Abysmal customer service

published

I don't usually leave reviews, but Dell has become an exception. Have waited 10+ days and have yet to receive an order number. I realise Covid has slowed things down significantly, but increased transparency would be appreciated. This means customer service that's actually accessible, instead of being put on hold indefinitely, and having to go through lengthy processes with multiple staff. Please save your money and stay far, far away from Dell.

DELL'S SERVICE NON EXISTANT

published

I ordered an item online. Dell delivered the wrong item. It is impossible to get them to send the correct item. Keep on asking question after question, each question taking days to respond to. Now asking for a photo of the plain brown box it came in.

Wonderful all in one PC, delivery also pretty quick, service on the phone a bit tedious but still quite helpful, not sure why so many poor reviews on this company.

Worst service ever

I ordered a desktop for work three weeks ago, it was shipped two days after the order. I have been checking the order status and it has not been changed from "in transit to local hub" ever since. So I called the customer service for an update, a lady picked up the phone straight away and asked me for the order number, then she told me she will put me on hold while she is checking my order details. I was on hold for an hour and nobody picked up the phone. I guess they just don't care about anything after they take your money. This will be my first and last time using Dell product.

In 2009,I bought a Dell studio 1745, the motherboard was fault, Dell technician came twice to fix it. I used the laptop to 2018 until I accedently broke the power button .Today, a technician came to fix my Dell inspiron 15 5570 screen. I think Dell is a good company.

Terrible support

I purchased a lap top and associated relatively expensive mouse. All arrived quickly, but mouse wheel was slightly damaged - out of alignment so it didn't scroll properly. Advised Dell who quickly said they'd refund me for the mouse.
I had, however, asked for a replacement mouse not a refund. Despite many emails, they would not address the question of providing me with a replacement mouse. Response to my emails usually took days and kept saying the refund would come. Eventually the refund arrived in my account, but not once did they respond to my questions about a replacement.

Ordered a monitor 14 days ago, absolutely horrendous customer service: been telling us they will call us back 4 times now and not one call till now. A cheap way to deposit money and never get it back, better than a bank.

website support for specific models.

It's fair enough that I can't get phone support for the 2 Dell laptops I have as they are both laptops that I have recovered from my employer. They were headed for the bin due to apparent faults which were false. Trying to find drivers on their website was impossible to the point where I had to open the laptop to physically identify the hardware in order to obtain drivers from a different website.

Today, for the second time, Dell "updated" my computer and caused me to lose an hour's work. I don't want your updates and I don't want to lose my work so you can "advise" me about Dell products. I paid for my computer. It's mine. I don't want you taking it over and losing the work which I value.
