Horrible Product

published

My daughter used this cream; it has left her with big red welts on her face. She discontinued use of this product; a week later she still has red dots all over her face which are extremely itchy.
Product does not do what it promises. Very dissapointment; she pais $16.- for a tiny 20 gram tube

Purchased in May 2021 at Woolworths for $16.00.

This was the first acne product I ever used recommended by a pharmacy I'm now taking their recommendations with a grain of salt. While it helped hide my acne from a distance it was still distinguishable close up. It was also quite expensive, the ingredients simply cannot justify the cost of this product your simply paying for the promotion Clearasil spends on it's advertising. If you have moderate to severe acne stay away from this product unless you enjoy paying a premium for a brand name and really want to cover up your acne.
Varnish helps hide pimples from a distance
Didn't help acne during my younger years. Very expensive, I remember it costing me over $10 a tube.

Although this cleared up the blemish I used it on, I haven't used it since. I found it dried out not only the blemish but the skin around it, really irritating the flesh and making it a little sore and red. Probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone as I don't think the lingering result was worth the removal of the blemish. Maybe okay for a now and then thing but I wouldn't maike a habbit of it.
Made a blemish I had diminish overnight, could see a visable improvement
Strong, medical smell typical of all clearasil products, irritated the skin a little

I would never attempt to use this product again, neither would I recommend it to anyone who asks my opinion. Not worth the money. If you are going to spend money on pimple treatment product, buy one that actually works! This DOES NOT!
I do not like anything about Clearasil.
I really dislike the smell of Clearasil. The cream really dries out my skin, hardly works on zapping my pimples and leaves white marks on either my face or on a pillow or clothes. So many times after I have applied it and rubbed my face unconsciously after a while, the dried cream comes off in white flakes, meaning that it has not been absorbed into my skin at all.

I'm a 25 year old Asian who has combination type of skin. Although it does somewhat work its way to clear pimples, personally I do not recommend this product to those who have similar type of skin as mine. Not quite sure if it would be helpful for oily skin type, but I guess users have to risk for inflamation and pimple areas being highly dehydrated.
*It is able to help clear pimples
*It does not function well as it inflame my skin at the same time when it tries to clear up my pimples
*Having used it for a few days, those areas you applied it would dry out and start flaking, and it took me quite a bit of effort to recovery

Used it in the past, seemed to work ok for a while until one day suddenly my spots were all swollen into huge painful red bumps that's very difficult to get rid off (cystic acnes type). Pimples got better slowly after stopped using it.

Caused my pimples to swell
