Built-in unit, hard to clean
This device was included in the house I bought last year, and my wife was keen to get her daily caffeine fix and learn her favourite settings. The device worked seamlessly for 6 months, but then started to dribble. We managed this aspect by keeping a cup under it, so no overflow would get onto the floor.
My wife has used many other machines, so is knowledgeable about cleaning and descaling and taught me how to take it apart to do more tricky cleaning. We found that descaling doesn't solve the issue of the build-up, and some of the parts aren't...Read more
accessible without a proper technician to get to them. It has made the machine less efficient and a bit louder. The coffee is decent, but the pour is a bit weak, so we always do a double shot for each cup. I wouldn't buy this machine again, but is a moderately good device when you know what to expect of it.

Love this machine!
Prior to this machine I had a counter-top semi automatic delonghi which never had a single issue in the seven years that I owned it. This was the main reason that I chose a delonghi built in machine for my new kitchen, and so far I've had the same experience. Makes a great cup of coffee, is 100% reliable and looks great. It also costs substantially less than competing built in coffee machines. My kids love using just the milk frothing function to make themselves hot chocolates.

Awesome machine
This machine not only makes a great coffee but being in-wall it looks awesome. Extremely easy to use, simple to clean. We use ours several times a day and visitors are very impressed by it. Also no clutter on your bench like a bulky machine. Very good value in my opinion.

A problem that won't go away
From day one, the sensor that is inside the machine where the milk jug inserts, was faulty. It was replaced (one week with no machine). The machine worked fine for 10 months, but produced very mediocre coffee all the time (yes, I tried many different coffees, and adjusting the grind etc) The latte setting makes a cold coffee, only the cappuccino setting makes a coffee hot enough to enjoy. Then the sensor went again. Another week for repairs. I had it back for only 3 weeks, and it has gone again. Luckily I bought an extended warranty, so I'm contacting the retailer for one last repair job before I sell this lemon. And to think Harvey Norman wanted $3,990. for this & I thought I got a bargain t an online retil shop new @ $1940. Never again!

Good value for a product with few alternatives
First compare the brands VZUG, Bosche, Siemens, etc.. and you will see that apart from the Miele one, they are all the same internals, made by DeLonghi, but for a brand name premium. To see this go into the shop and open the front door and look at the middle unit with red clips. That aside, you have 2 choices for inbuilt, Delonghi(ish) and Miele. The Miele is more expensive, but with long skinny tubes and more difficult milk removal (in my opinion). This coffee machine is a bit noisy, so I can't use it until we both wake up, but I like the ...Read more
coffee, it has enough settings to customize a cup, and seems to be much cheaper per cup than pod coffee, although requires more cleaning than a pod coffee machine, about 15 minutes once a week. It helps that I have a cappuccino, while my wife has a flat white, as I've customized the 2 settings to our preferred cup size. It's a pretty simple concept, beans grind in the top, get compressed and water filters through, dribbles into cup, while the removable milk container does the milk, and allows you to store it in the fridge.Similar opinion? I want to rewrite my previous review. I have had this machine for several months now and have got the hand of how to make great coffees. It is just a dream to clean - way easier than my old Miele and really is extremely well designed. Would recommend to anyone who wants a built-in machine that makes flat whites and other fancy coffees.
Extremely easy to clean and fill water/coffee etc
The milk does not come out super hot, but overall is fine temperature wise

Really love this coffee machine!
We purchased this built in coffee machine when we renovated our kitchen about 6 months ago. We have 3 late tean/early 20's children who all drink coffee as well as my husband and me, so I thought that it was worth the expense, and it is!
Being fully automatic makes it so quick to make a coffee, no standing around with jugs heating milk. As most of the family drink either flat white or Late, the milk throther is not critical for us. However if you are a keen capuccino drinker, the fluff is not as thick and silky as you would get doing it m...Read more
anually but still OK. It heats the milk well, but it is not really really hot! The other advantage is that the milk jug lives in the fridge, and so it does not have to be washed after each use, just when its empty. The coffee has a beautiful cremma and my friend who drinks black also agrees that the taste is lovely. The controls are easy to use, and you can also set the quantity for the cup or glass that you want to use, we have a latte glass that I have set to the correct level. It also has an adjustment for very strong, strong, standard, mild and very mild so it suits everyones taste! It is easy to clean and descale. I would strongly recommend this machine it has been fantastic!1 comment
