ok overall
Good tasting milk for the benefits it gives, although, yes, a tad expensive one could argue! It's a unique product for what it claims to do

It is great
I have a problem with the cartons leaking all the time, have to put paper towel under them in the fridge at all times.
I have a fridge in my car and am sick of having to clean it out and put up with the smell of the milk, have to put vanilla essence in it

Very difficult carton to open ....
The carton flaps are very hard to prise open even with maximum finger and thumb pressure. Similarly, even the sharpest and strongest fingernail cannot easily pierce the 2 closures. So there exists the need either to punch in a screwdriver blade at some point just below where the flaps start or to cut a downward aperture into one of the 4 flaps with a pair of scissors - in either instance failing to provide a usable spout and a resultant mess of milk on the kitchen bench during attempted pouring. This a shame because the milk, itself, is great...Read more
quality and is a step in the right direction for LDL cholesterol reduction. Given community-wide concern with high cholesterol levels, this product (as is the case for cholesterol-lowering margarines and breakfast cereals) should be made as easily usable as possible.Similar opinion? Probably very good, but . . . expensive
Based on what others have written, and on the fact that doctors (inc. mine) recommend it, this is probably a very good product, as a low-fat milk with added benefits. Assuming the principle is valid - that the "phytosterols" (from plants) in this will compete for absorption in your gut with "cholesterols" (from animals) - use of this milk should be great for anyone with current or potential cholesterol issues.
But it comes in 1 litre cartons only, and is twice as expensive (by $/volume) as my regular low fat milk (2 litre bottles). It is also ...Read more

I am asking if maybe this milk could be put into a bottle, instead of a carton, as I have developed arthritis I am having great trouble opening the carton.

It works
When I was told that for the sake of my health I needed to lower my Cholesterol level I made Dairy Farmewrs Heart Active part of my diet.
Well my current Cholesterol levels confirm it was a good decision.
As for the product apart from being a little more expensive than regular milk I have no other complaints.
Coles has it on special regularly at $2.50 a litre, in fact I am at a loss to understand why they don't make it the regular price.
Dairy Farmers Heart Active tastes good even in coffee, has a long shelf life when kept refrigerated correctly meaning when on special you can stock till the next Coles special offering.
It you value your heart make this milk part of your healthy Cholesterol lowering diet.

yes, there is a tasty low fat milk
I started using Heart Active milk when I found out my cholesterol was too high. While other low fat milks always tasted very watery, Heart Active milk had a full cream milk-like taste, so the changeover was quite painless. My cholesterol dropped back to normal after making various dietary changes, incl the change of milk.

Problems with opening the carton
Just recently I have had problems with opening the carton, I have been trying to open the right side but it is tearing and so when you pour it spills everywhere . There is no problem with the milk .I didn't know whether other customers are having the same problem.

I love this stuff.
I have a weakness for creamy milk, and when someone mentioned to me this Heart Active is creamy tasting I had to try it. Never gone back since.
I don't particularly care for the cholesterol benefits, I drink it for the taste. One of the best tasting milks I've tried, and I drink many different varieties of it. I'd never have guessed it's almost no fat, it tastes full cream. I like this stuff so much sometimes I buy 4 cartons and chug them in almost a day.
Very happy I came across Heart Active, I'll keep buying it as long as it's available :)

It's Great!!!
I drink 600 mls everyday and my cholesterol has gone from 6.5 to 5.5 in 3 months. It tastes great.
I drink it for breakfast and add 2 tablespoons of (German) lecithin granules and a tablespoon of Bioglan SuperFoods MultiGreens with cacoa... tastes very nice!!!

Pretty ordinary milk - then it threw a curve ball by delivering me a 'thing'...
I found out my cholesterol has climbed up to about 6.5. So in the hypochondriac way all my eating habits have been changed and my doctor is ripping their hair out and my new dietician has drawn me up a plan. I have been on a strict diet of lettuce, carrots, what looks and tastes like hay and other green roughage since my blood test came back a little high.
I have been gritting and bearing with the use of this milk since my initial blood test and have been using the 'heart active' milk and other things, and have found out since that my choles...Read more
terol hasn't really gone down. This based on 6 months of use of multiple 'sterol' containing products that claim to reduce cholesterol absorption. So this morning I went to make a coffee which I do every morning, I lament using this milk (Heart Active) as it makes my plungered coffee taste terrible (and because its so expensive and tastes poorly), I had a half used bottle with a Use Before of the 14th June (today being the 30th May) opened Wednesday 28th. I proceeded to make my coffee as usual, added water and all that and when it came to pouring the milk everything went fine until a 'bloop'; something came out other than milk and spilled my coffee everywhere and this gelatinous thing went into my coffee cup from the carton of Heart Active milk. When I poured the coffee out and fished the gelatinous blob out it looked / looks like a clear blob or akin to a jelly fish you come across on the beach. I have emailed the company and have not received a call back - would have expected some kind of response 4 hours later. Will be forfeiting my care for this milk and going back to something I can trust with my eyes and go back to enjoying the real taste of milk again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Extremely poor batch
Texture excessively thin, Tastes so salty even ginger nut biscuits and coffee do not hide the revolting taste. I have been using this product now over 12 months against my preference for full body milk, BUT if it is going to poison me with salt you can forget it. The product is pushed as a healthy item BUT if people rely on it for that then that is what IT MUST BE.
was helping to control my cholesterol
undrinkable, and possibly harming me with exess salt

Not Happy with the product
I have been drinking Heart Active Milk for over 2 years and my cholesterol has RISEN from 5 to 7.5. So I am not happy with your product.I eat a healthy, balanced diet and could not believe it when my last blood test came back with a higher cholesterol reading, I will now have to have medication to lower it.
taste
did not lower the cholesterol in fact it increased

Excellent product
The milk taste really good. My cholesterol as come down after i started to use HeartActive. I have been using it for the last 2 years. It would have been better if the price of the product would have been cheaper. At $2.90 for a litter of milk makes it really expensive.
Taste
Very Expensive

My doctor asked me how I did it!
Last March my total colesterol was 5. When tested last week (27th July) the reading for total colesterol was 2.5 My doctor genuinely wanted to know what I had done. I told him the only dietary change was that I had changed to Heart Active. The reason for the change in the first place was that I just wanted to try something different. I am blessed in two ways, 1) I really enjoy the taste and 2) the dramatic drop of total colesterol.
It's a great product.
the best value for money
