Burning hell!!!
Due to back pain I decided to try Deep Heat Extra you know that saying "I will try anything to get rid of this pain" well I can't stress enough to anyone thinking about using this, to STAY AWAY from extra strength deep heat!
The first five minutes were a little "ohhh ahhh" to minutes later running round like a headless chicken in tears almost feeling like my skin was being burnt off! I am not exaggerating! It was that bad, I tried everything to take the burning away but it just got hotter and hotter!
I would have rather dealt with the back ...Read more

No way, never again.
Rubbed it in on my neck and shoulders 1 minute later I was bawling in pain trying to get it off in the shower. This product burns your skin, not a good burn, a stinging terrible burn!

Exruciating burning sensation
I would not recommend this at all. I have serious neck pain from time to time and usually use a standard Deep Heat/Dencorub gel. I opted for the Extra Strength a couple of days ago and every time I use it, it's just caused unbearable burning/pain. As another reviewer commented, not a nice heat pain, but a very painful one. I can't believe this is still being sold. I'd recommend a standard-strength gel, stay away from this one.

This product needs a warning ⚠️ sign??
I used it in spot sections like my neck and it did burn but I could deal with it. Then I had it applied all over my back and it felt like whatever chemical they use in it was burning away at my skin and I don't mean that great deep heat burn I mean like that painful burn that had me running to the shower in tears. I'm pretty good with pain but this was extreme... I personally wouldn't recommend it but if you're going to use it don't apply a big amount. Maybe rub a little into an area and spot test, just to save yourself the redness and the burning.

Product you have to be very, very careful with.
I had ankle pain and applied the night before. Next morning pain was gone! I went for a long walk and got a shock that I had a very big bright red mark around my ankle. I did have fitted elastin topped socks at the time but didn't feel any discomfort. Now it feels hot but doesn't really hurt but it looks really awful. I guess it does warn against bandaging and maybe the socks imitated that but i was surprised it happened day after applying.

Hot for sure, but effective
It is hot. Feels great. I use it on my knees and ankles sometimes after running at night. I fall asleep with beautiful warm tingling joints and wake with no pain in the morning.

Burns a lot
When I started putting this on, it was
nice and it smelt really good. After about 5 minutes my legs started to get really hot. I thought it would pass but about 10min later my legs were on fire.
I had to get into a cold bath and even then the stinging got worse. Was in absolute tears.
Don't recommend this product at all.
On the other hand, the pain made me forget how sore my muscles were.

Definitely extra strength, but for all the wrong reasons.
I have been suffering from a bad back the past week and is especially painful at night. my doctor recommended a heat gel. because the pain is so bad, I opted for a strong gel. I've used deep heat before and didn't feel it was enough. so I purchased the dencorub extra strength gel. I applied liberally to the area and it remained cold for 5 minutes so I applied more. after a nother minute, it started to burn like fire. I have a strong pain tolerance but it was so painful. my back still aches but I can't get to sleep because I've felt like I'm on ...Read more
fire the past half hour and my muscles feel no better. I may have applied this wrong so please just be careful with this product. I will not use it again. It doesn't seem like it is going to stop any time soon and is getting hotter and hotter. inexpensive burning like fire and didn't help muscle pain.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

how long after a shower do I wait before I apply the red tube of Dencorub. I didn't wait once before and boy did it burn so I thought I would ask. Any answers anyone???

Don't use it on any skin that is sensitive. It might work on hands and lower legs but I wouldn't try again after it literally burnt me.

Does dencorub reduce swelling?
1 answer
No help with swelling or underlying pain it just burns and when I say burns I mean it BURNS. Hurts much more than my initial muscle pain. Will be sticking with deep heat in future.
