Seriously, Deferit has been an absolute lifesaver. This is how I pay many of my bills when I know that I will be short for that week. I try to budget as much as I can but sometimes it becomes difficult on a one income family. I have also encouraged others to use your service, there is no need to stress about bills when Deferit is available, and for such a low cost each month when you have bills active. Love the service and love the concept.

So being stuck for bills was stressing me out and someone told me about deferit. I was unsure about it but decided to give it a go anyway. They have taken so much stress off my shoulders by helping with my bill! 100% will use again!

Whilst the idea is good in theory, when will these companies realise that performing a credit check for essential bills sub $500 looks quite bad on your credit file.

Imagine applying for a home loan and the loan assessor sees a credit check for deferit, he or she will likely file your application in the closest document shredder as they will wonder why you cant afford the light bill etc.

In fairness to deferit, he fees are very fair compared to the other BNPL schemes.

I signed up to test out deferit. I uploaded a small bill of around $120 just to trial the service, and all I can say is what a bloody fantastic idea. Sure you might pay an extra $10 in fees, but for those of us that find it difficult to pay a power bill etc on time, especially around times of Xmas etc, this service is gonna be the afterpay of bills. I've made my first payment, and it's just like a buy now pay later service, only for billing. Thanks for coming up with a service that's going to assist Aussies to keep ontop of their bills.

I have been using it for more than a year now. It is great. An extremely easy way to pay your bills, especially with the smartphone app. Helps you manage your bill expenses.

I have deferred a few bills and been happy and my last bill I've had to confirm it's me and send my I'd to confirm it's me when nothing has changed now im afraid my due date has passed why do I have to confirm I'd when nothing has changed

This is an amazing service which allows you to defer bill by essentially splitting them into different payments - so if you are whacked with a huge electricity bill (like I was for $1200 during winter), you can defer it to 3 payments of $400 over a few months for a monthly fee of $5 and Deferit pays the whole bill before its due date. WIN. That means you don't lose your early discount with the electricity company (and also don't pay late fees which are much higher than the $5/month) and it also means your credit rating remains good. There is no interest charged.

Helpful and saves on those late fees! My credit score was pretty good but now even better with being able to Have My bills paid off in one go with just small amount to pay back. A great initiative.

Pretty good in a pinch, it does put listings on your credit file, so be aware of that. Still waiting to see if they use positive credit reporting, perhaps the monthly fee is slightly high. Great customer service though and easy to use.

I have had a great customer service experience with Deferit, I had made a wrong decision to post my first review based on not knowing how the system works out your amount you can lend, but now I understand exactly how they operate and how their system works, it is a very benificial and an easy service to use. If you have any concerns, all to need to to is ask.
