeling really tight, dry and stripped but Cetaphil has left my skin feeling more hydrated. Combined with the Moisturing Lotion I found that in the morning I didn't have a lot of oil on my skin after a nights sleep compared to other moisturisers which left an oily residue on my skin and I would wake up with an oily patch on my forehead and nose in the morning. I wear a loose powder on my face for coverage and found that it removed the makeup without a problem.
Left skin feeling hydrated, great price, gentle solution
Nothing so far

Oily Skin

published

I have used the gentle cleanser in the past and have experienced a recent increase in oilyness, I decided to move onto the oily skin cleanser
I have to give a negative review of this product, I found that after two days I broke out in a rash all over my face and had terrible break outs on my chin and forehead.
I also agree that it my skin produced more oil when using this product which takes you into a nasty cycle of cleansing to rid the face of excess oil which only creates more oil.
However, everyones skin is different so it may work for you and it's cheap enough to try.
Inexpensive, readily available
Created excess oil

for acne prone skins it's not effective

published

I went to doctor's office and he recommended it to me.my skin is too oily due to washing with anti-acne soaps for years now it hasn't change at all after 6 month using Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser .I think it's a waste of money and time like the rest of acne control products.also it doesn't remove makeup very well.it makes my skin very shiny after use.I bought it to control my acne but nothing changed.the only way to control acne is to take shower every other day.
its really gentle on the skin, when i use it it doesn't stings my face.
Stings eyes a little bit, makes skin more oily over time like soap, though it's soap-free,

its for all skin types but in my opinion it doesn't remove makeup. Your best to use a facial wipes then use your cleanser.
Hope that helps :)
