Works a Treat
We bought this product because we can't afford to run our split system all night. So far, since purchasing it, we've noticed our electricity bill has been significantly lower. We feel good about using it because we're conscious of carbon and also because we don't like sleeping with our split system on as the air gets too dry. With a Coolzy we leave the window open and this seems to keep a nice air flow going all night while we sleep in the cool breeze from the machine. I'm happy to give this product 5 stars.

Does what is says on the box!
I bought one of these case my houses insulation us terrible and we've got an open plan house. This means that any air con is fighting the radiant heat and incoming hot air. That means it's burning needless energy. The product is sold as a personal air con and only works when really focused on you. That's fine for me cause I use it for WFH and sleep. Sleep it's fine but I've heard its better with the tent so when Coolzy has those back in stock I'll be buying one of them. In terms of cost of running, it's hasn't changed my electricity bill much which is more than I can say for my split system which munches about 10 bucks a night. All up, super pleased with the Coolzy and would recommend.

Works nicely in our small office
We have a small office in a warehouse that isn't insulated. I use this pointed at my while sitting at my desk because there's no chance of air conditioning the entire space (it wouldn't be practical or energy efficient). So instead I bought a coolzy. I point it at me and it has kept me cool on days that would otherwise have been pretty warm.
You do have to sit in front of the machine to get a benefit but I'm a web dev so I sit and stare at a screen all day. This means I'm stationary and the machine sits around 3 feet from my desk. So far I'm pretty happy with it. I was also surprised at how quiet it was. Didn't affect Zoom calls at all. Would recommend.

One of the best purchases I have ever made!!!! Real Refrigerated Air conditioner what works perfectly even on humid days
Brilliant portable air-conditioner. First of all I found that not only the air-conditioner itself but also the extras ... tent and carry bag are of very high quality and very reasonably priced. The unit I purchased has the remote control and allows the temperature and fan speed to be adjusted, I like to sleep with a bit of a cool chill and I adjusted the settings accordingly. Now finally getting a really really good night sleep even on the hot humid nights. Very pleasantly surprised how cheap it is to run the unit the whole night. One of the best purchases I have ever made !!!!!

Not sure what its supposed to do
If you sit in one spot, position it pefectly so that it maybe hits your face it will cool your face down for a few minutes until it overheats the rest of the room and then you just sit sweating while the room gets hotter and hotter.
Dont buy if you expect to get cooler, so disappointed and then when i emailed them about it they just ignored my email.
Now i am left with something taking space in a room. Maybe it might work if you move your whole room to the window and have the exhaust pointing out of a window, but i didnt want to have to set my whole room up around this thing.

Hi Lever,
We're very sorry to hear that the Coolzy wasn't a good choice for you. ...
Read more Reading your review, it sounds like you were hoping the Coolzy would cool the entire room. On our website we try to explain that the Coolzy cools people and not rooms. On the product page we say: "The Coolzy-Pro Portable Air Conditioner cools people, not rooms by providing a constant stream of cool refrigerated air from the front of the unit and a small amount of warm air from the rear of the unit. In large spaces, this warm air usually dissipates however in smaller rooms, the warm air needs to be vented by leaving a door or window open." On the How it Works page we say: "Unlike other portable air conditioners, Coolzy focuses on cooling people, not rooms by providing a stream of cool air from the front of the unit. The by-product of this cooling is a small amount of warm air (about the same as 3 old light bulbs) that is expelled from the rear of the unit (similar to a small bar fridge). We recommend that in small spaces, this warm air must be allowed to ventilate and escape the room. This can be done by leaving a window or door open." This means that if you were trying to cool a room, then the Coolzy is an inappropriate choice. By way of analogy, if a fork doesn't butter bread then it doesn't mean it's a poor product, it just means that it was the wrong tool for the job. We acknowledge that some folks might purchase the unit and find that that it isn't the perfect solution for what they're trying to achieve. For this reason, we urge you to take advantage of the 14-day money back guarantee. This is to ensure that you don't feel cheated and also to make sure you do have the $ to purchase the right product for you :) Just email [email protected] and we'll get it sorted for you :) Sincerely, Coolzy.comYeh and it did cool a very small part of me, but the room got that hot i was just sweating

Honestly can't live without it.
We're in the middle of a 40 degree heatwave in Perth, WA. The rental I live in only has aircon in one room of the house and since our house was built in the 1920's, it doesn't hold the cool well in summer. I'm not sure I'd be able to sleep at night without my Coolzy.
We're also in the middle of an extended period of time working from home (thanks Covid) so having my Coolzy next to me all day long is a saviour.
Obviously a personal air-conditioner isn't designed to cool a whole room, just the close area in front of the unit, so my cat has love...

Works exactly as described but make sure you know what you’re buying
I’ve been using this for a couple of months. I wanted an air conditioner that didn’t need open windows as I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping with my windows open. I also wanted something portable that I could use in my study while WFH. This really only works for one person or two people sitting side by side (or sleeping side by side). Even on the coolest setting (17 degrees) it’s not really cold like a typical air conditioner but it does make me feel cool and comfortable even if it’s a 35 degree day and very humid. It has to be very close to yo...
Read moreu, ideally around a metre away. I find it’s way quieter than my old fashioned air conditioner but the noise level is probably similar to a fan or split system. I leave it on all night on hot nights and it’s kept me comfortable. You don’t wake up feeling dry like typical air conditioners. I have my windows closed but my door open and it works well. It’s heavy and the shape and height of it makes it hard to move. My place is small so I can roll it around but I wouldn’t want to be carrying it up steps or moving it frequently over long distances. It has also left dents in my hardwood floors from where I have rolled it around. I will be rolling it on a yoga mat from now. The machine is not stylish, especially when the vents are open but that doesn’t bother me. If you have realistic expectations and this suits your needs, it’s really worth considering.Purchased in at Coolzy for $449.

Simon,
I hear your frustration. Couriers frustrate us too. Here is the timeline of your order:...
Read more- Order placed 26/12 (our website has a pop-up, ribbon on the top of the home-page, blog post and note in the freight section, all stating that we're experiencing courier delays). You knew this when you placed the order. - 27/12 and 28/12 was a public holiday - 29/12 around midday your parcel was given to Toll IPEC. Here's the tracking: https://trackmyparcel.com.au/6883445000321 - 29/12 1pm you asked to self-collect from our office via email. Due to the volume of emails we received after the heat-wave, we didn't read yours in time. We did however respond to your technical queries in a timely manner. - 30/12 the parcel wasn't delivered. This is in the context of our website saying that their are delays with couriers and our website clearly stating that our normal delivery times are 3-7 business days. At this point your parcel has been in transit for 2 business days - 31/12 we begin receiving the following messages from you on our FaceBook page: "I got an email from the shitty fucking freight company you use saying it would be out for delivery yesterday and it never fucking arrived. I was at home all fucking day waiting. Cunts.". "And now I will drive to Nedlands to just pick up my order because your company and inconoent team of fucking monkies can't seem to organise a delivery that's 10 km away. Fucking wankers!!!". "Oh and I've emailed and called repeatedly before this point of complete frustration and your useless fucking staff refuse to reply." We haven't received a phone call from you. Please check you are calling the correct number 1300 22 66 58 Now to resolve this problem, here is the latest tracking info from the Toll website: https://www.mytoll.com/web/guest/shipment-details?consignmentId=b44fe322488bb81cc74764a85f88b29debac9db8 Obviously I can't promise they'll deliver today because I don't drive the truck. All I can do is rely on them to get the parcel to you. If you like, you are welcome to contact them directly with the tracking number. The only resolution I can offer is to cancel your order (which I am more than happy to do). Just let me know what you want to do.Find out how Coolzy-Pro compares to other Portable Air Conditioners

The igloo tent is like being in a cool fort.
This is how I have the coolzy set up all over my (rented) house and home office. It may not be for everyone but it works for me in this set up and I love it. Using the igloo tent reminds me of building a fort for when I was a kid and this just makes it so much more fun. In one of the photos, I have the unit set up in a big camping tent in our balcony where my two small kids hang out and play. I cut out a small window for the coolzy unit, works really well all day.

At last a portable aircon that works!
Thank you so much to the inventor of this product. He has thought of everything. We live on the Gold Coast/Australia where the humidity can get really high with exhausting heat for a very long time. We were getting very nervous about entering into another long humid summer but I don't think we will have a problem at all. We tested it on a hot day and was amazed at the cold air that came out of this very small & stylish Unit. Easy to move around as the castors run smoothly and a nice long cord is provided too. Its a nice compact design, so it doesn't take up much space, super quiet too. We are very impressed with this unit and will be recommending it to everyone.

Good while renting
I'm renting a small weatherboard in Sydney. In summer it gets hot! infact, even in spring is starts to get warm. Some nights it's hard to sleep. Anyway, bought the unit cause it's portable and doesn't need install. Means I can take it with me when the rental lease finishes.
So turned it on the other night and boom! kept me cool and got a good nights sleep. Feelin pretty great about it. Would highly recommend.

Bought for Toyota hiace campervan. Cools so well have to pull the blanket over.
We've had our campervan for four years and travel all over Australia. A fan just is enough on really hot humid nights. We always stay where there is 240volt power. We just bought the cool focus model for $629 on promotion from Mitre 10 retailer at Corinda in Brisbane, the only retailer in Queensland. Off we went to Noosa for a week in the last week of January. The unit sits behind our front seats facing directly at the middle of our made up bed about a metre away. The curtain that divides the cab sits between the two open flaps when the unit i...
Read mores running. The hot air is exhausted into the cab, We leave the front windows down about 50mm so the air can escape. We have weather shields covering the windows so no rain cant enter the cab. We mainly bought it for sleeping on hot nights. Once it's been on for a couple of hours we were pulling a blanket over us as it cooled the back of the van so we'll. It's whisper quiet on low but we ran it on high speed at the recommended 17 degrees and it's no noisier than our fan on high and I'm a light sleeper. It cut out almost all outside noise which is an issue at caravan parks at times. We have been reluctant to do allot of western travel in summer not having aircon so this has opened up More opportunity for us. This review was aimed at those of you that camp in tents and campervans as it's the first real solution to compact aircon that we have been able to find on the internet. Would I recommend this product, definitely, with a two year warranty a great Aussie invention.Purchased in for $629.

2018 - Was melting in a house with no air conditioning. Did some research before buying the close comfort set up ..... Being off grid I admit I was sceptical even though the research regarding this set up was positive. . I live in South East Queensland with a summer season that would try the patience of the best . The close comfort cools like a little beauty. I have the igloo set up over my bed and I run it on 17degrees and sleep under a doona ....... I absolutely love it and that fact that it’s so economical on power usage means I can ru. It off grid .... Highly recommend it . Fabulous set up - Cheers Jen .

The Coolzy Personal Air Conditioner is different from other portable ACs because of its innovative technology. Unlike other portable air conditioners, it is completely self-contained, and doesn’t need an exhaust hose, window kit or water to operate.
Features
- Coolzy.com states that this portable AC can be used in a variety of rooms, including bedrooms, offices, sheds, tents and caravans.
- Three speeds allow you to choose the level of cooling you would prefer. It also includes the option to switch between a regular refrigerated AC or a fan.
- A low power draw of 300 watts of electricity makes this Coolzy AC energy efficient compared to other similarly sized portable air conditioners.
- This portable AC runs off the residential standard of 240V of power. However, it can also be used off grid (e.g. while camping), using batteries, solar panels, or a generator. The power supply needs to have a minimum voltage of 215 volts AC and a maximum supply of 250 Volts AC.
- A removable tray makes it easier to collect and remove condensation that collects while the air conditioner is running.
Points of Praise
- The Coolzy Personal Air Conditioner garnered praise from reviewers as a strong and highly effective portable AC that works, while still being economical with the power bills.
- Residents of home in hot and humid locations found that the weather was no match for the cooling power of their new Coolzy unit. Air coming out of the AC remaining cool and crisp, no matter the weather.
- This truly portable AC was used in a variety of settings by reviewers. The Coolzy portable AC was used with good results for renters, for reviewers trying to get to sleep on a hot summer’s night, for trips in the campervan, and for home offices.
Coolzy.com has kept its focus on creating a winning product - and the brand has succeeded. The innovative cooling unit takes home a 2022 ieatwords Award for best portable air conditioner, with top points going to its outstanding build quality and ease of use.
