For when you need the big guns
I've posted a few reviews on the various acne treatments I've tried on my son. As his puberty has progressed, so has the acne. After initial success with milder products, they were no longer effective, so I went in search of stronger products. We were already using the strongest over the counter cream I could find, so I looked at changing the cleanser. Enter pHisohex.
It is quite drying, so if acne is only mild or you only have the occasional breakout, this product may be too strong for you. It contains triclosan. It means business!

, it has worked very well for my son, who would have moderate acne (pimples and blackheads all over the face and some on the neck, but not the deep and sore kind) if he didn't religiously cleanse twice a day. If he gets lazy with cleansing, his skin condition deteriorates rapidly. His skin was noticeably better within a week of changing to pHisohex; and provided he cleanses twice a day, every day, with pHisohex, he maintains a basically clear complexion with a few blocked pores and <5 minor pale pink (not red) pimples on any given day. He now applies the pHisohex with a konjac sponge and that seems to improve results even more.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
I looooveee the sting!!!
I Struggled for 2 years using different products. Using this has cleared a lot of problems overnight in conjunction with the blackhead extractor tool. The sting is killing the bacteria.

Horrid
Right after using I could tell that something wasn't right as my face had started stinging and heating up. It's been about 10 mins and even after I put moisturiser on my face is still bright red. I feel as if my face is on fire.
Would not recommend.

Effective and Consistent!
I have struggled to find an effective skin routine that keeps my acne at bay long term. I have tried everything from natural remedies to more intensive ones. No routine managed to maintain clear skin for more than a few weeks, almost as though the effects of the products would stop working. It wasn't until I was recommended pHisohex by a pharmacist that I started to see real results! Initially, my skin almost seemed worse. I was told this could be a possibility due to my skin adjusting to a new product so keep this in mind. You may also feel a ...Read more
slight tingling sensation but do not be alarmed unless it feels more severe than this. Slowly but surely my skin became clearer. After a month my skin was free of pimples! It has continued to be blemish free and so silky smooth! I have been using pHisohex for almost 9 months now and I have never been happier with my skin. It's important to remember to allow the wash some time on your face to do it's job, for example, I recite the alphabet before washing it off. I also definitely recommend you use a moisturiser after each use, an oil-free moisturiser works best for me. My effective skin routine is really quite simple. After removing my make-up - I use the pHisohex wash, an oil-free moisturiser and the proactiv repair lotion to prevent future pimples. Sometimes I may also use a tea-tree toner and a gentle face scrub 1-2 times a week. For me, a simple routine was a whole lot more effective than previous routines that consisted of a lot more products. Obviously everyone has different skin and requires a different routine, but if you're struggling like I was, give this a go!Purchased in September 2021 at Priceline for $9.99.

Amazing product! completely changed my skin
Phisohex really is a game changer. I had searched for so long for a facial wash that would clear my acne. the amount of money spent on so many different brands in order to clear my mind acne was getting ridiculous. I came across this and truth be told, within a day and a half of using it my inflamed pimples were noticeably disappearing, and have stayed away since. Only advice I would give for using this product is to moisturize after use even if you do have oily skin like myself. This may not work on everyone, but clearly my root cause of acne was bacteria so this was the perfect treatment.

just made things worse
I'm a teenager and suffer with severe acne and i did notice a bit of a difference at the beginning but after several months my acne got worse rather than better. This may be due to me being a teen but i do not recommend this for teens with severe acne.

Cleared up all my pimples!
Ever since I've started using phisohex, my skin has been clearing up amazingly! I have quite a lot of pimples on my forehead and it's been slowly getting better. My skin is at it's best since like 2 years! I don't have sensitive skin so phisohex didn't sting or burn it at all. It does dry out your skin so make sure you put moisturizer on afterward.
I've tried so many face washes and this has been absolutely the best! It has great value for money! I picked it up for only $10 at Priceline.
I would not recommend this to people who have sensitive and naturally dry skin.

Caused extremely dry and irritated skin
This is the worst product I have ever used on my skin. My skin is SO dry and irritated after using this just twice. It is dry to the point where it is peeling and burning. I have applied so much moisturiser and it is doing nothing, that is how dry it is. I can't leave the house because I just have white peeling bits of skin everywhere, it's humiliating. I would not recommend this product at all.

It works you just have to adjust the usage to accommodate your own skin
This product does work. Clearly it dries out the pimples and reduces them if you have sensitive skin highly recommend you only use the wash where your skin is affected and use a good moisturiser that does not clog pores. Yes there are chances it stings if you have pimples its an anti bacterial and a cleanser if you are using it 3 times a day and your skin is very dry your either using it too often and need to resort to using it once a day or not moisturising enough. I have sensitive skin it stung alitlle especially on the really red sore to touch pimples but it dried them out and less painful and it did dry my skin so i resorted to only washing once a day and only putting it like spot treatment

Great!
It really is a good product and I have been using for a while. I get real bad pimples and blackhead etc... I have seen other reviews and I found a few reasons for why it stings etc.
1. the stinging is, you have open sores on the where you apply it, or its because its get into your pores and clean everything out (in other words, its just sinking in.
2. it dry's out your skin because its meant to dry the pimples and so on out so you can eventually just let them flake off I guess...

Great product (read below)
I got this yesterday in a local pharmacy and the pharmacist advised me to use this 3 times (one time per morning, afternoon & night). It has been 1 day and I’m already seeing a difference. It does sting a little bit after you apply it but it does turn into the normal pH that it is supposed to be in. I use Cetaphil Moisturiser after I put it on and I put a thin of 5% Benzoyl Peroxide on top of it. It definitely works and it’s very cheap!

Very drying and painful
I have used this product for about a week now and during the first few times it really seemed to work gradually. Only downside at the start was the stinging but I was fine to look past that if it helps my skin. Unfortunately the more I used it, the more my face started to dry up. Now I’ve stopped using it completely because it’s so dry that no amount of moisturiser helps and it’s so painful! Definitely not worth it!!

Seemed to be working but not anymore
At first it seemed to be working slightly (I didn't really notice that many changes but there were some) but now it doesn't work at all. Not worth it in my opinion.

Harsh and stings the skin
I bought this for my brother who has acne. The first time he used it, it stinged his skin about 30 seconds after applying onto the skin. Then, after further applications it didn't sting as much. He uses it to kill bacteria that might cause acne and also to wash off the oil and dirt on his face before applying Benzac AC 5%. This product also might dry out the skin and irritate the skin afterwards. We were quite surprised at how harsh it was, as we didn't expect it to sting. Luckily, I only bought the smaller size. I'm not sure if we will be purchasing this product again due to the harshness.

Amazing product
I have always struggled with my skin. particularity pimples.
After using Pro-active (which works also) and other "acne" based routines i felt that pHisohex worked a charm for me. mainly because of it's price.
This wash will defiantly dry out your skin if you use to much. particularly if you're are using a moisturizer with alcohol in it or a moisturizer made for acne then you will definitely wreck your face.
I wear alot of makeup so i would use the brand "simple" which have a makeup removing mousse in their range to remove any makeup on ...Read more
my face whilst showering I would then use the pHisohex in a 5cent piece measurement in the palm of my hand and rub my face for about 30 seconds, wash it off and then apply a light daily moisturizer (i like the sukin products) and then repeat this process about 3 times a week. Proactive completely wrecked my skin however i haven't had acne so i think if you have acne then pHisohex may not work for you. if you have constant pimples then pHisohex will work for you given that you do not have sensitive skin. I do really believe that pHisohex beats any other "pimple" product on the market.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Questions & Answers
Brooke S.asked
why does my face go red and stings when I use this cream it never use to do it but now it does
1 answer
This could quite likely be the fact that your skin has started to become sensitive due to certain things, or you are leaving the wash on for too long. Some things you could do are use the product less often or leave it on for a shorter amount of time. Make sure to also be gentle if using the wash or other exfoliants on your skin.

does this product help acne if you have sensitive skin?
1 answer
to a certain extent, my skin is quite sensitive and oily and this product irritated my skin even more and caused me to break out so I don't recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin or suffers from hormonal acne.
(hope this helps :))
